Rework of an old story I wasn't happy with. Sammy is helping Rebecca train for a contest. One problem. The contest is only for dogs. But Rebecca has a solution. Cheat and turn Sammy into a dog to win. But some things in nature are not meant to be messed with. (This story is currently in early access on my Patreon and will come to DA on Sept 28th)
A few moments later, Sammy walked up to them, sweat dripping down her face. “Ok. I did your little lap. Now can we have the lazy mutt get up and run?”
Rebecca laughed. “Suzzie isn’t going to be in the contest.”
“What?” Sammy threw her hands into the air. “Then why did we come out here? Why did I have to run these infernal laps.” She pointed her hand at Rebecca. “You do know it is ninety degrees out here?” She pulled at her sweat-soaked shirt. “Look at me. I love this shirt, and I think I might have ruined it.”
“Oh, stop being so dramatic. Sweat comes out.” She sniffed the air. “Though I will say you do need a shower.”
“Not funny.” Sammy ran her hands through her blonde hair. “Look, if you are just wasting my time here, can we go home? I do have other things to do this evening.”
“Actually. . .”
Sammy shook her head. “If you want me to run another infernal lap!”
Rebecca held up her hands. “No, nothing like that. But it is a bit crazy.” She sighed.
“You might not even believe me.” She looked at the ground. “But I still have to try anyways.”
“Will you please stop rambling and get to the point?”
“Ok. Ok.” Rebecca pulled out a strange bottle filled with pulsing green liquid. “I have been working on a strange little concoction that will change someone into a canine for about an hour.”
“What!”
