Nora is tasked with making blueberries everlasting. But somethings were never meant to be tampered with and Nora soon finds out what everlasting means. (This story is only on my Patreon All-Access tier and contains blueberry inflation, teasing, juicing and other juicy things.)

“Look, I don’t want excuses, Nora. I want results.”  She gulped as her boss slammed his fist on the table.  “Blueberry sales are down across the board, and we need to find a way to pump them back up.  Do you hear me?”

              “Yes, sir.”

              “That wasn’t very enthusiastic.”

She stood up in her chair.  “YES, SIR!”  She saluted him for good measure, mocking him.

“You can cut out the attitude.  Look, we just need to do something that will make us stand out or, at the very least, keep up with all of these everlasting brands that are coming out.”

“But, sir, we can’t make everlasting blueberries unless you want to get into the candy business.”  Nora rubbed her chin.  “Besides, I feel like we would be ripping off a movie or something.”

“Fuck the candy.  I need you to make the blueberries we are already producing in the fields everlasting.”

              “What?”

“You heard me.  Get into those labs and figure it out.  Unless that job you love so much doesn’t mean anything to you.”

She sighed.  “I will get started on this right away, sir.  You can count on me.”

“Good girl.”  He stood up and patted her on the shoulder.  “You will change the world for the better.  Now chop, chop.  I expect great things from you.”

She stood up and snorted.  “I better get a promotion for pulling off the impossible.”
