Nina dropped her head into the box but she didn't take her eyes off me.
I had convinced her to volunteer at the magic show last night and when I heard I didn't have to have her restored, I jumped at the opportunity to take her home.
Now here she was on our kitchen counter, watching me cautiously since I couldn't keep myself from ticking her feet.
We had turned into a kind of peek a boo where she'd watch me and I'd try to sneak up on her and tickle those soles.
She'd kick and scream as much as she could, but what could she do? She couldn't pull her feet in. The best she could do was look between them at me.
But I knew she loved it. We were having a great time.
And she'd have an even better time once I took her out of the box.
