“You couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, could you?” Izanami grumbled.
“Why would I be shooting at a barn with magic blasts? Is it a magic evil barn?” Hikari asked, casually ducking aside the return blast.
“Why… what?” Izanami stammered, but shook her head (mentally at least) and moved on. “...And your blasts have so much wasted energy, and you’re not even using it for dramatic effect.”
“If I make them explode then the bad guy can’t dodge well right?” She was going to say more, but she was interrupted by a blast into the gut. Which she shrugged off, of course.
“Would you at least pay some attention instead of talking to yourself!?” the villainess who had sent the bolt of magic into her shouted.
Thunder cracked and lightning flashed, not as natural phenomena but as expressions of power. The two combatants floated in the air, Hikari on wings of light and her opponent on a broomstick made of darkness. As far as pitched battles of magical powers went, it was visually stunning. Hikari was honestly a bit bored. When she and villains went toe to toe, in a straightforward battle of power like this, there was rarely any actual concern - she had enough magical power that she could just float there in the air without even putting real effort into dodging, and she’d be fine.
The villain of the week was a witchy type, a tall, pale skinned, and sexy lady clad completely in form-fitting black robes and stockings, with the traditional pointy hat and everything. She’d been going around turning people into catgirl familiars and broomsticks and making them drink monsterfication potions before Hikari and Natsuki had arrived on the scene. Natsuki had lured the minions and monsters away, leaving Hikari to deal with the witch.
“Sorry, sorry!” Hikari said cheerfully, sending off another blast of magic. Said witchy villainess had her outfit in tatters from the battle, while Hikari was mostly in good shape. The power difference was, to be blunt, kinda funny if Hikari had been the sort to laugh at it. “You’re putting up a good fight, really!”
“I don’t need your pity! I need you to shut up and get blasted!” Another bolt of lightning, parried more by accident than anything.
“Do you even realize how powerful you are?” Izanami said with a sigh, “It’s like a tiger fighting a particularly annoying dog.”
“She’s doing her best, it’s not her fault. Or maybe it is, I dunno.” Hikari shrugged, and sent out another haphazard blast of magical power. Unlike previous blasts, though, the witch blundered directly into this one.
“She’s no slouch.” Izanami conceded. “At least, when she’s not compared to us.”
The witch was blown backwards into the wall of the nearest building. The wall cracked, and the witch dropped to earth. She wasn’t moving.
Izanami rolled her eyes. Could you be more obvious? “Oh come on, she can’t honestly think we’ll-”
Hikari flew down at the best speed she could manage to the fallen witch. “Are you ok!?” she shouted as she landed. The witch was silent on the ground.
Izanami groaned. “You can’t possibly believe she’s actually hurt. She had a shield up this entire time only to turn it off for that?”
Hikari wasn’t listening, more worried about the potential injuries the villainess had suffered. Sure she was blasting her with magic, but she hadn’t gotten up and that had been a hard fall and she wasn’t trying to actually cause any serious injuries, just either blast whatever evil was holding her out or else maybe just KO her so she could be taken into custody. She was sure there had been a sickening crunch…
As she made it beside her, she couldn’t see any injuries, but that just made her sure they were internal and not external. S-Should she call the ambulance? Start mouth to mouth?
“Hikari, relax, she’s not even unconscious,” Izanami started.
“How do you know!?”
Hikari was gently pulling her up so she could see her face and check for breathing and maybe pulse - was that the wrong order? - when the woman’s eyes fluttered open. They were an astonishing purple… and glowing… and so pretty… pretty… pretty…
The witch laughed as Hikari’s jaw slackened, her hypnotic gaze doing it’s work. “Ha! Heroes are so predictable. Play injured doe and they’ll rush to help!”
“Can’t help but agree…” Izanami muttered with a groan. It had been such an obvious ploy and Hikari had gone for it anyway. “Of all the heroes who could have beaten me and gotten me stuck in their bodies, it had to be the most naive girl I’ve ever met…”
Hikari giggled. “Pretty colors…” she muttered, drooling a little. She knew something was off. She should be doing something, right? But… what was she supposed to be doing? It was hard to think about anything but the witch’s pretty eyes… eyes that someone could get lost in… and Hikari did get lost in them...
The witch stood, maintaining eye contact with the hypnotized heroine and laughing as she began to gather her magic together. “You’re a strong one, girl,” she said with a cackle, “But you’re all power and no skill. I think what you need is a teacher, hmm?”
Izanami sighed, seeing where this was going. Hikari nodded, her expression dazed and blank. The pretty pretty spirals...
“Well, I’ll be magnanimous. You can be one of my lovely apprentices, and I can teach you to put your power to proper use~ What do you say~?”
Hikari’s response was a distinctly empty-headed chuckle. Given her current state it was about as near as she could get to agreement.
The witch released her magic right into Hikari. Her mind had been turned to a mush by the hypnotic eyes and the new spell would mold it like clay. The spirals filled Hikari’s whole vision, while suggestive white noise remade her identity. She was such a silly girl, she didn’t know how to use her power right. Mistress would teach her. Magic wasn’t for heroism. It was for domination and control. It was for power. Hikari didn’t need to think or be independent. She just needed to obey her lovely and powerful Mistress. “Mmmistress~” she moaned softly as the magic pumped into her and began to transform her clothing.
It was far too modern, for one thing - not appropriate for a witch or her apprentice. And way, way too white - black was the color for a witch, and some very dark greys. So she started to change that, into some nice and tight form-fitting robes, and sexy boots, and…
While Hikari’s body and mind were taken over, Izanami noticed something. There was a lot more magical power available to her. The witch, in fairness with no way of knowing, was making a big mistake. She was giving Izanami, whose control of Hikari’s body was mainly limited by how much magical energy she could spend, an extra source of power to draw from. An idea flitted across her mind. She smiled.
The witch must have been doing a better job than she had thought. Her new apprentice was getting even witchier than she’d been trying to make her! Her black hair, with a white streak, seemed to be inverting itself - the white streak turned black while the rest of her hair turned white, which was a very nice aesthetic for a witch she thought. Her figure seemed to mature a bit as well, her bust and bottom growing out a bit, straining her new skin-tight witch outfit - which promptly expanded to better fit her.
She ended the spell, grinning. “Arise, apprentice~” she said, “We have much to do!”
She was expecting a cheery “Yes mistress!” or something on those lines. Indeed, Hikari did say that, and tried to stand. Unfortunately for both the witch and her apprentice, Hikari wasn’t the one in the driver’s seat anymore.
“Much to do indeed~” Izanami said with a laugh, standing up. The witch could tell something was wrong, but not what - maybe she’d gone overboard on the mental stuff? “But none of this ‘apprentice’ business…”
“Hey, Izanami, you should be nicer to Mistress! She’s gonna teach me about magic! Maybe you could learn some things too!” Hikari pouted, unable to do anything but watch. Even ejected from control of her body, the hypnosis was strong.
The witch frowned. Was she somehow not under full control? That wouldn’t do. She started up the hypnosis magic again- and this time, just got a massive headache for her trouble. “Such a simple spell won’t work on me, witch. You’re good enough at magic, but you’re far too confident for your own good. I think I’ve got a much better use for you.
The witch had enough time to set herself upright before she felt a crushing weight sending her to her knees. It felt like the entire world was weighing her down. Somehow, it wasn’t painful as she felt herself crushed into a smaller and smaller space by the weight. Her clothes were hardening, toughening, while she felt her body itself growing thinner and weaker. She couldn’t see what was happening - the words writing themselves onto her skin, how her clothes ripped open on one side, how her limbs melded together. She was being squeezed into ever smaller space, and at this point wasn’t even recognizably human.
It was hard to tell when it was done, from her perspective at least. From Izanami’s, it was clear when her new spellbook stopped moving - a black leather-bound tome embossed with the face of the witch. She picked up the former woman’s hat and affixed it to her head, before picking up the spellbook. She could hear the woman’s thoughts, frantic and confused. Not much longer.
“What did you do to me!?” she demanded as she realized she’d been lifted from the ground.
“I’ve turned you into something useful. I don’t need someone like you around. I considered an apprentice or a familiar, but I have more fun ideas in mind for those. I’ll just be using you as a magical battery so I don’t have to waste my own.”
“Who says I’ll help… you…” her thoughts were slowing, confused. She wouldn’t help… right? But… why wouldn’t she help her… it’s owner? The spellbook wondered why it had been so mad earlier. It was just being used for its purpose. “...Of course, Owner.” It said after a while, all resistance gone. “Please, use this book however you like.”
Hikari gasped in shock. “You defeated Mistress like it was nothing! You’re even more powerful than she was… Can I be your apprentice instead?”
“...I’m using your body.”
“An apprentice does whatever Mistress wants, even if it’s lending her body.” Hikari said proudly. “Now when do I learn how to turn people into tomes of eldritch lore and power, Mistress?”
...Admittedly, it felt real nice for Hikari to be calling her Mistress. “...Fine then. Pay attention. Natsuki should be around here somewhere, I’m sure she’s up for being an object lesson in creating minions.”
---------------------
Akemi Foster was annoyed. Another villain that had popped up nearer to Hikari’s position than hers. How would she get the better of her rival if she always beat up the bad guys before Akemi got there? It was irritating beyond belief.
Before Hikari had entered the scene, Akemi had thought she was the single most powerful magical girl in the city. In the official rankings, she still was, but she’d long since stopped believing that. She’d met Hikari about a year and a half before, when Akemi had bitten off more than she could chew against a villain that the newer magical girl had promptly beaten with ease. Beginner’s luck, Akemi had softened her up, right?
And then she’d beaten the next, and the next… and even Akemi’s admittedly overdeveloped ego couldn’t convince her she was the most powerful anymore. Hikari was too gosh darned nice to actively dislike, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t be a rival! She was pretty sure that Hikari realized that - since Akemi had declared the new constantly-reappearing villainess Izanami her nemesis, Hikari hadn’t shown up to fight her once, which she honestly appreciated.
When she arrived on the scene, she heard a shout - which sounded like the right mix of pleasure and surprise for a victim in the midst of being turned into a minion. She ran towards the sound, turning a corner just in time to see the transformation - and recognize the culprit and victim.
The culprit was dressed like a stereotypical witch, but was clearly her nemesis Izanami! And the victim - wasn’t that Hikari’s friend Natsuki? The girl was writhing on the ground, her face a mask of pleasure as she moaned for her mistress. Her body shifted and changed before Akemi’s very eyes - her ears crawling up her head and turning triangular and pointed, while a tail burst through her pants. Her long brown hair was turning black and wild, and Akemi had every reason to believe that the girl’s eyes were turning catlike as well. Fur sprouted on her hands as they grew bigger into exaggerated cat paws, and the same happened to her feet. With a moaning “mrow~”, Natsuki’s transformation into a catgirl finished.
For a few moments, she lay still, but then abruptly leapt to her feet, nuzzling against Izanami. “Mmmmreowstress~” she moaned.
“Cut the accent.” Izanami snapped.
“Oh, fine,” the newly minted catgirl said, pouting, “Mistress~”
Akemi snapped herself out of her reverie - it was her nemesis, she couldn’t be caught gawking! She cleared her throat and stepped out onto the street. “I should have known it was you who was behind this, Izanami! Once again you treat Matsushita city like your plaything, but I, Akemi Foster, am here to stop-”
“I’m sorry, do I know you?” Izanami interrupted.
“-you wait what are you talking about!?”
Izanami paused, looking at nothing for a second. “Oh? One of... Ah, I see.” she nodded, then looked at Akemi. “One of Hikari’s friends, are you? Well, do you want to take a knee now or am I going to force you to it?”
Akemi blinked. Natsuki coughed. “She doesn’t like being compared to Hikari, Mistress,” she explained.
“I am Akemi Foster the best magical girl in this city and I am not defined by my relationship to that dumbass-” At some point, Akemi had launched herself at Izanami at full tilt. Her primary means of attacks was fisticuffs, and that meant getting close.
“Hm, you look like you’ll need some lessons…” the villainous witch tutted as the magical girl approached.
She dodged the clumsy charge, and Akemi instantly knew that she’d made a mistake. She’d allowed herself to get riled up, and that was going to cost her if she didn’t turn and fight right then. She canceled her momentum with a blast of magic forward, spinning on her heel and facing Izanami just in time for Natsuki to crash into her.
The two went sprawling as Natsuki’s chase suddenly ended, and the two rolled until the catgirl ended up on top. “Nya~ Got her mistress!” she said, pressing close to the magical girl and holding tight.
“L-Let go, you fool!” Akemi shouted, blushing as Natsuki’s bust mashed against hers, “I must do battle with my nemesis, there’s no place for minions to be involved!”
Izanami rolled her eyes as she approached, opening her spellbook and thumbing through the pages. Knowing her, it was a formality and not something she actually had to do - she was just doing it to show how unconcerned and unthreatened she was by Akemi. “Girl, if we’ve met before - I frankly don’t remember you - then you know that I don’t care about fighting fair, I care about winning. While I could slap you away like a pesky fly anyways, I see no reason to expend the effort when my familiar here can just hold you down for me.”
Akemi struggled - she was stronger than Natsuki by far, she could shove her off with ease. But she was limited by not wanting to actually hurt her. She managed to get to her feet, still struggling to get Natsuki to let go, when Izanami was right up next to her. “You need to learn a thing or two before you can put up a real fight~” she said, running a finger glowing with purple energy across her lips, “I think I can help with that~”
Natsuki quickly moved behind Akemi, holding her arms back - and clearing the way for Izanami to lean in with a magic-assisted kiss.
The effect was immediate. Akemi was prepared for the mental assault (more so than Hikari had been at least) but only from Izanami - and even then, there was only so much she could do against the direct and physical application of magic. She tried to avoid thinking of it, but still some thoughts of submission were forced into her mind - accompanied by jolts of pleasure, of course, a promise of how it would feel to bend the knee.
She was prepared for all that. What she wasn’t prepared for was the second voice. “Ehehehe! Akeeeemi, you should submit to Mistress~ Be her apprentice, let her teach you all about how to use your powers~” the voice said, “Let her make you feel good~ We’re so dumb, there’s so much to learn from her~”
Akemi recognized that voice - Hikari? What was she doing in her head? Had Izanami turned her into her dress or something? Unfortunately for her, the brief time she spent focusing on that voice had distracted her. Her legs went weak as her body was wracked with pleasure, and her mind was assaulted with thoughts of submission. It would feel so nice to bend over, to let Izanami have her way with her. She was a dumb, silly girl, all boobs no brain, she needed Izanami to teach her to be a good witch… No! No she wasn’t, she could resist this! She was Akemi Foster, the greatest magical girl of her generation!
Izanami made a pleased noise into Akemi’s mouth. She liked it when they thought they could resist. But Akemi couldn’t focus on two fronts at once. When she let Hikari distract her, Izanami’s kiss seeped it’s way into her mind. When she tried to ignore the kiss, Hikari’s praises wormed into her thoughts. Slowly, agonizingly, Akemi would be brought to heel - she’d accept her place as an apprentice.
At least, if Izanami didn’t start trying. She pulled Akemi closer, the girl only managing a brief “Mmmhp!” before the witch’s tongue shot into her mouth, and her fingers dropped to her crotch. Izanami was a damn good kisser, and Akemi’s resistance was blown away by the combination of pleasure, the magical kiss, and Hikari’s constant praise.
“M-Mistress…” Akemi thought.
“Yes! Yes! She’s our Mistress!” Hikari encouraged the magical girl. Her friend was so close, she could submit just like she and Natsuki had and they’d feel good together.
“Apprentice… need to learn…” the thought came unbidden, but Akemi couldn’t force it out. She was so dumb. She had no idea what she was doing with magic. Izanami did though. Mistress did.
“Mmmhm!” Hikari said, and Akemi could see her nodding. The mental image of her had her in a cute witch outfit, eyes sparkling with delight and softly spiraling. Deeply mind controlled, of course - why wouldn’t she be at this point? “You don’t need to think, Mistress does that for us! All we need to do is do whatever she tells us and everything will be great!” she said cheerfully. That was right. Of course Hikari was mind controlled. If Mistress wanted her to be, then it was for her own good. Akemi saw the spiral now. The pretty colors in her mind.
“Mistress~” she moaned, “I’m yours~ I’m yours~” She was just an apprentice, and Izanami was her beloved Mistress.
Izanami broke the kiss, leaving Akemi in a horny daze. She wasn’t the same girl that Izanami had first locked lips with, at least not visually. Her foreigner’s blonde hair was streaked with thunderbolts of black, down to her hips. Her magical girl outfit, styled after a medieval knight, had been discarded and replaced with a sexy black dress that barely covered her panties and showed plenty of cleavage from her ample bosom. Her eyes were purple, a visible pink spiral overlaying them. A meer magical girl no more - Akemi Foster had become a witch’s apprentice. “Akemi~” Izanami said softly.
The newly minted apprentice snapped back to reality. “Ahhhh, Mistress! I’m sorry, I was just imagining what you might do to me tonight!”
“If you don’t pay attention, you’ll soon be a familiar instead of an apprentice.” Izanami said severely, slipping into the role as easily as another set of clothes. “A crow, perhaps, so Natsuki can chase you around.”
“I-I’m sorry Mistress! What do you need me to do?”
“No, give me orders first!” Natsuki said with a giggle, and Akemi turned to argue with her.
“Mmhmm~!” Hikari hummed cheerfully, seeing her friends desire to serve. She wished she could be out there with Mistress, but lending her her body was already such an honor!
What did Izanami want them to do, hm? Her plans were derailed as long as she kept swapping with Hikari… she had to find a way to get them to split. She had a bit more time than usual, using the witch turned grimoire as a battery of magical power. So she could have fun…
“Come. I think the Magical Girl’s Association could use some redecorating~” And maybe they had enough magical knowledge stored there for her to start looking…
