Tess has had a curse for a few years now that she doesn't really talk about. She has kept it under wraps but tonight she has an issue. Her boss is coming by late on the night of her "issue." Hopefully the little visit can come and go before Tess takes a turn on the fun and wild side for the night. (This story is currently in early access on my Patreon and will come to DA on Sept 19th)
Tess took a step back. “How nice.” She slowly closed the door. “Well, umm.
I am not looking to buy anything. Besides, it is very late. I am not looking to take anything from strangers at this time of night.”
He put his foot in the door. “Look, I am going to sell enough of these damn things so my damn kid can go on the vacation to Hawaii.”
Tess laughed. “You are kidding? Sell chocolate, and they are going to take the kids all the way out there? Why didn’t we get to do that when we were young?” She threw her arms in the air. “Is this a scam?”
“What? Why would you think it’s a scam?” He looked at the ground. “What kind of crappy parent are you to think the school is scamming the kids by putting them into a contest to go all the way to Hawaii? No wonder you kid is behind in this contest.”
Tess rolled her eyes. “What makes you think I even have kids.” Tess scratched at her arm as her limbs began to go numb. Oh no, not now. It’s bad enough this crazy guy is here, but Penny hasn’t even arrived.
“I mean, look at this house. It is a fortress. Only a parent would have a home like this.”
She rubbed her forehead. “You sure assume a lot, mister.” She looked at her fingernails as they turned pink in the dim light. “Oh, crap.”
“What? Is there something I should know about?” He held out his hand. “Like you donating money to the Ivan is selling chocolate fund?”
She clenched her hands into fists, her growing nails digging into her skin. “For the last time, will you stop trying to sell me stuff? Stop trying to sell me wonderful, oh wonderful collocate.” She took a deep breath. “Oh, how wonderful it would be to buy it.” She tugged at her hair. “Ughh.”
Ivan laughed. “See, I knew there was a part of you that would eventually give in.” He rubbed his fingers together. “I am just that good.”
Tess shook her head. “No, it isn’t that.” Sweat beat down her neck. “You don’t understand.” She pushed him. “I need you to leave now.”
“Hey, lady. I am not going anywhere until I get you to buy something.”
“What!”
