Ruby sat on her bunk in the beacon dorm room, kicking her legs idly as her sister picked up their dog. “Alright, I’m off to see dad and Uncle Qrow. Are you sure you don’t wanna come?”

“Yeah, I really gotta study for Dr.Oobleck’s next test.” Ruby said, staring at the textbook on her pillow.

“Alright, suit yourself. I’ll tell them you said hi.” Yang said, closing the door behind her.

Ruby gave it a few seconds before jumping down from her bed in excitement. Ruby Rose had the dorm room all to herself for three days. The other three members of team RWBY were heading home for the weekend to see their families which included her crush Blake. Ruby would normally join her sister for the trip home but there was two reasons she stayed back this time. The first was because she actually needed to study for that test, and she would (she wouldn’t). The second reason was currently being pulled out from Ruby’s desk. She pulled out a small case with an orange dust crystal with a picture to the side of it.

Ruby was fascinated with transformation dust. It was a new type of dust that Weiss’s family’s company had found and started to push it out. Ruby didn’t really understand the science of it when Weiss explained it to them, she just really enjoyed watching and feeling herself change into different things and people. During her off-time, Ruby actually worked at a cafe where she would transform into a character for that week’s theme. One of the perks of working there was getting to pick from the company that produced the completed transformation crystals from their full catalog for personal use for free once a month. Usually Ruby would pick something small that she could go around town in but with all the girls gone for the weekend, she decided to go with a big one that she’d been keeping an eye on.

It was in the “Alien” category, a beast made up by the marketing team. It was a big four legged creature with bright orange fur. One of the most interesting parts of the creature was that it seemingly had no eyes, and gill like openings on the sides of its neck. With nothing else holding her back, Ruby activated her aura around the dust crystal which slowly began to disintegrate. Ruby ran over to the mirror in their bathroom and watched as her black and red hair slowly began to turn orange strand by strand. Her hair was also getting rough and out of control. By the time it was done changing, Ruby had a bright orange mop of hair. “Wow, I could pass as Nora’s sister like this.” Ruby mused to herself while running her fingers through her hair. As Ruby pulled her hand back, she noticed her nails were darkening.

Ruby watched as her hands began to shift, getting slightly bigger while her nails began to grow out into sharp claws. She enjoyed the numb feeling coming from her pinkies as they shrunk back into her hands. Orange fur began to poke out of Ruby’s hands turned paws, crawling up and coating most of her forearms in fur. She felt more tingling as fur covered her back and her legs.

Ruby began to sweat as the fur was really keeping her warm. “I should take off my clothes, it’s not like anyone can see in the window.” Ruby said to herself, using her claws to tear off the ratty clothes she had picked for this occasion. The clothes dropped to the floor to reveal Ruby’s pale skin covered in patches of orange fur, her privates thankfully being covered by a big orange bush for now. Ruby also noticed that her body looked a little bulkier, her shoulders were a bit broader while her arms were bigger as well. While Ruby was focusing on her upper body, she noticed her small breasts begin to recede into her body while fur sprouted and covered her chest, connecting with the hair on her arms and back.

Ruby took a deep breath, deeper that she usually could as her body was changing on the inside. Her breaths sounder more raspy, and her noises had a lower tone. “This is so cool!” Ruby said in a rough voice, one that excited her further. Ruby smiled in the mirror and noticed her mouth changing. Her tongue was getting longer and her teeth were getting sharper by the second, slobber starting to accumulate near the corners of her mouth. Ruby’s smile also began to jut out as her lower jaw pushed forward to give her an underbite that showed off her sharp teeth.

Ruby figured this was as good a time as any to move back into the main dorm room, having to twist her upper body to get out of the bathroom. She had been told by one of her coworkers who had used this crystal before that at this point, her eyes would disappear. True to their word, Ruby’s eyes, ears, and nose began to shrink away as fur sprouted on her face where her orifices used to be. Ruby was drowned in darkness, she had no way to see, hear, or smell the world around her so she just stayed still. Ruby then felt slits open up on her neck, her sense of smell and hearing not only returning but being better than before. Ruby began to sniff the air while taking a tentative step, finding that her smell and hearing were making a very basic map of their dorm. “This is so-“ Ruby began to say before a smell caught her attention. Her sense mapping started to form a figure with cat ears approaching her door, one that matched the figure of her teammate Blake Belladonna.

Ruby began to panic, Blake was supposed to be on a ship heading to see her family! Ruby was now half dog creature, didn’t look or sound like herself, and was in a girls dorm. Ruby’s mind began to race, trying to figure out what to do when the door suddenly unlocked.

Blake Belladonna had finished studying for the upcoming test and was now heading back to her dorm room to pack for her trip home. She was supposed to heading home right now but that test was supposed to be a tough one. She sighed as she unlocked the door, wondering what Ruby was doing. When she opened the door she expected Ruby to be there, not a bipedal orange beast.

Ruby looked towards the door, not a good move in hindsight, and saw Blake. Her increased hearing telling Ruby that Blake was about to scream her lungs out. “Blake wait! It’s me, Ruby!”

Blake was surprised that this thing could speak, and even know who she was. “How can I be sure? Ruby Rose is a adorable short girl, not a lanky orange creature.” She asked.

Ruby’s heart fluttered at the fact that her crush found her adorable, but quickly tampered that down as she had to focus. “I’ll tell you how we met!” Ruby said, scrambling to the best idea she had. “We met on the landing area where I blew up Weiss Schnee when I sneezed dust!”

Blake let out the air that she didn’t even know she was holding in. “Ruby? That’s really you?” Blake said, closing and moving away from the door.

“In the flesh, or fur I guess.” Ruby said with a deep laugh.

“How? Why? What are you even becoming?” Blake asked, still keeping some distance from Ruby.

“The how and why might be too long for me to explain because I might be loosing my vocal cords soon.” As if to further her point, a loud pop suddenly filled the room. Ruby’s elbows suddenly bent forward, her arms shifted back, her legs bending as she feel to the floor, her skeletal structure fixing itself to make Ruby a quadruped.

“Does Yang or Weiss know about this?” Blake asked while she could still get answers out of Ruby.

“No… and I’d kinda like to keep it that way?” Ruby said, subtly asking that Blake kept her secret. Fur was rapidly coating the rest of Ruby’s body.

Blake rolled her eyes and finally got close enough to touch Ruby. “Fine, but we’ll need to talk about this when you change back.” Blake said, scratching Ruby where her ear would’ve been.

As soon as Blake started scratching, Ruby was in heaven. She wasn’t sure if it was the small amount of instincts they put into these crystals that was making her feel this way or just the way it felt but Ruby loved it. Ruby began thumping her leg without even thinking about it, leaning into Blake’s hand. “Thanks Blake! You’re the best!” Ruby said through her increased panting, her tongue rolling out as she finished her sentence.

Blake giggled at what was basically a cute puppy version of Ruby and looked at her leg that was bouncing up and down. She could actually see Ruby’s foot finish changing, a different detail becoming noticeable whenever her foot hit the ground. Thud, her foot only had four toes left. Thud, her foot only had three toes with blackened nails. Thud, her feet were covered in her orange fur and had long claws. Blake stopped scratching Ruby and began to walk towards her bunk when something caught her attention.

On the floor near the bunks was the picture Ruby had with the dust crystal. On the back was a guide of how her change would go, written by Ruby’s coworker. Blake looked down the list and saw she just passed stage four aka, nearly complete. What really intrigued Blake was what was included in stage five. “Ruby, did you know that this was a male dog… alien thing?”

Ruby froze, she had completely forgotten about it. She was so focused on calming down Blake that she forgot that she was about to have a massive alien dog dong. Now she was gonna look like a deviant in front of her crush.

Ruby was feeling a rush of emotions. She was scared out of her mind on where this was going, she was mad that Blake was actually treating her like a dog and that it was working. She didn’t want to give in to Blake and give her the power of calling Ruby a bad girl, but at the same time she didn’t want to be a bad girl. She wanted Blake to call her a good girl.

Ruby reluctantly stood up and turned to Blake, letting her see what had already grown in. Dangling between Ruby’s hind legs were a hefty set of testicles and a furry sheath. Blake chuckled as Ruby responded to her questions, but she thought it was time to bring out the real questions on her mind. “Okay Ruby. Do you have a crush on me?”

Ruby froze, she was mortified that Blake knew about her crush and she had to tell her like this. She slowly put her paw down once, drooping her head down along with it.

“I’m flattered Ruby… did you know that I have a crush on you?” Blake asked. Ruby’s head suddenly shot up, excitedly tapping her paw twice. “It’s true, I think you’re cute. I love it when you run around with a lot of energy. I love it when you do that cute little pout that you do when you talk to Yang sometimes.” Blake told her, a massive blush crossing her face.

Ruby was ecstatic, her crush liked her back. Ruby went to kiss her but forgot one little thing.

Blake watched Ruby rush forward and drag her tongue across her face. “Ruby! Ruby! Calm down! We can kiss normally once you change back!” Blake said, laughing between Ruby’s barrage of wet slobbery kisses. “But for now, let’s have some fun since you’ve been a good girl… or guy since you got that.” Blake said, looking between Ruby’s legs at the above average dick she was sporting.
