Penny is struggling balancing her mechanical side and her business.  So to keep her auto lot running she decided to open it up twenty-four hours.  She is sure no one would be foolish enough to buy a car at night.  (This story is in early access on my Patreon and will come to DA on Feb 29th.)

Penny arched an eyebrow as she looked at her new sign. “Penny’s Auto Lot. Now open nights. Come and get the car of your dreams any time of day. You won’t regret it.” She sighed and put her hands into her pockets. She still didn’t know how she felt about this, but it was a way to sate the inner mechanical beast inside of her.

It was almost like another person bottled up inside of her. While that wasn’t precisely true, it was intense urges. She had nearly run some people down a few times and zoned out more than once. Her inner car, more often than not, felt like a crazy storm that she couldn’t control more than less state.

She didn’t even know what her mechanical side wanted. The urges seemed so random. Some nights, she just wanted to go out and drive; sometimes, she wanted to run over some jerk that had crossed her. It didn’t make sense to her.
