Ever since she moved out to college, Sheila had been stuck like this. Without any care in the world, she is treaded over day after day, with no regard if she likes being like this or not. Gallons of foot sweat had seeped into her being at this point. Gallons upon gallons which left a very definite impact on her, even when she wasn’t worn or spent days in the shoe closet she could still taste it.
Not just the foot sweat but the grime, dirt, funk, or just anything that happened to get imprinted upon her foam-tongue insole. Anything on it she could taste, almost to a heightened degree. She could not only taste in this form but she could still smell, especially inside herself. A mix of foot funk, dried sweat, and just general filth pervaded what you could barely call her nostrils.
An ever-apparent funk which, no matter how much foot powder was used, could never go away. A smell which she had been forced to smell for a semester and a half now. Hell, she couldn’t even complain about it to anyone. She was essentially mute, the only sound that would ever emanate from her would be when she absorbed too much sweat into herself and the foot within her pressed it out of her, emanating a sloppy squelch.
God, how she was hating this. Every day now would take forever, each step took longer. Sheila didn’t even have anything to look forward to in this form. What was there to look forward to, another day spent sucking up her owner’s foot sweat? Day after day she’d spend at her feet with ever as much as an acknowledgment, a simple look, a simple nod, anything. It seemed that all she was now was a shoe.
A basic slip-on shoe. Nothing to differentiate it from any other, aside from the woman trapped as it. If she had known that this was what Mallory “bringing her to college” would do, she’d never have come along. Only a few months back the two had been friends, now they were just clothes and owner. Their relationship had been broken down this much, even since the first day. After she transformed Sheila she stopped seeing her as human and more as her replacement shoe.
That was the mundane reason this even happened to her. Mallory had lost one of the shoes from her favorite pair and was needing a replacement. So, as all good friends do, she transformed her best friend into a replacement, regardless of her say in the matter. She didn’t even tell her when she was going to transform her back, hell, if she even was going to. With how she’s treating her it’s reasonable to assume that Sheila is going to be her shoe for a while to come. Who’d thought that a visit to her college would land her a spot in her shoe closet?
