This is a story I wrote for a contest at <a class="external" href="https://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://consciousobject.livejournal.com/">[link]</a> . The theme of the contest was "Puppet." It's a far more literal take on the theme than I had originally planned, but well, the muse strikes in weird ways sometimes.<br /><br />I definitely want to revisit the Marffers' Fair in the future... there are other brands of strangeness there besides what Petra and Mari encountered.
