Today had been a good day with her clients. It seemed like just about everyone who came in, with her help, managed to get over/talk about whatever problem(s) they had faced. She had a job as a therapist, and days like this were a rarity for Diana. Still, though, she only had two problem clients today. They were a couple, and very rarely did she do couple’s therapy, both in their mid-twenties.
Their names were Heidi and Judy, they had been a couple for almost five years now. They’d been through just about every sort of argument that a couple could go through and then some, still though they loved each other dearly. They had come to Diana because she had heard how great of a therapist she was, especially with solving problems.
The session started off great but halfway through a little side comment from Heidi caused the couple to start a fight. Quickly stopping it, Diana realized that she had to take drastic measures with the two. Sure, it was obvious that they loved each other but their togetherness seemed to have been completely evaporated.
Pulling out her phone she opened up the TF app. “I know that by doing this I’ll be breaking normal therapist protocol but I can’t think of any other way to help you two out,” she told the couple. Before they had the chance to ask her what she meant Dinan used the app to transform Heidi and Judy into an identical pair of black socks.
She grabbed them off the floor and slipped them onto her feet. Scrunching her toes in them, she told the couple of their current situation, “From now up until I think you’ve sufficiently bonded you’ll be my socks. I know it may seem a bit offputting to have you two bond at my feet but I want to make sure that even in the toughest scenario you two will be able to grow close again. Before you think to ask, yes, this has been proven to work. I had a couple last week just finish their stay at my feet. So, while I go on with my day here you two try to get comfortable and closer while you suck up my foot sweat. Oh and sorry about the smell of my shoes, but you’ll get used to it soon enough.” With that she left the couple to it and didn't; give them a second thought.
‘Rember to transform Heidi and Judy back into human in a month.’ Diana typed into her notes for her clients. All in all, today had been a good day, she helped a few clients and got a new pair of socks, temporarily though. Looking over her laptop and at her sock-covered feet she intentionally scrunched her toes in and rubbed the couple together, hoping that they started to grow closer.
