A Trust Machines Story by

Slightly annoyed, Patty watched her cousin Rob enter the Venn Machine. He had asked her to change him into a special Valentine's Day gift for his wife, but Patty was a bit turned off by the whole idea. She knew that being transformed in the machine would leave him relatively indestructible, but the whole idea of the things he did with his wife and those machines...

“Hurry, Pat! Change me!  You gotta time these just right!” he yelled to her as the door closed behind him.

She stepped into her side of the machine, programming his change on the display before her, and set it in motion. Then she walked out and retrieved the solid chocolate heart her cousin had become.

“Special delivery!” Patty called at Rob's front door. Mona, his wife, opened it, as if she'd been standing right there waiting for the visit. Which she probably had.

“He's here! Finally! I've been waiting all day for this–” She unwrapped the paper adorning her husband and gasped in delight. “Oh, he's beautiful! Perfect!” Admiring his smooth, shapely form, she sniffed at the chocolate. “And he smells heavenly!”

Patty watched with distaste. “Made of the finest chocolate we could program.”

“Oh, I'm so excited! Hang on a minute, Rob!” She placed her husband on the table and took a last swig of the tea she had been drinking.

“You're really going to eat him?” asked Patty, sitting down in one of the kitchen chairs and staring at her cousin's inanimate form. The whole idea of it was unpalatable to her. These foodies, gastros, whatever they called themselves... Enjoying being turned into food and eaten... Yes, it was completely safe, but who would want to be chewed up and swallowed, and...

“You know we don't go all the way,” Mona said in answer to what she figured Patty was thinking.

“Rob has. He told me. But he said he's not into it, thank God. It's bad enough being eaten, but coming out the other end... I can't imagine...”

Mona had felt the same way about the Venn Machines and being eaten, but Rob had introduced her to the experience, and she had never looked back. But she also hadn't gone the whole way either. That was simply not something she wanted to do. “Oh, Patty, look how long it took for Rob to even get you into a Venn Machine! And all you've been are a couple of animals!”

“I don't want to be inanimate. I can't imagine not moving.”

“When you're the object, you don't want to move. You're an object.”

“I don't believe that. I'm still me.”

“Whatever, Patty. Listen, this is all timed so things don't go too far. Let me get started, and I'll call you later when we need you again.”

Patty rose, a snarl on her face. “Just what I get to do as a single woman on Valentine's Day. Turn people into food.”

By now, Mona had picked up her chocolate husband and kissed him.

“Really?” Patty gaped at her. “You're really going to eat him, huh?”

“Well, first I'm going to play with him a bit.”

Patty groaned and left.

“I love you like this, Rob.” Mona lay down on her bed, propping up the chocolate heart on her husband's pillow. “Now, as much as I want to take a bite out of that gorgeous chocolate shape, I think I'd like to get a taste of you first.” She ran her tongue up and down his bumps and cupped it around the valentine's tip. Then she placed her teeth on the point, biting off the 'v' part. Her husband's sweetness surrounded her mouth, melting on her tongue. His taste was the perfect blend of everything chocolate. He made her taste buds tingle, and she delighted in his velvety smoothness. Finally he went down her throat, surely very happy.

Rob wondered if there had ever been a chocolate heart as full of joy as he. When his wife cupped him in her hands, he felt comfortable and snug, and the warmth of her skin flowed into his chocolate form. He could feel himself soften somewhat from the heat, and it was quite relaxing. Then Mona's tongue ran down his front, sending him into a blissful daze. He felt her teeth playing with his surface, until they pierced through and took a piece of him into her warm mouth. There he was, just a little bit of him, being massaged by her tongue and gently crushed by her teeth. He was more liquid than solid in there, and the roughness of her taste buds tickled his soft form.

And then that little bit of him was pushed down, and down...

But the rest of him was being rubbed and licked, and he could only imagine the mess Mona was making with him on the sheets. She scraped at him with her nails, and little bits of him remained under them until she sucked them out. She grasped him tightly, holding him purposely until the wonderful feeling of melting was upon him again. He could feel himself liquefying, layer by layer, until most of his shape was gone. He was a soft chocolate mass, and his wife was rubbing him all over herself...

Finally Mona could hold out no longer. She needed to ingest the chocolate! She took bite after ambrosial bite. No food tasted better than Venned people, and her husband always tasted the best. He was everywhere now – on the pillow, the sheets, and all over her... She knew he was loving this immensely – he always relished the feel of being many places at once. And he had the added benefit here of being flat, liquid, and a little bit still firm...

She studied the small mass of chocolate left in her hands. “Happy Valentine's Day, baby!” she cried, and she consumed the rest of him.

“Oh, God, you were amazing with me, Mona!” Rob gasped upon changing back.

“You were, like, perfect chocolate, Rob! Best I've ever had!”

He blushed. “Aren't I always?”

Mona laughed. “Well, you do become a good pizza.” She grinned. Being a pizza was one of Rob's favorite experiences.

A knock at the front door heralded Patty's arrival. “I'm back, you sickos. And you owe me big time.”

Rob patted his cousin on the back. “How about I become a massive block of fudge for you to gorge on, Pat?”

“You're gross. Now let's get this finished. I have a life. Or not. Whatever.”

At the Venn Machine, Mona stood shivering with anticipation. “You remember what I told you to program, Patty?”

Patty nodded, getting into her side of the machine.

“I can't wait to see my Valentine's gift,” Rob gushed hungrily. He ran his hand through his wife's brown hair once more before it became something...very delicious.

Mona looked into his eyes. “Enjoy me,” she said, almost pleadingly, and then she stepped into the Venn Machine.

Patty emerged first. “All yours,” she said in a disinterested voice, and she walked off.

The door opened on his wife, and Rob inhaled deeply. There Mona lay, a life-size, chocolate version of herself. He made a small ecstatic jump, clapping his hands together. “Oh, you're beautiful! I'll never get to eat all of you, but I don't have to...” He let his words die away as his head swam with all kinds of ideas about what to do with a chocolate wife. “Pat, come back for a sec. I need some help getting Mona home.”

Grudgingly, Pattty returned. She took one look at Mona and nearly gagged. “You guys are sick. Just sick.”

“Happy Valentine's Day, Pat!” Rob chirped, picking the chocolate statue up by its feet.

“Jerk.” Patty mumbled. She picked up Mona by the arms, chipping off a piece of her shoulder. “Damn,” she mumbled. “I broke her.”

“Oh, no prob.” Rob picked the sliver of chocolate wife from the grass and ate it.

Patty rolled her eyes. Some of the craziest people are one's own relatives, she'd heard, and it was quite true. “I hope you get some horrible disease from eating your wife off of the ground,” she muttered under her breath as they walked chocolate Mona home.
