He puts his hand on Carol’s shoulder. “Just take the test for us. We will discuss that after.” As he turns around, he gives Carol one last glance. “And don’t drink it until I am out of the room. In case you have. . . explosive side effects.” He laughs as he walks away.

             She arches an eyebrow. “Explosive side effects? What in the world does that mean?” But the man was already out the door. “Umm. . .” Carol glances down at the glass of water and the pill next to it. “Hmm.” She tosses the pill onto her tongue. Well, here goes nothing.”

             With a quick gulp of water, Carol swallows the strange pill. She immediately coughs, her body tensing up as the medication sends strange sensations through her body. “Ugh.  What the hell?” She rubs her head as she starts to feel flushed. “I. . . I didn’t expect it to work that fast.” Carol drinks the rest of the water, trying to cool herself off. “Phew.”
