Chapter 1
"EEEK! Go away! I-I don't wanna die!"
The man screamed in fear. The fear, of someone stronger than them. The fear, of being trampled on.
But turning their back to the enemy they made an enemy of, was not a wise decision.
"AGGH!"
And thus, the man fell on the ground and joined the rest of the bodies lying around.
"Hmph. You'll reap what you have sowed."
With a simple swing, the blood on the sword scattered on the ground.
She sighed deeply as she stared at the ceiling.
"Man... Why did I end up in [Ojera] of all places?"
Even if she stared mindlessly into the ceiling while grumbling, she still didn't let her guard down. As she knew, or rather, she felt more enemies approaching.
"Looks like they finally figured out the summoning failed from all those screams, huh? Not that magic is going to work on me either way."
You may also be wondering, how did she even end up in this situation? Short answer? Isekaid. No, it's not truck-kun this time. Alright, fine, let's roll back the time before this mess happened.
<Monday morning, 2 hours earlier>
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
"Ghh... Shut up you... stupid alarm..."
Maria Laika, or Mala, as her close friends calls her, was feeling under the weather. An ordinary woman in her late 20's that works for a game company that is quite famous.
Of course, she joined the company 5 years prior, when she was just merely 21 years old. At the time, the company was quite small. In fact, her CEO was the one who hired her. It came out of the blue, like "Heya Mala! Yer good with computer stuff yah? I need some help, so join my company!", which just confused her.
But to tell the truth, it was a god send for her. Maria, or Mala, was trying very hard to find a job after graduating from collage. Even her own parents were worried about her. How her friend, Sui, started a company, was a no brainer.
Sui, or Suzanne Von Klarzta, was a daughter of a very wealthy family. You can basically say they were nobles, okay, they *are* nobles. Wealthy kids usually look down upon the common folk, but not Sui, nor her family. They were actually quite ecstatic to hear she finally got a friend at middle school. I got quite worried that I was her only friend at the time.
Anyway, things happened, and I got a job as a programmer. Our first game became a huge success, thanks to Sui's amazing leadership skills. And that game was called [Silver Kingdoms Online], or SKO for short. It ran for about 4 and a half years, I was sad to see it go, but it was an amazing experience.
Mala stretched the moment she left the bed. Once that was done, she did her business as usual in the early mornings.
"Now that I'm ready for a new day, let's take a look at the phone. I hope it won't rain like crazy like yesterday..."
As she was briefly checking her phone, she noticed everything around her got oddly quiet and pitch black around her.
"Hm? Did the power go out? But if that was the case, the sun would have lit up the room trough the windows..."
As soon as she stared into the darkness, she noticed something weird. Very, very weird.
It didn't take a few minutes or so, which it usually does for you to get used to a very dark room, but merely a brief second. But that's not what made Mala shocked. It was that she was now standing in a room with large pillars.
"Wha-"
For a moment she fought she was going crazy or maybe hallucinating, but pinching her cheek didn't help, and not did the echo in the room and her gloves.
"Wait... gloves? I didn't-"
As she looked at her hands, one still holding her phone, somehow still connected to the net, while wearing a very high quality white leathery pair of gloves. Not only that, she wore a certain kind of armor and equipment that she quickly recognized.
"T-This is... Why am I wearing my avatar's equipment from SKO? Seeing it in person rather from a 3D model from my flat screen though, is rather exciting... But why? And mostly, how?"
She pondered about this weird predicament. "It shouldn't happen. It shouldn't be impossible. It's all in my head.", she thought. But try as she might, it did not change the truth.
The truth, that she somehow ended up in [Silver Kingdom Online], or a world similar to it. And the truth, that she is no longer at home and being able to go to work that she enjoyed.
Since she was the one who created all the fundamental code on SKO, she knew exactly what to do, to verify if this was the game she created. That is, if she actually had a working user interface.
But just as she was about to panic about that predicament, she felt something as if she always knew she could do it. It felt weird, but not, at the same time.
"Now this is some weird spooky shit."
She did as her gut told her, and casted [Rank 11: Dev-Light], and it worked!
Rank 11 spells, were developer related spells, basically, they were used for special promotion videos and what not, to make things look cool. It was very OP though, as it was never designed to be used by players in the first place, and only for the promotional trailers. She never got around to get rid of the code for rank 11 spells, as they could never be acquired in the first place.
The developer light spell activated, and the whole room lit up, as if the dark gloominess was all but a lie. Once she confirmed this, she realised that if she could cast rank 11-developer only-spells, that means that she was using her avatar, Mala.
A character that is fully immune to any and all magic and elemental. Quite unfair, and also a very unbalanced character. But, it was her developer account. There was no easier way to test things if you simply gave no restrictions on said dev account.
"I've become the cheat, huh? Sounds like one of those cliché isekai stories. Oh boy..."
Mala got a bit down when she realised that, but that was not the only thing. Her character was not even human. Her race was of the Oni race, a non playable special race. And not only that, one of her co-worker, the 3D artist that made the NPCs in the game, created an easter egg NPC that used the data from a previous deleted boss. Or to be more precise, he just reused the art assets, data and made it into an [Neutral NPC]. An NPC that would usually be found in towns, a simple generic NPC.
And that NPC, which was named [Rulu], was given a new weird backstory, to be Mala's daugther of all things. 'Rulu is the daughter of the True Demon Lord Mala, who is deemed a hero in many kingdoms, but an evil being on kingdoms that player's can't befriend.' and at the very end of the lengthy lore setting, her co-worker just randomly put 'She also adores her mother a lot.'
This NPC was actually really hard to find, and even until the game's final days, nobody really found it.
And just for your information. I'm not some demon lord or whatever, okay?
"I think he placed it within the kingdom of [Lyrul], which borders the kingdom of [Ojera]. Those two kingdoms had been at war for centuries, if I remember the lore correctly... Hm? Wait a minute..."
She looked at the ordinates and the art assets around her. Well, it's no longer a simple art asset, but the real deal. It screamed "Made in: Ojera" all over it. Once Mala looked the design of the pillars, then looked down where she stood. What Mala saw was something she had never have seen before.
"So this is what summoned me here..."
It was a large magic summoning circle which had been modified, and not only that, it looked quite crude. It didn't look as old as this room, as this room got repurposed to be a summoning room instead of a treasury.
"Luke didn't make something shabby as this, so it must have been created by those Ojera folk."
Ojera is a human supremacy kingdom. Mala never liked it's backstory and hated it with passion, but she couldn't go against her boss. Well, she could, and Sui would probably have it changed in a heartbeat. But the players seemed to like the kingdom. As in beating it up, and talking trash about it, that is.
It was a kingdom that you could never really join, and it was hostile to the players from the get go. Even if you chose the human race.
Now that she had pondered for 2 long hours to get her bearings together, and figured out where she was, she just needed to get out of the predicament she was currently in. But before she could do that, she felt the presence of people coming from behind the large double doors.
The doors opened widely, and people who looked like mages and knights appeared. One was probably a court mage, as he's using their court mage outfit.
When they noticed who stood in the center of the magic summoning circle, their eyes bulged. Mala spoke out to them.
"I guess you were the ones who summoned me."
Mala could easily tell that when they noticed she was not a human their mood got from being excited, to bloodlust. Well, that went for all of them.
"...Looks like we summoned a lowly being than a human. Knights, get rid of it!"
The court mage spat.
"So I really was summoned to Ojera. Ugh... Why did we create such a shitty kingdom..."
The knights drew their swords and rushed up to her. But to Mala, it looked like they were walking in slow motion instead.
Huh. So this is how it looks like when someone is OP or whatever.
Mala quickly holstered her phone to one of her available pockets, and drew her own sword so smoothly as if she always knew how to wield one. But what struck to her, was that she wasn't in the least afraid.
Is it because I'm my avatar? My own creation? I mean, I did write on her lore profile that she was not afraid of battles... Wait, didn't I write that she enjoyed it as well? Maybe that's why Luke wrote that weird thing about Rulu. Probably.
As she thought of such carefree things, the knights who were in striking distance swung their swords at her. She replied in kind with her sword. That is, severing them all in half, with one single swing.
"Ghh... Don't falter! It's just a lowly non-human! Use rank 4 spells! [Holy Spear]!"
"[Poision Arrow]!"
"[Pain]!"
"[Negative Armor]!"
"[Holy Lance]!"
They all casted their spells, and they all flew forwards their target. Mala didn't move an inch. She could have easily evaded it with ease, but she instead decided to stay still.
And just as she predicted, their magic, which was about to hit her, fizzled out of existence before it even hit their mark.
"Looks like it works."
"Magic is ineffective?!"
"N-No way..."
"I-Impossible! She's the evil being?!"
The mages however, were not that happy.
"Now then, let's start by painting this boring place with a nice color of crimson red."
Wow, I actually said that. And I thought nothing of it either when I said it too.
Mala shocked herself from how easily she could say those things. But after thinking about the Ojera kingdom, she had another thought. And that was-
Let's just get rid of this kingdom.
Chapter 2
While Mala was painting the Ojera castle hallways with a new coat of crimson red, other intruders was making their way to the large audience chamber.
"My Liege, the enemy is closing in."
"Hmpf. Any news about their ambush? I'm surprised they managed to infiltrate that way undetected. They must have someone with rank 3 stealth skills if they managed to slip by."
"We have heard nothing as of now. We sent a whole platoon of knights, so they must be in a standstill at this very moment."
"Well, it matters not if they manage to drive them back or not. Once the summoning is done, we can easily turn this around."
The king snorted with snear.
What they didn't know, however, was that they did not summon some so-called *hero*. But one of the game developers known as Mala, or 'Evil Being' as they call her. And that very same person who hates this kingdom with passion, is the sole culprit which caused them to think their enemy from [Lyrul] sent a small team to ambush them.
The blockade to the throne room started to creak, and not long after, the entrance got blown up.
"They got magicians! Hold your grounds!"
"[Holy Barrier]!"
A group of adventure looking people stormed in with Lyrul Kingdom knights. When the king noticed this, his mood soured. Not because some of the people who entered was part of the Adventure Guild, but demi-humans.
"Pesky vermin's. How dare you non-humans enter this holy place! Know you place in the dirt which you came! [Holy Lance]!"
The king fumed while shouting a rank 4 spell. But before it could hit something, the dwarf used his tall shield and defended his comrades.
"[Strengthen]! [Better Protection]!"
The dwarf's shield took most of the damage, but it did not negate all the damage he got. He staggered a bit after being hit once by the [Holy Lance] spell.
"Tch."
The king clicked his tongue when he noticed the dwarf was a Great Shielder. He thought he could get rid of the demi-humans with that [Holy Lance], which they thought was the most powerful holy element man could ever produce. When in reality, it was just a medium class spell which could only take out players with one hit if their level was 25 and below.
"Dargo, you good?"
Asked the dwarf's comrade in concern, while keeping an eye on the enemy. She was called Mei, a female feline with the [Berserker] class. She donned 2 heavy iron knuckles, that could easily crush someone's skull with ease if they were unlucky enough to get near her.
"I'm sure he's good. But just on the safe side, I'll cast [Cure]."
Said the elven priest, Skar. He just had a simple class known as [Priest]. He also used priest like clothing doning a staff. He might look weak, but he was as much combat experienced as his other comrades. But he of course spend most of his time at the back, healing, which he was really good at.
"If he didn't have that stupid barrier, I would have nocked an arrow already to his ugly face."
The last comrade of the dwarf's team was the dark elf Faira, that had had Archer class. She was pretty good with her long bow, never once missed her target. She was called a prodigy back in her village, even in her early days when she was a child.
"Thanks, Skar. I feel even better now. Now then, let's get this over with! Let's go!"
As Dargo charged forward with his shield, Mei punched and cracked some skulls with heir bare iron fists on any enemy knight she came across. The archer, Faira, fired plenty of arrows, all hit their mark with ease, while their priest healed their front line which consisted of Dargo and Mei.
The rest of the knights from Lyrul Kingdom also charged forward, to help the mercenaries they hired. With their cooperation, they managed to push back the Ojera kingdom knights.
