Heather had waited patiently for me to mingle through the crowd on my way back to her.

She had volunteered in tonight's magic show and I had not yet restored her. She had entered a modified compressed illusion and I had cranked her head and shoulders down onto her hips. The dazed and confused volunteer tentatively stepping out of the illusion always got a big reaction from the crowd.

It was even more impressive when I left them that way for the rest of the show.

She seemed to be here all alone tonight, which piqued my interest.

"What if I told you I wasn't going to restore you tonight?"

"Uhm-", whatever she had expected she had not expected this.

She looked apprehensive as I explained why.

"You see, I think deep down you really wanted to volunteer tonight, didn't you?". She wasn't going to admit it, but she didn't know how to evade it either.

"You find it exciting, don't you? Being this way?"

I still had her at a loss for words.

"You see, there is a bachelor party with about 50 drunk guys in the back room. They offered me 10 grand to donate you to the party tonight."

"What?" She smiled and laughed, obviously thinking I was joking.

I was not joking.

"They offered me 15 grand to vanish your head first."
