Quinn felt dirty. An evening of "serving " drinks had made her feel like she needed to shower in bleach. The outfit, Cindy's constant comments, the feeling up it was not the best evening of magic she had ever had. Finally the club and closed and Cindy had indeed left her as threatened chained to the bar. At least after much muffled pleading around the gag Quinn had got her to remove the higher set of the cuffs around her arms.. Her shoulders were still aching.
Quinn looked over to the FBI aggent still nailed to the wall like a piece of art. It confirmed her thinking, she had to try and get them both out of there before things got even worse for them both. Unbeknown to the bimbo gangset begging to have those cuffs removed had been the part of her plan, such as it was, that everything else hinged on.
Quinn was counting on the magic she had been suffering behing something intrinsic to her that Matt had done before she had set out on this adventure. Certainly she had never been or felt the least bit magical without Matt being involved before. If she was wrong then her and the agent were probably trapped, with no choice but to wait for a rescue. But Quinn was determined to tale back the initialtive. She was fed up with bein a victim, besides she had a story to file.
Quinn took a deep breath. If she was wrong and this first step didnt work it was game over for the whole plan. She rolled her shoulders then pressed down on the top of the trolley, her hands still cuffed behind her back. She visualised the join between her and the trolley giving up and pushed again. And again. She closed her eyes imaging the outcome she wanted, needed. Success! She felt the cut surface of her body at the waist lift from the trolley. She pushed again and braced herself and her upper half toppled over onto the top of the trolley. Quinn composed herself, her heart was racing but she needed to keep calm. On a whim she closed her eyes and visualised the cuffs at her wrists disappearing. Nothing. She tried again, her face wrinkling with concetration. Again no effect, the cuffs remained stubbonly in place.
Quinn shrugged and rolled her truncated form onto her front. She arched her back a little and easily passed her cuffed hands under the cut of her waist so they were infront of her. She looked around and then with a couple of steps her seperated legs moved the trolley closer to the bar. With some more wriggling and rolling Quinn managed to reach the keys to the cuffs, which were on the bar where Cindy had todssed them. She cried out in celebration and had her hands free in no time.
Getting upright was a bit like doing a press up. It was strange. Quinn was used to being under the influence of magic, but usually it was during a show, more often than not in a box or the like. The weight of just half of her was unfamiliarly light. But it was easy enough to get herself upright on the trolley. Another key meant she could get rid of the gag and its humiliating headdress. She was feeling better already!
"Oh my god that feels good.." Quinn stretched her jaw and started to compose herself for the next stage. Pushing her hands down on the trolly top she turned so she could see her lower half. She closed her eyes and visualised it coming free from the wretched trolley and concentrated. Sure enough she felt a tingle then a shiver then her lower half was free . She stood it upright, her back muscles singing in relief. Next she had to re unite her two halves. This would need some thought, she didn't want to miss or fall over. In the end she decided simple was best, stood alongside the troleey and then with a combination of lifting and shuffling she managed to line up her two halves. For what seemed like minutes nothing happened then another tingle and she was whole once more. She could have lept for joy, but she was still in a mess. She needed a clear head.
She walked around the room a few times, found the light switch and took stook. She couldn't find the keys to the bondage harness get up she was dressed in. She could take the boots off but frankly she wasn't sure the seedy club was somewhere she wanted to be wandering around in bare feet. All those things she could worry about later. What she did have was a frightened agent nailed to the wall, a lifetime supply of booze and a closet full of magic props. Plus a locked door and no windows, she must be in a basement.
"Focus Quinn, focus..." She walked carefully over to the bar and found a bottle opener and a pocket knife. She tottered back across the room pulling the trolley towards Sheena .
"OK lets get you down from there.. yes its ok we will get out of here, somehow ... easy, I know , be calm I am trying to help.... "
Quinn's soothing monlogue for maybe an hour as she worked gently to pry out the spikes holding Sheena to the wall without causing more discomfort than she had to. Finally the last one came free and she lowered the half agent to the trolley. Sheena seemed more relaxed but Quinn wouldn't have bet on it, which made what she had decided to do next seem even worse.
"OK Sheena, I have to tell it like it is. We are still locked in the place, wherever the hell it is. No way of getting the doors open, I can't find another exit, and I don't know when those wanna be criminal masterminds will be back. If at all. They have the diamonds. I have had a look around and there isn't much to help us, but I need to get you out as the least..."
Sheena looked wide eyed. Quinn wa sure that if she could talk the agent would be saying no, but Quinn had to take the lead here.
"I have a plan but it will feel like things are getting worse not better. You have to trust me. At least one of us needs to get out. .."
Sheena blinked her eye madly but Quinn had made her mind up. She took a shiny blue cloth covered in gold stars and layed it over the stricken Sheena. She closed her eyes and once again visulised hat she wanted the magic she was sure they had been infused with to do. Then she began to rub and push. It felt odd, almost like giving a massage. She could feel Sheena twitch and shake, stiffening in panic, but she pressed on. Gradually the cloth began to smooth and sink lower to the surface as Quinn's hands glided over and over each inch, in what Quinn hoped were soothing movements. Finally she felt she was done and pulled the cloth away. As she had hoped Sheena, well her half of Sheena was now as flat as a sheet of paper.
"Sorry Sheena, really, I hate being flattened, but it might be our only chance to get one of us out at least...."
Quinn carefully folded waht was left of Sheena up and slipped her into an envelope.. She wrote the address for Matt's workshop on the envelope and sealed it, before slipping it half way down a pile of post behind the bar.
"Lets hope they take that to the post office without look at it all, and lets hope they accept unpaid mail and she doesnt get left in a sorting depot forever, but at least she has a chance of getting out...Now, how the hell do I escape .."
