Thanks to @magicshoppe, I decided to write a story for a BigCloset contest. The theme was New Year's Resolutions, and I figured I'd take a poke at doing something along the lines of Casual Venning - treating the Trust Machines as an old friend in the setting, and staying low-key about the transformation itself. The characters grew on me a little, but I like where I've left them.

The intro was my attempt at giving a basic rundown on the Trust Machines' nature and existence for a space that's not familiar with them. I've kept it here because ... eh, why not.

Contest closed a month ago (didn't win, barely even got mentioned, though I got a few nice comments on the story itself - I'm not surprised, it's very much not a typical BigCloset story), time for it to show up here.
