A Trust Machines Transformation Story
(Girls to Monsters)
“Omigod omigod omigod best sweet sixteen ever!” Lena bounced excitedly in her chair, giggling. She held the Monster Wars Battle Catalog in her hands, her form-to-be already chosen.
In all honesty, her life hadn’t been as great as she’d wanted. She wasn’t the smartest girl in her class, or the prettiest. She was sixteen and had never had a boyfriend. But what she apparently did have was luck, and a lot of it.
“I can’t believe you won a free fight in Monster Wars!” Her best friend Becky chimed. The brunette held a catalog of her own, and she turned it to her friend to reveal a massive tiger-taur. It looked like a tiger’s body, but from the neck up was a massively muscled anthropomorphic torso that sported four muscular arms. Each of the beast’s eight limbs were adorned with impressively sharp claws, and it had a maw full of sharp teeth.
“Impressive…” Lena smiled, tilting her head and imagining the girl inside that thing; imagined her becoming it. The Venn Machine would let her transform in it and fight Lena’s form-to-be to the death, and all without so much a second of risk. “Why that?”
“The Tigrine Berzerker? Because, look at him! I want to be that; I want to have those thick muscles, that dense fur, and those sharp claws! Look at his arms, at his maw!” Becky turned the magazine to herself, staring at it and drooling.
“Yeah, plus I bet you noticed he’s probably hung like a horse.”
“Like a tiger, I’d hope.” Becky replied, looking back to her choice and ogling his bulging muscles.
“Yeah…” Lena sighed. “You do know that you’re not going to be allowed to masturbate, right? Even if you weren’t underage, there’s that whole fighting thing going on? You know, where we go at each other?”
Becky nodded, kicking her legs and humming. “But when I do turn eighteen, I’ll have him in my Venning history… As far as the fight goes, though… I’m not scared.”
That was interesting. Lena arched an eyebrow inquisitively. “Oh?”
“Duh. I’m gonna tear you to shreds.” Becky grinned, a glint of something predatorial within her eyes. “I don’t care what you choose, I’m planning on pulling you apart a piece at a time with those muscular, bulging arms…”
Lena rolled her eyes before turning her own catalog towards Becky. “Wouldn’t count on it.”
Her own monster of choice was a mixture of an octopus and a hellish lobster. It scuttled on six chitinous legs which tapered into a curved, scythe-like body ending in a sharp maw. Two claw-tipped arms bulged from either side, with a third arm rising from the center of the creature’s spine. All that, and it came with tentacles, a pair emerging from its dominant arm; a quartet from its mouth; and others slipping out from its armored body seemingly at random.
Becky didn’t have words, and Lena beamed. “See, you’re trying to bring a Corvette to a demolition derby. And me? I’m bringing a tank.”
“I only understood that last sentence but oh my dog, that’s badass!” Becky beamed. “The caption calls it a Chaos Beast?”
“Yep. And I’m gonna show you just how chaotic it can be.” Lena smirked, taking her book back and gazing into the stalklike eyes of her body-to-be. It was a real monster, all right… And soon, she’d become it.
Soon turned out to be less than half an hour, and before Lena knew it she was scuttling out from the Trust Machine. Her body was… Alien, to say the least. The soft parts of her body were hypersensitive to ripples in the air, and she used these to ‘hear’ her surroundings.
In truth, she was deaf-at least in the human sense of the word. However, even though she couldn’t hear, she could feel the vibrations in the air around herself; feel the rippling currents and use them to pinpoint sounds.
For example, she knew that the Tigrine Berzerker that Becky had become was roaring at her from across the room, the male’s fangs bared. Male… That was a thought. Lena hadn’t considered it when she’d chosen this form, but it was completely and utterly null. There was nothing male about it, and nothing female about it either. She was an ‘it’ now.
The Chaos Beast paused for a moment contemplatively, then it opened its mouth into a bellowing roar in response. The second it opened its impossibly toothed maw, tentacles snaked up through its throat and out past its lips.
It was unnerving to experience, and was no doubt even more unsettling to see. It gave the male across from Lena a brief pause, and the beast reveled in its opponent’s indecision. Today blood would be spilled… After a photo session.
Lena hoped that its stalk-eyes wouldn’t get disrupted by the cameras’ flashing. It couldn’t exactly blink when it was like this, not without eyelids. Come to think of it, how did its eyes work? They were like glass bulbs, hard and polished around the liquid of its own eyes. It noticed that it could cross them and swivel them in three-hundred sixty degrees, which allowed it both to see Becky and its beckoning mother at the same time.
The Chaos Beast scuttled towards its waiting family, more than a little embarrassed that its mother was looking at it like she would on prom day. It didn’t need to be able to read lips to know that the woman was gushing over how ‘pretty and scaaary her little girl looked’, completely missing the point that Lena now wasn’t a girl.
Still, it started to pose for them, knowing that it would later want to remember every second of this. It hoped that its mother would take photos of it when it was busy mutilating its best friend… Of course, Becky might have some qualms about that, but… Well, when he became a she again, he’d find the humor in it.
Lena lifted its claws, opening them wide as though it was ready to snap a prey animal in half. That seemed to get the attention of its family-and of the Tigrine Berzerker across the room. It screeched with amusement at the unease in the mammal’s eyes.
Becky had chosen something that was too real; too human. Even as a girl, the Tigrine had never been one for outlandish Vennings. That would be his undoing. Lena clicked its amusement, turning and leaning towards its mother’s camera to get a good photo of the claw that snaked from the center of its spine.
It was pleased with the pictures, and turned to head towards the arena. Much as Lena didn’t want to admit it, it was upset by Becky’s arrogant posing in his own pictures. It would see just how much pain would break him of that arrogance.
Its mother stopped it from moving, waving it down, and the Chaos Beast paused, tilting its head. It looked up to see the Tigrine Berzerker being waved towards it, a feline look of confusion on his face as well. Then the beasts’ parents pointed to their cameras excitedly, and the two understood.
They hadn’t even thought about a group photo, and both of them were immediately glad that their parents had. Becky was the first to move, putting both of his broad right arms around the Chaos Beast’s shoulder. He moved his left arms separately, one doing a thumbs-down with the other doing a peace sign.
Lena made note of that. It didn’t like how he was already so dexterous with his limbs-normally a Venned contestant would be clumsier with those. It would need to remember that in the fight… Lena clacked its jaws, curling its dominant claw around the tiger-taur’s waist, its tentacles slithering snugly around his torso.
Then, the two of them roared at the camera, each of the two having the same idea, intending to intimidate the other. Unfortunately, not only did their roars completely lack the intended effect; they also made the creature’s parents coo about how ‘cute’ and ‘adorable’ they were.
Lena didn’t know what was worse: the fact that it had just been called adorable, or the fact that the word had been said slowly enough for it to read its parents lips. The beast bristled, pulling away from its friend and stalking towards its side of the arena.
On the bright side, now it was furious.
The Chaos Beast stormed into the arena, its large claws digging into the bloodstained dirt. It reared back and let out another screech, watching as its opponent answered with a loud roar of his own. Finally, this was it.
Of course its parents distracted it momentarily, though it seemed the same could be said of its opponent. Just as their former-daughters had taken to the sands, the families had taken to the stands to watch and cheer on their respective champions. At least, Lena assumed that its family was cheering for it. Honestly, it was too deaf to tell the difference between ‘Lena’ and ‘Becky’.
Lena leaned in forward, pulling its pincers back. It planned to rush Becky, only to lean back in alarm as he took the first move instead. The Tigrine was fast, his paws bounding through the dirt with ease… But he also didn’t have as good traction. That was an advantage Lena would need to use.
Lena dug its talons into the dirt and lunged out with a taloned arm, tentacles questing for the Tigrine’s throat. Much to its surprise, Becky let the attack connect. Lena pulled its arm back, ready to yank Becky towards her other claws and eviscerate him.
Becky seemed to have expected this, however. He planted his paws in the sand as well, his claws digging furrows in the dirt. The Tigrine stopped just shy of his opponent’s other claw, all four of his hands clamping around Lena’s outstretched arm.
Lena screeched with shock and anger alike, realizing too late that it had overextended. It tried to scuttle forwards, to keep the inevitable from happening. It was too slow. Becky bared his teeth and pressed his pawlike hands together, pulping Lena’s limb with a deafening roar.
The pain was real, albeit numbed as was tradition with Monster Wars. Lena was absolutely enraged, letting its arm fall limp and ducking down, sending its back-mounted claw for Becky’s chest. This time the Tigrine dodged, roaring as the attack managed to catch one of his left arms.
It wasn’t what Lena had planned on, but it would take what it could get. The Chaos Beast clamped down its pincer, feeling a moment of resistance before it the chitin cut through meat and snapped bone. It could feel its opponent’s roar through its soft, receptive sensors-and the beast reveled in the gout of blood.
Unfortunately, it looked like whoever had designed Becky’s form had factored limb loss into the monster’s design. Though he was missing an arm, the fountain of blood soon drizzled off to a trickle, clotting in seconds.
It seemed to amuse Lena’s family greatly, and they cheered and laughed at Becky’s expense. The Tigrine bristled, hackles literally rising a second before he charged once more. He struck with a savage ferocity that Lena hadn’t expected, and for a few moments the Chaos Beast was forced onto the defensive.
He swiped with this three remaining arms at Lena, claws gouging massive furrows into her carapace. It could feel some of them biting through to its actual flesh, and it hatefully spat a gobbet of mucus into Becky’s face, blinding him for just a moment.
Becky didn’t let up the attack despite his impairment, surging a hand forward and grabbing one of Lena’s eye-stalks. Cracks spiderwebbed along Lena’s view, and the beast screeched at its opponent. Then he squeezed, bursting it like an overripe fruit and sending a lance of pain through Lena’s body.
How else was Lena to retort other than spearing through Becky’s gut with its legs? The attack was savage and sudden, and enough to finally get Becky to relent for a moment. However, his anthropomorphic body had a spare set of vitals. Even though he had a punctured lung, Becky still had three more.
Lena needed another good attack, and it knew just how to get one. The beast reared back on its four hind legs once more, spearing two forward and stabbing one through Becky’s front right leg. He roared back to it defiantly, bracing himself for an attack.
That would be his mistake: he should have severed the limb outright. Lena opened its maw wide, letting its tentacles shoot towards Lena’s head. Apparently he didn’t expect that, roaring back and clamping his paws around the suction-cupped tentacles.
To Becky’s credit, he was able to pull off all four tentacles… At the cost of his bottom pair of arms. Lena moved quickly, pincers snapping and tearing through its friend like gardening shears meeting meat-wrapped popsicle sticks. There was a moment of soft cutting followed by a pair of hard crunches that Lena could feel even through its carapace.
This alone was enough to cripple Becky, but Lena wasn’t done yet. Becky had taken such pride in his masculinity… Well, that wouldn’t last long. The Chaos Beast lowered its head, butting its spiked carapace into Becky’s torso. Becky resisted the attack, as expected, buying Lena the time it needed to snake out its nethermost tentacles.
The limbs wrapped around Becky’s masculine sheath; around his balls. Then they pulled, and pulled hard. Lena regretted not being able to truly hear its opponent in that moment, because it was sure the sounds would be absolutely delectable.
It was a thought straight from its body’s instincts, and it gave into them. Lena was winning this; was going to win! It slavered at the mouth, leaning back and tearing Becky’s masculinity off with a vicious pull.
It move the claw on its back around to its underside, picking up the shorn appendage and slurping the meat into its mouth. The flavor was delectable, rich of blood and soft, tender flesh. The Chaos Beast hadn’t expected eating to be so pleasurable, and it would make sure to continue once it had finished with its best friend.
Said best friend was currently gawping, stunned to silence. Apparent his family loved it, because his side of the arena lit up with camera flashes that made the Tigrine balk in a dazed surprise. The Chaos Beast took advantage of this, getting in close and delivering a solid shot to Becky’s gut. It followed one blow with another, curling its maw around Becky’s remaining arm, sinking its teeth into the meat and wrapping its mouth-tentacles around the limb.
The Tigrine Berzerker looked down to its arm, chest heaving as he breathed his last. Lena savored it, snapping both his remaining pincers around the limb, cutting off his hand, then his arm at the shoulder. This was it, was what victory tasted like: blood, sweat, matted fur!
Then Becky lunged his head forward, his feline jaws clamping around his lost limb. And he pulled, tore his head back, and sent all the power in his body into one massive tug. Lena hadn’t expected it; still had its claws buried into the ground to keep it from moving.
An unstoppable force met an immovable object, and for a moment Lena thought the last-ditch effort was made in vain. Then it felt something yield, and it screeched in shock. Its body couldn’t be moved, the carapace was too strong… But the same couldn’t be said of its mouth-tentacles, too-tightly wound around Becky’s arm.
With a gout of offal, Lena’s tentacles were pulled from it-and they were followed by its innards. Lena hadn’t looked at the beast’s anatomy, and it didn’t realize that the mouth-tentacles were meant for feeding and show. That was its downfall, and it slumped over onto its friend, hate still burning in its eyes.
Becky pulled back, looking to his vanquished foe defiantly. Lena wanted nothing more than to tear his throat out, but what little consciousness it had left was rapidly fading. It could do nothing more than look sullenly at the proud Tigrine, somehow standing tall despite his armless and bloody torso.
Becky still held his own arm in his mouth, Lena’s tentacles and organs still clinging to it stubbornly. There were far, far more organs attached to that than Lena had expected, and it felt a moment of stupefied shock. Then its body fell onto the ground with a crashing of insectoid carapace.
Lena had never died before. This was a new experience. It could still feel, but everything was so numb, as though there was an invisible barrier that kept most sensations free of its body. It could also feel the severed part of its body somehow, which meant that it could feel Becky begin to feast on the tentacles and innards. No doubt he’d say it tasted like calamari.
The two’s parents scooted down towards the arena, their cameras at the ready. Of course they’d want photos of Lena’s dead form and the near-dead Becky… The Tigrine Berzerker looked like he was on his last legs-even if he did have four of them. Still, that didn’t keep him from pawing around in Lena’s innards, constantly glancing up to his friend and growling with amusement.
Seeing his tail flick like that was insult to injury, and Lena glowered internally. It couldn’t move right now, but later… They both had these bodies in their Venning history, and there was a clearing in the woods for a rematch. Everyone knew that proper fight were best of five, after all…
