“Uh-huh…yep…I’m on it, sir.” The stewardess told the pilot. It was close to landing so it was time to go through one last round of the travelers, seeing if they needed anything. Standing up, she walked over to her cart, grabbed it, and went to make her round.
As she did so she noticed something about her heels, for some reason, they were surprisingly comfortable. Normally this pair was pretty comfy, perfect for long flights like this, but for whatever reason they were extremely comfortable. There was probably a simple explanation for it, but she’d think about that later, she had a job to do.
She’d probably never guess that it was because her shoes were currently a witch, but truth can be stranger than what one thinks. Having always been stingy with money this was only the next perceivable way for Callie to save some. Sure, she was a witch but she had never learned about old magic, meaning she couldn’t ride around on brooms and the like.
Being a modern witch meant she had to obey the modern rules, forcing her to mingle with non-mages, partially when it came to travel. She detested flying, especially when there would be much simpler ways of getting to her location, though there was nothing she could do about it, at least in terms of getting there.
There was something she could do about the cost of it though. It would be a bit tricky to pull off but she was certain she could do it. If it was too expensive to come as a human, why couldn’t she come aboard as an object? With a flight coming up she had the perfect opportunity to test this theory out.
It was decently hard sneaking past security and towards her plane, having to use a bunch of spells to make it happen but, it was done. Now she just had to find what she’d transform into. She had decided on becoming clothes, just to make the five-hour flight a little bit more bearable, but what would she become? Waiting near the entrance she spotted a stewardess walking aboard, so in one swift move, Callie used a spell to become one of her articles of clothing.
She chose her heels, simply because that was the clearest bit of her she could see. With that out of the way, all she needed to do was sit back and enjoy not spending money. Having been shoes before, she had become decently accustomed to all the varying tastes, feelings, and smells that were to be expected. Thankfully though, the stewardess had decided to wear hose for the day, somewhat masking the taste and smell of her feet.
After minute after minute of being walked in, she entered a sort of trance, not really noticing the plane take off or the hours passed. She was awoken from it when she heard the announcement that the plane was so to land. Getting her bearings back she realized something, how was she going to transform back into normal?
Somehow she had to say a reversal spell and with no mouth, she couldn’t. She had told no other witch what flight she was going to be on, let alone what stewardess she was to be worn by. So…she was essentially stuck like this! The plane landed and the stewardess helped unboard the passengers, as she did so Callie tried in vain to say the reversal spell.
It was no use though, much to hopefulness she was nothing but a pair of heels. A pair of heels for a stewardess. Now for the rest of her life, she was just a foot receptacle that would be worn every day, until she was thrown out or lost. As the stewardess exited the plane, she reasoned that her heels with extremely comfortable because she hadn’t worn them in a while, no other reason.
