Tess has been struggling to accept her were car self, but thankfully it seems her more mechanical side hasn't wanted to come out for a bit. Yet there might be a reason for that, and she is about to find out why. (This story is in early access on my Patreon and will come to DA on Jan 16th.)
Tess slammed the door behind her. “Penny is going a bit crazy!”
“Huh?”
“I am sorry. My boss is just. . . she is working me like a. . . well like a machine, that is what.” She slumped down in a chair as Patrick walked up to her. “The woman just won’t go home, and she is making the other ladies and me work so much. I don’t get it. It is crazy.”
“Why did you come home then?”
“I told her that she can’t work us like the robots that she thinks we are.” Tess sighed. “That and I am worried. It has been over a week since my last. . . you know.” She pointed at the car outside. “Transformation.”
“Oh.”
“I don’t want to be caught at work when I turn again.”
She sighed. “The last thing I need is for my crazy boss to see that sometimes I turn into a car at night.” Tess shook her head. “Ughh. That could have happened if you didn’t tell me. Oh god, the embarrassment.” She laughed. “I still can’t believe that happens. I don’t get it, though. How did this start happening to me?”
