“This is the place, right?” Reina asked, adjusting the strap of her dress a bit. “It looks… kinda like a dump, to be honest.”
“I’m… pretty sure!” Momo said, nodding to herself. “Magic lairs can be a lot bigger on the inside than the outside.”
The pair of magical girls were standing in a back alley wearing fancy dresses that wouldn’t be out of place in high society. There was a shop there, with a dead neon sign advertising it as a Chinese restaurant and a plate on the door reading “CLOSED FOR CLEANING”. It wasn’t exactly the first place one would think of when they were looking for an illegal magical casino.
“Well yeah, but they want to attract new patrons right? Is this the best way to do that?” Reina said, peering through the cloudy window.
“If you could find it just by looking it wouldn’t last very long, would it?” Momo countered. “Come on, anyone who finds it heard it from a friend of a friend. Let’s head on in.” She walked up to the door, and rapped a knuckle on it thrice, then paused, then four times. The signal that they’d heard from a whistleblower.
For a few seconds, there was no sign that they’d been heard. Then there was a thump-thumping of footsteps through the door, and the click-click-clack of about half a dozen locks being undone. The door swung inwards, without a single soul in sight. After looking at each other for a second, the pair of magical girls stepped in.
As they passed the threshold, the world shifted. The sounds of the street outside faded into a whispered echo while a new wave of noise accosted them, the sound of enthusiastic conversation, victorious shouts and despairing cries. Gold and red light washed over the room they’d entered, an entrance hall that wouldn’t look out of place in a five star hotel and casino. There were a pair in suits, one male and one female - both of whom looked like body builders.
“Arms up,” the handsome young woman said.
“Weapon search.” the similar looking young man continued.
Reina and Momo raised their arms as requested; they didn’t have any weapons, at least none that were made of physical materials instead of magic that could be summoned and dismissed at will. The pat down was rather thorough, but the pair so dispassionate that neither girl could raise an objection.
The bouncers withdrew, apparently satisfied. “Please enjoy your night, ladies.” The woman said.
“Keep in mind that magic use is strictly prohibited,” the man added, “If this provision is violated, consequences will be severe and swift.”
Reina and Momo looked at each other and swallowed, before nodding. “Understood.”
The bouncers dispersed and waved them into the main hall.
When Momo said magical locations could be larger on the inside than the out, she was quite serious. But even she hadn’t expected what they walked into. It was like someone had taken a big name casino and brought it’s gambling halls to this back alley shop in their entirety. The vaulted ceiling was three or four stories over their head, and the place was all white marble, glittering gold, and sensual reds. Dozens of well dressed men and women occupied the gambling floor, betting for pleasure and profit in equal measure as sexy women in bunny suits roamed among them, playing waitress and encouraging the guests to gamble more and more.
“Wow…” Reina said. She’d taken the best dress she had, but now she felt kinda out of place…
“Wow indeed…” Momo said. She stared for a few moments, but then shook her head. “We’re here for a reason, Reina! We’ve gotta get a good look around, prove what’s going on here and figure out who’s the boss.” This was whispered, barely loud enough for even Reina to hear over the din; they had to be careful.
The casino was guilty of more than unlicensed gambling; that would have been a police job, not a magical girl job. No, what was happening in this magical casino was a rather different issue: it was magic gambling, people betting physical and mental attributes on their victories. Some popular bets were intelligence, beauty, athleticism. There could be more sinister ones, like self control and independence. That was why the place had to be shut down by magical girls: It used the magic of Corrupt Beings in an uncontrollable setting.
Reina nodded. “So the way we do that…”
“We walk around, chat up the staff, maybe some of the long-time patrons-” Momo started, but Reina had already sidled up to the nearest table. “What are you doing!?”
“We’ve got a stipend to cozy up, so I’m using it! They’re more likely to accept us if we play!” Reina said cheerfully as she made it to the poker table and slid into the comfy stool. “Deal me in, would you?”
For a while, the gambling went well. Reina had an excellent poker face, and could bluff with the best of them. She also had a good head for odds, and made sure that she didn’t lose much on bad gambles or poor draws. They’d actually ended up with more money than they came in on, when one of the men at the table - who had been losing harshly up to this point - threw down a different color of chip. The money-based chips were different sizes and yellow and gold, but this set was blue. “How about,” the man said in a slightly shaky voice, “we up the ante, get to why we’re really here?”
Reina, keeping her face carefully blank, examined the new chip - it had an outline of a brain on it. Betting intelligence? Well, this man was out of money chips. He must have been desperate to get some brains and recoup his investment. “Hm. Interesting. I’ve got to admit, I’m new here - how does this work compared to money bets?”
The dealer, a handsome woman in a dashing suit, cleared her throat. “Ask, and I or any other dealer will create chips representing physical or mental attributes for you. For intelligence, a small chip will be 5 IQ points, and a large will be 10. You may use an IQ chip in place of it’s point value in large money chips, but may not directly exchange for them, only use them in bets.”
Reina nodded. She’d tested at about 150 IQ last she remembered… “Very well then. I’ll take some IQ chips then, and match the bet.” She took the new chips and placed a small one into the pot, then turned to the others. They went in with large amounts of money chips instead.
Momo tugged on Reina’s shoulder. “What are you doing now?” she hissed.
“Getting evidence!” Reina retorted, “I have a great hand, and if I end up with a genius level IQ then we’ve got walking proof!” she said, matching the man’s raise.
“We also get proof if you end up stupid! We have the money, why’d you do that?” Momo said, but by then it had circled to another round of raises.
Reina and the man who had started the IQ bet raised and raised, until the others had folded, and there was sixty IQ and a ton of cash on the line.
“Are you sure you don’t want to bet your loyalty? When you lose this hand you’re going to need the help.” the man said with a smirk.
“I’m calling your bluff, friend.” Reina countered. “I only wish you didn’t try to take it as far as you did, how will you win it back?”
Then, the hands went down. Reina revealed a straight flush, one of the highest hands you could get. Momo sighed in relief - her confidence had been well founded, it seemed. Once she was smart, they’d leave and-
And the man put down a royal straight flush, and took the pot. Reina reeled like she’d been punched as she felt the intelligence drain out of her head; ideas and concepts she once grasped instinctively were magic to her, and she already felt a little trouble focusing. It was good she had been as smart as she was already, or she’d be terminally stupid now instead of below average. But unfortunately, her book smart intellect hadn’t been matched with nearly as much wisdom or gambling experience, and she’d been hurt for it.
“Reina!” Momo cried, going to her side and trying to rouse her.
“I-I’m ok, Momo…” She said, blinking and taking some stock. “That… was a good draw. Well played, sir.” she said… though, now she was shaking a little - she was pissed, and doing her best to hide that.
The man, for his part, smirked. “God, my thoughts are so clear now… I got my own intelligence bet, and then sixty of yours, huh? How much is left in that pretty little head, I wonder? Are you a drooling imbecile now, simply playing at respectable intellect? If you wish, I could probably give you some back, in exchange for certain favors…”
Reina wouldn’t normally have risen to the bait, but now she was mad. There was a haze in her head that wouldn’t let her stop. “You talk now, bet you’ll sound so smart when the magical girls catch you for illegal magic gambling…” she muttered.
“We’ll be going!” Momo said loudly, picking up Reina and dragging her from the table. The newly intelligent man had already walked away from the table, but the dealer was still present. And very perceptive, listening carefully as the girls left, before putting in a call to the house administration.
They’d been caught.
There was some furious debate between the magical girls after that; Momo wanted to leave immediately while Reina still had some intelligence; they could get it back once they busted the place! But Reina was far, far too prideful to leave after such a showing; she’d want some clearer evidence than just being a bit on the slow side, was her explanation, but the real reason was she didn’t want to leave on a loss. She wasn’t going anywhere, and Momo wasn’t about to leave her there.
So they kept going, although they stuck to smaller bets. Momo was the one in charge now, since Reina’s head now felt foggy. They did win some minor amounts of money, but they couldn’t get anyone to bet intelligence for Reina to get back, or any other clear evidence. At least, until something changed…
Reina felt something soft pressing into her back. “Heeey, cutie~” a soft feminine voice said from behind her. Reina blushed deeply as the bunnysuited waitress pressed into her. “Looking for a seat?”
Reina swallowed hard - Momo was collecting the chips from their most recent small victory, and was taking a minute. “N-No, I should stick with my friend-”
“It’s a couples’ game, she can join after, you’ve just gotta put down the bet! Hurry quick, the seats might close up~”
Had she had her whole intelligence, Reina might have noticed the dash of persuasive magic that laced the bunnygirl’s words, the hit of worry and rush that they instilled in her. But while she wasn’t particularly dumb now, an average intelligence wasn’t good enough to notice the subtle working. So she turned to that table the girl had pointed out, and saved herself and Momo a seat.
Casually, the dealer created the appropriate chips. A couple of green chips with pictographic depictions of an unlabeled lever being pulled, as well as a pair of new orange chips, one side displaying a pictogram of a figure standing alone and tall and the other a figure clinging tightly to another - the minimum bet of this hand, taken from both participants. Reina got herself dealt in, as well as Momo. By the time the other girl arrived, they were deep into the hand.
“R-Reina!” Momo hissed as she took her seat, “What are you doing!? What’s being bet?”
“Momo!” Reina said cheerfully, “Sorry, it looked like a good seat to take, and by the time I noticed it was getting so high it was too late… but don’t worry, I’ve got a good hand here!” she said, showing a… pretty good hand.
Momo sighed. “This is a doubles table, right? How is it divided?” she said, eyeing the growing pile of orange chips and green chips.
“If we lose, all the chips of one type are taken from one of us. If we win, even split. I think you’re orange, which should be fine since we win anyway… ah, time to show the cards.” Reina said, putting down a high-tier hand… and promptly having the victory snatched by an even higher tier one.
For Reina, there wasn’t much of a visible hit. She knew something was lost, but not what. Not great, but could have been worse. Momo, on the other hand, took the loss hard. As the orange chips were dragged away, the words she’d been planning to say to Reina were dragged away with them; she’d been about to tell her that they were done, they were leaving. But suddenly, the thought of saying something so forceful was unthinkable to her. The idea that Reina might get mad at her for it was too much. “We… we, maybe, if-if you want, should leave, Reina…”
Reina shook her head. “I haven’t won yet!” she said, “I need to win something before we leave, ok?”
Momo could only nod to this, agreeing to go on. She had to go with what Reina said. She had to because, she realized now, those orange chips had represented her independence. She still had some left, but now the idea of doing something without someone else’s approval was terrifying. And unfortunately, this same meant she couldn’t tell Reina what she’d lost - she’d bet away a lot of her self control.
They went on gambling and betting in various games for hours, Momo going right along with whatever Reina wanted to do and making any bets she asked for. Reina bet frequently and big, and her intelligence and money took huge swings in either direction, although usually ending as a net loss. What she did consistently win was physical attributes; her hair turned a dirty blonde rather than her boring black, her bust swelled from modest As to impressive Cs, and she had a quite nice bottom to match. She certainly had the obvious evidence of magic she’d wanted, but she’d lost so much self control she couldn’t stop betting, no matter what it took.
Momo, meanwhile, lost a lot; she kept her intelligence and self control mostly, but lost other aspects physical and mental. She’d shrunk down to five feet, and had her features turn progressively more dull and average as she went. And again and again she bet her independence at Reina’s urging, until she was clinging to her constantly for fear of being out of contact - especially as her confidence was taken from her as well.
They were at another couple’s table, playing a couple of rounds with a well dressed man and woman. As Reina and Momo settled down, Momo noticed the dealer lean over to the man and whisper something. “...Maybe we should find another table…?” she said meekly.
Reina, for her part, still had all her natural confidence - just no longer tempered with intelligence and self control. “Nah, we’re fineeeee.” she said, patting her clingy partner on the head.
“So, friend,” the man said casually, “I notice we’ve both got some partners letting us do the work for them. If you’ve had results like mine, I bet she lets you do whatever you want, right? How’s about we have a fun bet?”
Reina, not noticing anything amiss, nodded. “Oooh, that does sound fun, what kind of bet?”
The man signaled the dealer, who pulled out two pairs of pink and white chips, handing one to Reina and one to the man. “Let’s bet these special ones, shall we? One chip represents our partners’ loyalty, friendship, etc. The other represents their whole physical selves. We’re betting our partners.”
Reina, even in her current dimwitted state, wasn’t about to bet her friend so easily - at least until a bunnygirl slid in behind her. “Ooooh, this is a really interesting one! I bet she’d help you however you wanted if you won~” the woman cooed. Even this wouldn’t have been enough, were it not for the thick layer of persuasive magic put into every word (and the breasts pressing against her back). It was so heavy even Momo, who wasn’t the target, nearly said that Reina should bet her, but she was still planning to ask her not to-
“I’ll do it! That’ll be great evidence, won’t it Momo?” Reina said cheerfully, too dumb to pretend she was just another player anymore.
“Y-Yes it would, Reina…” Momo agreed, sighing.
Reina wasn’t smart enough for poker anymore, so it was blackjack now. Momo couldn’t look. She heard Reina ask for new cards again, and again, and again - until she cheered loudly. As the cards went down, the man had only a single one - a three. A terrible hand, one that only an idiot wouldn’t have added to.
Reina, meanwhile, put a combination of cards adding to 31. “I got the highest number, so I win, right?” she said smugly. “Right, Momo? Aren’t you proud?”
“Not quite, sweety.” the man said, dragging his chips over. He took the white chip, and gave his girlfriend the pink. Momo stiffened, before hastily detaching herself from Reina and rushing over the woman’s side.
“Mmmh~ That was mean, playing a trick on a dummy like that, but I guess you deserve me.” Momo said to the woman. All her loyalty and love for Reina was in the chip that the woman had taken possession of; as far as she was concerned, that dumb bimbo could go and sell off the rest of her mind.
“M-Momo?” Reina stammered, a spike of worry going through the fog in her mind.
“Hmm, I know I asked him to win you, but you’re kinda plain…” the woman said, looking at Momo’s features; most of her uniqueness had been taken by various bets.
“I’m sorry, I know I am, but please don’t leave me!” Momo said, pushing her meagre chest closer.
“Hmmm… Well, I could win you back a set of tits…” The man considered, looking at her, “but I think I have a better idea.” He took the token representing her physical form and tapped her on the head. “You want to be as close as you can to Gina here, don’t you? Well, let’s help you do that!”
Reina cried out as Momo crumpled, pressing even harder into the woman as her legs gave out. She was starting to change color, as if the black of her hair was leaching into the rest of her, covering her body and clothes. Her clothes seemed to meld into her body, which rapidly took on a shiny and smooth texture. “Momo! Whoever you are, s-stop doing that to my friend!”
“Why should I? You bet her and lost. She’s not your friend anymore; she belongs to my girlfriend, and she’ll be a very pretty dress.” The man said with a smirk, as Momo’s body stretched out around Gina, covering much of her.
Contrasting with Reina’s worry, Momo sounded delighted. “A-Ahhhh, Gina, I’m so close to you,” she practically moaned - she was already a girl lacking all independence, so what difference did it make to her if she was an object? As long as she was as close as could be to her frie- to her owner, she didn’t care. That was the only sound she made before her vocal cords collapsed with the rest of her. Her smooth latex body wrapped around Gina, and she leaned into the change, pushing her hips into the woman’s so they would flatten against her, her hands clasping behind Gina’s back to form a strap. She sank her head into Gina’s chest, where it distorted and stretched out as her features faded into black. She was unrecognizable as a human being, let alone as Momo, as the new black latex dress settled against it’s owner. The woman’s prior clothing lay discarded on the ground, shucked off at some point during the transformation. Internally, Momo the dress sighed with bliss as she felt herself press against her owner’s skin, cup her boobs, make her look so sexy… she was being a good friend, a good dress...
The man cupped his girlfriend’s boobs through the skin-tight latex, and Gina leaned into it, letting Reina see everything. “Rematch! I have to earn Momo back!” Reina shouted.
“Oh, was that her name? I’ll be sure to forget it later.” the woman said, stroking her latex-clad hip.
“Now, now, honey, we should give the dummy a chance…” the man said, with a nod to the dealer. “How about a different game? One that you’re not too dumb to play?”
Reina pouted, but nodded. “Uh… what kind of game? Go fish?” The man guided her to a table with red and black checker marks and a spinning ball… “Ah, this game! It’s, uh… a rowling wheel, a ruley wheel...”
“Roulette.” the man supplied.
“Roulette!” Reina confirmed. A luck based game, which was perfect for her right now as much as she hated to admit it.
“We’ll bet your friend’s tokens…” the man said, handing the two Momo-controlling tokens to the staff member in charge of the wheel, “And you’ll bet the same for yourself. I bet you’d make an excellent maid…”
Reina turned her nose up at him at that, but still offered a pink and white piece to the staff member.
“We’ll do this simple; I bet on red. If the ball lands on red, I win. On black, you win.” he said.
Even with Reina’s current (lack of) brainpower, she could parse that. “Come on then, black!” she cried.
As the tokens were set down, the staff member set the ball rolling. Around and around it went, a spiral without magic and yet one that Reina couldn’t take her eyes off of all the same. The man seemed fairly calm, even though it was 50:50 odds. The ball rolled, and rolled… and as it slowed, it seemed almost to waver between a red and a black space. Reina held her breath…
And released it in a huff as the ball slid into a black space. Surprisingly, the man didn’t seem all that fussed as Reina cheered and took her chips - Momo’s chips.
The dress, blissfully unaware of what was going on as it clung to Gina, suddenly felt wrong. Momo was being supported… but by the wrong person. As Reina skipped over to take her back, the dress seemed to ripple and leap off of Gina’s body, leaving her in only her lingerie. “Momo!” Reina cried, hugging the latex dress close while the man and woman left with a somewhat suspicious smile.
Reina~! Momo cried inside of Reina’s head, I’m sorry, I couldn’t control myself, I’ve been a bad friend and a bad dress… please don’t get rid of me, owner!
There was something wrong there. Reina couldn’t place it though, and Momo seemed more happy than anything, so she let it slide. “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t do that!” she whispered. “Maybe… maybe we should…” she started to think they should get out… but a by then familiar feeling pressed against her arm.
“Wow, lucky you~” the bright blonde bunnygirl who’d been following them all night said cheerfully. “Great job winning that back~! It must have been so stressful to be separated.”
Reina nodded. “Thanks! It was, I’m glad to have her back… I just gotta, figure out how to use this chip…”
“Oh, you just tap her with it. Simple as pie!” the bunnygirl said, “Not feeling the dress? Me neither, way too modest. I prefer something like this~” she tugged at the neckline of her bunnysuit to make a point, and Reina blushed.
“O-Oh, I need to t-turn her back, you know…” Reina stammered. She did, right? But why didn’t that seem like a good idea…
“Oh, but she’s begging to be worn! Can’t you hear her?” the bunnygirl whispered sensually into Reina’s ear.
I’ll do whatever you want, owner! I’ll be whatever you want me to be! Momo’s voice echoed in her mind, But I want to be as close to you as possible!
The double whammy of persuasion was too much for Reina. She tapped the sensual black dress with the token, and it surged into action. Reina’s fancy dress and even lingerie discarded, the latex pressed itself against her tightly. Momo cupped her owner’s breasts as best she could, making sure to give her a plunging neckline that would show off her assets. She was on cloud nine as she hugged Reina’s curves, and as she pressed right up against her crotch while she turned from fancy dress to a similar but very different latex form. Her black latex strap dropped down to the middle of her back, and she felt a different part of her stretch out. Her bottom half, the part that wasn’t clinging tightly to Reina’s crotch and hips, expanded dramatically down her long and sexy legs. It was almost painful as she stretched herself thinly, but the mind blowing pleasure of showing off her owner’s whole body drowned that out completely.
As Momo settled with a contented sigh, Reina’s outfit had been replaced with a mirror image of the bunnygirl’s, short a tail and the ears; a tight black latex leotard and form-hugging, nearly see through leggings. Reina cupped her hands under her breasts and moaned as she felt surprising pleasure.
The bunnygirl smiled, and wrapped an arm around Reina’s shoulder. “Now… you’ve been a couple of bad girls, haven’t you?” the bunnygirl whispered. “Sneaking into my casino, looking for evidence of how to bring me down…”
Reina blinked, not understanding.
“Oh, right, duh. You’re dumb, I forgot. I’m the owner of this place,” the bunnygirl explained, “And I caught you, magical girl.”
“Oh, right. That sounds bad.” Reina nodded.
It’s very bad Reina! Momo said, We have to get out of here!
“But I wanted to play more…”
That’s also fine, owner! Momo hurriedly added.
“You can play one more game with me.” The owner said. “You win, you get back everything you’ve lost and go on your way. I pick up and relocate, you try to catch me before I do, the works,” But then she pulled Reina tighter. “You lose, you’re mine. You bet your name here, you bet everything. But then, if you say no, I just do it anyway. But that’s no fun.”
The game was… laughably simple. It was a game of rock paper scissors. Reina was told that if she played rock, she would win. Reina played paper, thinking she’d been told what the owner, Teiko, would play. As Teiko took the black chip that represented Reina’s name and identity, she grinned. That hadn't even been rigged, unlike all the other games they'd played since Reina made that slip up; that had just been Reina's intense stupidity.
Reina was staring stupidly at her hand, trying to figure out how she’d lost. She kept doing it as her breasts swelled to D-cups bordering on E-cups, as her ass grew out proportionally and her waist tightened, and Momo shifted to accommodate her owner’s transformation. She didn’t notice how the hand she was looking at went from pale white to a nice tan, or her hair brightening to platinum blonde and cascading down to her ass. She didn’t care about the subtle reworking of her face, how her eyes went from brown to sky blue, as a set of bunny ears popped out of her head and a tail wriggled from her bottom. And Reina didn’t notice a single thing as she stopped being Reina.
Hey, where did Reina go- Momo started, but as her chips were on the new staff member, her ownership went too.
The chip had changed it’s label; where the words ‘Reina’ had once been, was now a new name. Teiko smirked, and sauntered over to remind her new girl of her job.
Sapphire giggled softly as she pressed her boobs against a man’s arm. “Come on! You’re on a roll, I bet you can go higher!” she sing-songed. When the man won the slots roll again, she gave him a kiss on the cheek and let him cop a feel as a bonus.
You’re a natural at this, Sapphy! Momo the bunnysuit cheered in her head, You’ll have your brains back in no time!
Brains? What brains? Sapphy thought at Momo.
The debt, remember? Momo said - and she did, because in her new reality that was exactly what had happened; her memories had restructured themselves to fit her owner. Momo, who had of course always been a bunny suit, was Sapphy’s magical clothing and best friend. Unfortunately, owner had gotten a bit too enthusiastic with her gambling…
Sapphire blinked. Oh, yeah, right! she thought, nodding. So my job is encouraging customers to play more… she nodded more, that sounded right.
That’s it, Sapphy! And if they win a jackpot, they get a night with one of the buns as a special bonus, too~ Momo always liked it when Sapphy got picked; it meant she was doing her job, showing off her sexy body. And sometimes, the guys were so horny they didn’t bother to wait and fucked Sapphy without taking her off first, using Momo as a makeshift condom!
Sapphire licked her lips… and then, triple sevens came up on the slots and tokens galore poured out. Sapphire kissed the man full on the lips at that; while it was bad for her debt - she only got IQ back if people lost big! - it was great for her arousal~
