Kate had put in a few extra hours into her work at the hospital, allowing her to get the holidays off. She hadn't seen or heard from Jessica in the last two days.

She had finally gotten to her flat some time before midnight. Discarding her things at the door and flopping on her sofa. She reached for her phone from the coffee table.

She immediately phoned Jessica, only for it to ring six times before going to voicemail. Though, she did find one text message from her.
