Coming home from a long day at the office, Ms. Webster kicked her heels off before jumping into bed. She thought nothing of the heels, I mean, why would she? There was really nothing special about them. Although they were a gift from her secretary, Rose, a very special gift.
Never in her whole life had Mary been so humiliated. Sure, there were some instances, like at her first job, but this, this was different. She was both physically and mentally beaten down, all due to her work rival. It all started after her boss, Ms. Webster, rightfully gave her a promotion.
Sure, it was great that she moved up in the company, but it wasn’t that noteworthy, at least she thought so. Having been gunning for that very promotion, well, Rose didn’t take it too lightly. Mary and she had been on less than friendly terms since starting to work at the office, but this was different.
This really set her over the edge. As such, she began plotting a fitting and humiliating revenge. It came as quite a shock to Mary as, one day, while in the office, she found herself shrinking down. Soon, Rose appeared overhead to tell her the bad news.
“Well, well, well, little Miss foot receptacle. You take that form quite nicely, much better than you would’ve as Ms. Webster’s secretary. I know she appointed you to that role and all, but frankly, I deserved it.”
“I mean, given that you’re going to disappear soon, she’s going to need someone to fill the job. Aren’t I the perfect candidate, especially as I have already got a gift in mind to sway her opinion? I recently heard that she had been looking for a new pair of heels.”
With that, Rose bent down and picked up her heeled adversary. Nearby, she had a shoe box containing a single high heel, a heel which would help keep Mary company. Having wrapped her in tissue paper, she lowered her into the box before shutting it.
A few days later, Ms. Webster was given a new pair of heels, with Rose having been given Mary’s position. I mean, the girl up and left one day, and she was the perfect fit for her replacement. Mary was also a perfect fit, then again, the spell she used ensured it.
Although not worn regularly, Mary had gotten quite familiar with her boss’s foot. Day in and day out, she’d be worn to her former workplace. Sometimes, when Ms. Webster needed Rose to do something, Mary caught a glimpse of her rival, the very one who condemned her to this humiliating fate.
