The final bell had rung at Itan private high school, meaning most of the students were getting ready to leave for the day. Tadano, Manbagi, and Komi-San were getting ready to embark on their trek home when they were stopped by everyone’s childhood friend, Najime. “Hey Komi! Before you go, I got something for you!” Najime shouted, popping up from seemingly nowhere.

Komi was startled for a second, signified by the sudden appearance of cat ears on top of her head. “Oh hey Najime, what do you have?” Tadano asked.

“Tada!” They shouted, pulling a T-shirt from their bag. It was a mainly white shirt with blue sleeves that had the words ‘Sugoi Dekai’ on it. It was clearly a gag gift from the notorious prankster, as it looked like it would be quite big on Komi, especially in the chest area. “What do you think Komi?” Najime said, handing her the shirt.

Komi started vibrating rapidly, an action that usually occurred when she was trying to say something but her communication disorder kept her from doing so. Tadano could tell that Komi was trying to turn down Najime’s “gift” but couldn’t muster up the confidence to do so. She took the shirt and put it in her bag as Najime disappeared again, no doubt going to bug other people.

“You know you can just get rid of the shirt, right Komi?” Tadano asked. Komi shook her head as if she couldn’t bring herself to do that either. It was a gift and she couldn’t just throw it away.

Komi flopped onto her bed, she had changed out of her uniform and was looking forward to relaxing for the rest of the day. As Komi went to retrieve her phone from her bag, she saw the shirt Najime had given her. She stared at the shirt, before deciding to pick it up. She posed in front of her mirror, holding up the shirt in front of her. It didn’t look that bad actually. Komi looked around her room as if she was checking for anyone watching her.

She slipped on the shirt and looked at the mirror again. It didn’t look half bad on her, actually. She looked surprisingly good in this shirt, her confidence starting to well up inside her. Komi didn’t realize it but her confidence wasn’t the only thing welling up. Her already modest bust began to increase in size, rising with every breath. Soon, the shirt began to fit more and more as Komi’s bust passed letter after letter. Komi finally stopped growing after her bust reached a Japanese J cup size, the shirt now wrapped around and showing off her new chest.

Surprisingly, Komi didn’t seem to notice her new bust size. She didn’t even notice her old bra falling to the floor, breaking after trying to hold back the giant globes she had just grown. “Wow, this shirt actually looks good on me! It’d be a shame not to show it off.” Komi said, picking up her phone. “Time to actually use this thing! Maybe I’ll be nice and invite Tadano so he doesn’t stay home like a loner!” Komi said with a grin, showing off a small fang.

Tadano was sitting in his room, doing so light studying when his cell phone rang. He picked it up and saw that it was Komi calling him. “Hey Komi, what’s up?” He said.

“Hey, Tadano!” Komi shouted into the phone. Tadano rushed to turn down the volume on his phone, having it on max due to Komi usually being as silent as a mouse. “Manbagi-San and I were gonna go do some karaoke, and I thought we should invite you instead of letting you be a loner!”

Tadano was shocked that Komi was not only going to do karaoke, but she was the one who suggested it. Though he did think it was a little weird that she was calling him a loner. “Uh sure, thanks for the invite then,” Tadano said, hanging up the call. “Man, maybe she’s just getting more confident.”

Tadano met up with the small group that Komi assembled for Karaoke, including him, Manbagi, Agari, Nakanaka, and Yamai who wasn’t technically invited but somehow found out. “It’s super weird that Komi invited us and not Najime,” Manbagi told Tadano.

“Yeah, I’m kinda proud that she did it all on her own. I think she’s…” Tadano began to say before Komi finally showed up. Everyone was speechless, to everyone except Komi her new changes were apparent.  Everyone was in awe of Komi’s chest, Tadano was a red mess that looked away, Manbagi and Agari looked at each other in shock as they had been dethroned in the bust size category, and Nakanaka was reluctantly taking care of Yamai who passed out after seeing Komi. “…hey Komi. How are you feeling?” Tadano squeaked out.

“Never better Tadano! I’m glad you actually came instead of staying home like a loner!” Komi teased him, wrapping herself around his arm.

“Haha, yeah.” Tadano laughed, sweating like a mad man with Komi-san on his arm. That’s when he noticed what Komi was wearing, the shirt that Najime gave her.

“Now come on guys! Let’s go book the room!” Komi said, dragging Tadano to the karaoke place.

The remaining girls looked at each other. “Everyone saw that too right?” Manbagi asked.

“You mean Komi not only being super outgoing but also having the chest of an American supermodel? Kinda hard not to notice.” Nakanaka scoffed.

“M-Maybe she just had a growth spurt and got more confident from it?” Agari suggested.

“That wasn’t a growth spurt, that was a growth explosion!” Yamai said, finally coming back from the dead. “I don’t care what caused it but I can’t let Tadano hog Komi all to himself!” Yamai said, taking off after Komi and Tadano. The rest of the group sighed at Yamai’s antics and followed her lead, trying to put the shock of Komi behind them.

The next day at school, the karaoke group was exhausted and totally wiped out. With Komi’s newfound confidence, she was finally able to sing her heart out at karaoke. That also meant she wanted to sing every song on the list which lasted forever, they barely made it home before curfew.

Tadano heard the classroom door slam open and was surprised to find that Komi was still full of energy, and still as… changed as she was yesterday. Her school uniform looked very tight on her, if it weren’t for her summer uniform who knows if her winter one would fit her.  And if he wasn’t mistaken, it looked like there were some silver patches of color in her normally black hair. “Hey, guys! Last night was so much fun! Tonight we should hit up the arcade or something!” She shouted.

Manbagi and Tadano shared a look of fear. “I’ll have to pass tonight Komi, I’ve gotta study for the test we have tomorrow.” Tadano bluffed, Manbagi nodding along with him.

“Pff, you loners! You gotta get out and have some fun!” Hey Najime! What you got planned for tonight!” Komi shouted, running across the room. As she left Tadano caught a glimpse of a shirt under Komi’s uniform shirt. Thanks to the white tone of the uniform, he could see hints of the blue sleeves and red block of the “Sugoi Dekai” shirt.

“Hey Manbagi, I think I know what’s causing Komi to act like this,” Tadano whispered.

“Is it that weird shirt she was wearing? Where did Najime even get it?” She wondered.

“That’s not important right now, I think we just have to get her to stop wearing the shirt. We were planning on going to the beach tomorrow after class, maybe we can get it when she takes it off to put on a swimsuit. Though, we’ll need Najime’s and everyone else’s help.” Tadano planned. Soon, the two were able to wrangle the childhood friend away from everyone, including Komi. Tadano quickly explained the plan to them.

“Oh, I noticed something was off with Komi today,” Najime said.

“Really, you couldn’t tell?” Tadano muttered.

“But it looks like it’s helping Komi out! I think we should let her keep the shirt!” Najime said before the bell for lunch rang. “Speaking of, Hey Komi! Let’s have lunch together!” They shouted, running back into the classroom.

Manbagi and Tadano sighed as they returned to their desks, explaining the plan to the usual group of friends. The plan came to a halt when Najime pulled up a chair. “Najime, what happened?” Manbagi asked.

“Komi now has too much energy, even for me.” Najime wheezed as if drained of all social energy.

“Alright, we’re all in on the plan. Get that shirt, and we get our nice, shy, normal Komi back!” Tadano shouted, a cry of “Yeah!” following it.

The plan was in action, Tadano and the friend group waited at the train station for Komi, who was unsurprisingly wearing the shirt and had more silver in her hair. She was as hyper as usual, even through the train ride. The first attempt for the shirt was made in the locker room. All the girls kept an eye on Komi, watching for the moment they could steal the shirt. They were putting on their bikinis when Komi took off her shirt. Yamai bolted towards Komi like a flash of lightning, jumping to grab the shirt as it slipped off the top of her head. Yamai almost got the shirt until she got a look at Komi’s chest. Komi was still going braless thanks to the shirt, so Yamai got the full show and passed out mid-flight.

While all the girls ran to check up on her, Komi finished changing and left the locker room.

“Damn it, we wasted that opportunity,” Manbagi muttered.

“I got something good out of it…” Yamai muttered before passing out again.

“Hey, we have a problem,” Nakanaka said, holding up something for everyone to see. It was the cursed shirt.

The remaining girls walked out of the locker room and found Tadano staring off into the horizon, keeping an eye on Komi. “Hey, we got good news and bad news. The good news is that we got the shirt back, the bad news is that it looks like she doesn’t need it anymore.” Manbagi said, tossing Tadano the shirt.

“We noticed.” He said, gesturing to the sand graves of the other boys in the group. “I have no idea what we should do now.”

“Maybe we should try ripping it?” Najime suggested, grabbing the shirt and pulling as hard as they could. Despite stretching a far distance, no rips began to form in the shirt.

“Let me see that,” Katai said, taking the shirt and pulling with all his might. Even with the increase in strength, the shirt wouldn’t tear. Soon, everyone was pulling on the shirt with all their might, and yet there was still no rip.

“Jeez, where did you even get this thing Najime?” Tadano asked after everyone exhausted their energy.

“I found it in a random pawn shop, I thought it was funny,” Najime responded.

Tadano sighed and looked at the shirt in his hand. “I’ve got one last idea, we have the stuff for our bonfire tonight right?” He asked.

“Yep, we got it set up a little earlier today,” Shinobino responded, pointing to a large pile of wood on the beach.

“Then we make one last attempt when we start the fire. Until then, let’s have some fun as we planned.” Tadano told the others, stuffing the shirt into a pocket of his swimsuit.

The day was pretty fun for everyone. People swam in the ocean, some played volleyball, and some of the guys even dug a massive hole in the sand. Soon, the sun set below the horizon, and the fire was set.

“Okay guys, I have to get going. I need to study for the makeup test that I bombed. Has anyone seen my shirt?” Komi asked, shocking everyone.

“Uhh, I think you left it in your locker!” Manbagi quickly said, pointing to where their stuff was located.

“Thanks!” Komi shouted, before walking away.

Panic began to set in the group as Komi walked away. “Tadano! Throw it in now!” Manbagi whispered shouted to the boy.

Tadano nodded before pulling out the shirt, staring into the fire. He raised his arm and got ready to throw when he heard someone yell “What are you doing to my shirt!” Everyone turned to see Komi screaming at them. She began to run towards them like a predator chasing its prey. Tadano didn’t hesitate and tossed the shirt into the roaring fire.

Many things happened at once. The group by the fire covered their eyes as the shift went up in flames, the light getting brighter than it should, Komi-san fell to the floor as soon as the shirt hit the flames, the sliver in her hair returning to its normal black sheen.

“Komi!” Tadano shouted, going to help his fallen friend when he was suddenly met by a wall made of the girls in the group.

“Let Manbagi handle this Tadano, we don’t know how Komi will handle this.” Nakanaka told him bluntly.

“Komi, are you okay?” Manbagi asked as Komi stirred back to life.

Komi sat up and shook her head, clearing the fog that was inside it. She looked around at her friends, wondering why they were so concerned for her. She looked down to see her swimwear before a big blush of embarrassment took over her face. While a bikini wasn’t outside of Komi’s comfort zone, wearing one this revealing was, and what was worse was that it seemed too big for her! It was currently hanging limply in front of her chest. She quickly grabbed the towel Manbagi offered her and looked around. She found a stick and began to write in the sand. “What happened?”

“It’s a long story, I’ll tell you later,” Manbagi told her, helping Komi to her feet. “For now, let’s get you dressed, I brought an extra shirt for you.”

Everyone watched them walk toward the locker room and let out a sigh of relief. They soon returned and the group put out the fire, making their way to the train station to head home for the night.

Tadano and Komi sat next to each other, trying their hardest not to make eye contact. The silence was broken by the telltale sound of Komi writing on her notepad. “Manbagi told me the whole story. I’m sorry if I caused you any trouble these past few days.”

“Oh no it’s fine Komi, things were just a little weird for a little bit,” Tadano reassured her.

“I still feel bad, I’m just glad you were able to help me. There is one thing that still bothers me though.” She wrote.

“What’s that Komi-san?” Tadano asked.

“Manbagi wouldn’t explain why I was wearing a bikini that was too big for me. Do you know why? I know the shirt was making me act weird but I don’t remember everything.” She asked.

Tadano's face slowly turned red as he remembered Komi’s enhanced chest. His saving grace came when the train reached his station. “I’m not sure, well this is my stop, gotta go, I’ll see you in class Komi-san!” Tadano sputtered, wheeling his way out of the train car, leaving a confused Komi-san on the train.
