Well then, let's go all the way. The most fantasy fantasy one might think of when someone mentions "fantasy". Let's write a D&D story.

For those of you who have never played D&D:

It shouldn't matter. Everything you don't know I doubt you need to know for the story. The way Ring Gates work is demonstrated well enough (I hope ) and Boots of Levitation should be self-explanatory.

Oh, yeah, and Pelor is god of the sun, light, strength, and healing. A natural fit for paladins.

For those of you who have played D&D, and found some things suspicious:

"How is Leshanna that strong? At least, when she's naked?"  It's true that even for high level adventurers, such characteristics tend to be only mildly superhuman. Their biggest magical enhancements are in their clothes. Personally, this struck me as something of a bad joke where sex is concerned. Get naked and your endurance and charisma are noticeably diminished. So in this world, all such magical enhancements become an intrinsic part of the person. Even when it's inconvenient...

"Putting Ring Gates on a person like that sounds really awkward. They're 14 or 18 inches in diameter, depending on the edition." Yeah, and they also say a medium creature can't fit through them, and a small one only with a little difficulty, and that's bullshit. So I reinterpreted them to about 9 inches.
