A mysterious and powerful villainess, Izanami Ishikawa is actually from a highly advanced magical world, where magic and technology are fused seamlessly. So advanced, that they have discovered a way to travel between dimensions. Having stolen a prototype for her own purposes, Izanami fled her own world and has since travelled the multiverse, draining magic from world after world in pursuit of a mysterious goal. 

Unfortunately, this can be rather difficult. For every world that’s still so unadvanced, or so technologically focused that she can take the magic without an issue, there is another that has figured out magic of it’s own and takes exception to her use. Thankfully, she’s a powerful mage in her own right, and has a particular talent for both conjuration and alteration magic; she can easily create minions, whether direct magical constructs or brainwashing and transforming bystanders. The latter is preferred, definitely because it’s easier and not because she finds it incredibly enjoyable. She has a flare for the dramatic at times, and is more than a little cynical and dominating, though she has some difficulty reasserting herself if she does lose control of the situation. 

Her plans have been recently derailed by a somewhat irritating issue. She was setting up her ritual in the most magically dense location she could find on the latest world she’d visited. Supposedly, this one was highly technologically focused, which is why she was very surprised to detect intense magical power approaching. She proceeded with the ritual all the same, confident that anyone that powerful would be sensible enough not to interrupt it with all the consequences that would have. Unfortunately, the person who’d come to stop Izanami was not sensible, they were Hikari Himura, who solved the problem with excessive firepower instead of finesse. The backlash transmuted her original body to magic, and her soul fled to the nearest potential body - namely, Hikari’s.

Usually, she’d have pushed the original soul out or at least made it quiet down. But Hikari’s soul was irrepressible. Long story short, she’s hitchhiking in the magical girl’s body. They alternate control frequently, so it’s a bit hard to keep up her plans, and Hikari tends to make it hard to do so… especially when she keeps being transformed and mind controlled…
