“So… you really wanted to be under me,” Melanie nervously said. “Well, it is a bit surprising to see that you actually did it. I never knew you could do something like this, like…this is all new to me. Also, did you really have to include your name on your size tag?”

“You probably did that to make sure I knew exactly who I was wearing. I would thank you, I wouldn't want to lose you in all my other shoes, but you're the only flats like this that I own. So…thanks for being different I guess.”

“I will say, from what I can feel of your insoles, you seem to be quite comfortable. I mean, why wouldn't you be? If you could become a pair of shoes I would expect no less from you to make yourself the most comfortable pair possible.”

“Though, it is going to take some time getting used to you. I had never worn anyone else before, so…sorry if I seem unfamiliar in how I treat you. I almost wish I hadn’t figured out what you had become, otherwise I might have worn you normally.”

“I’m still undecided if I'm going to wear you today. I did have today’s outfit all picked out, and you’re not a part of it, I only mistakenly grabbed you but, I wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to try you out, so…ummm…it won’t hurt to try you on, who would even focus on my feet today?”

“Well you of course, but I’m not counting my footwear. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling about this. You’re probably really excited about this, aren’t you Amanda? You probably want nothing more for me to shut up and put you on.”

“I would, but…honestly…it’s weird…I’ve gotten this strange urge to delay putting you on for as long as possible. I am going to wear you today, but not yet. Well…y’know what, why don’t I put you on now? It’s the perfect time to see how you fit after all.”

“I knew it, you are extremely comfortable. It almost feels as if I’m walking on clouds, but I know I’m walking on you, Amanda. Still, you make a damn good pair of flats, better than any other pair I know. But I figured as much, knowing how much you love my feet. So…I guess…I’ll talk to you later, I don’t want people to think I’m crazy for talking to you.”
