Penny looked at the parcel excitedly, took a sip of her wine and went ahead and ripped apart the wrapping. Inside was a plain box. She opened that to reveal a shiny new phone. Wow. Thats a heck of a gift. She picked it up, its cool glass front was free from any framing in the modern way. The back had a warm feel, smooth and ever so slightly soft to the touch, its pink mottled effect was unusual and reminded her of... 

Penny plugged the new phone onto the charge cable while she went to get her old iphone, check her contacts and the like were backed up and that she had all her passwords. When she finally powered her new toy up she was still impressed. It looked like a custom operating system, android based maybe. The first home screen was pre set just how she liked it. Clock, and icons for phone, mail, browser and whats app at the bottom. She swiped right to reveal a nice selection of apps, camera, photo editing, sat nav etc. Another right swipe revealed her music and video apps. The phone had indeed been set up thoughtfully.As she swiped back she noticed for the first time that the wall paper, a rather provocative picture of her girlfriend Jean wearing the lingerie she had bought her, was animatied, it seemed to shiver and writhe with each touch. 

Swiping right once more reveled what might be considered her kinky collection. Discourse, DA and the like. A final swipe revealed what seemed to be a personal assistant screen. She toggled it on. 

"Hi I am your new phone, Jean. " 

Penny giggled in delight. This was so so cool, Jean must have somehow had her voice added to the phone . That must have taken ages, so clever. After a few minutes of setting up wifi and bluetooth and the like Penny realised she ought to get on with her day.She glanced at her watch and went to get a shower, plugging the charger in once more. She could have sworn she felt a pulse of the vibrate function as she did.

"Jean, play some chill out music..." Penny giggled as her new phone started to stream a playlist as she made a coffee and fired up her laptop. Then it occurred to her that these assistant things usually had some cute jokes and the like built in.

"Jean whats the best magic trick..."

"Well its a flattening of course" 

"Jean who's your favourite magician?"

"Has to be Matt doesn't it"

Penny was impressed by how natural the conversational tricks were.

"Jean how on earth did you arrange this ? "

"Haven't you worked it out yet ? " 

"What do you mean ? Worked it .. Jean ? Jean ... is that actually you ? "

"Hell yeah.... Matt did wonders huh ?" 

"Oh My God !! How ? Why ?? What ?? "

Penny ran over to the phone and looked at it in wonder. But Jean didn't answer. Then it struck Penny, she hadn't said Jean ... 

"jean, this is so freaky"

"I know"

"Jean are you ok ? "

"I am, I must admit this has worked a little better than I had imagined. "

"Jean can you answer if I don't start a question with Jean? "

"Only if you have the Jean page open. Otherwise I am locked into the phone system and only work as that."

"Oh. My. God.!"  Penny swiped to the Jean homepage.

"Better ? " 

"Yes my love " 

"You are crazy, you  know Matt always takes things to the extreme..."

"I know, but its fun, I think. " 

"How does it feel, what's it like to be a phone !"

"I don't know where to begin ..""

"The beginning I guess" 

And so Jean explained everything, from the beginning. 

Matt had thought about her brief for a couple of days then dropped by. He asked her to get undressed while he unpacked a brand new phone. Having checked she was definitely sure she wanted to be a phone and run through what she wanted installed on it Matt had simply handed her the phone and counted down from three. On one everything had ceased to exist and Jean was unaware of anything at all until Penny had booted the phone up. They worked out that she had been packed and shipped and then left waiting for the big day to be opened so had somehow lost three whole days. 

Working together they worked out the reality of Jean's new form. Off meant off, Jean had no consciousness at all. It freaked her out a bit. Standby meant she could hear, presumably to listen out for a "jean" command. When Penny used other apps, it was if Jean was in the app. So she heard both sides of a call, could "read" whats app messages and emails and if Penny viewed a video or website then that's what Jean could see too. The only time she could see her surroundings beyond whatever was displayed on the screen was if Penny used the camera, or the "Jean" page was on, in which case she seemed to see through the selfie camera.

Penny really did have total control over Jean as she would a real gadget, which the couple found thrilling and a bit scary. Aside from when the Jean app was in use it really was like any other phone from Penny's point of view. 

"But how does it feel ? " Penny was asking question after question.

"its very very hard to describe lover, it feels a bit like being compressed and shrunk. Its as if the back of the phone is made of a sensitive part of me, thigh of breast maybe. So i can feel you hold me, or if I am in your bag, even in stand by mode. Its nicely tingly. The screen is much more sensitive. Every swipe or press feels as if its on a nipple perhaps. It feels wonderful, and feels good to know I am being used somehow. Oh, and the charger... well it feels as if you have plugged something in between my legs..." 

Jean gave the shy giggle that Penny loved so much.

"So while I am charging you are feeling like you are being .. "

"Yup, really intense when I am being charged on stand by" Jean giggled again. "

All too soon Penny had to go to work and she stuffed her new phone in her bag. The day seemed to last forever, she couldnt help wondering how Jean felt runbling around inside the bag, being used for calls and messages. Lunchtime came. Penny was nervous of using the jean app in public so sat in a cafe reading the news on the screen. Home tome came at last and Penny plugged the phone in for a charge top up while she showered and changed. Finally she flopped onto the sofa and swiped right to get Jean 

"Good day lover" 

"This is so weird, I should have expected Matt to exceed the brief. Its a little scary to be so at your mercy, at your service too."

"One thing I didnt ask, how long are you going to be a phone for ? "

"Well as you have a monthly deal on your phone Matt thought it would be fun if you had the option to restore me at the end of each month when the renewal reminder comes through, seems fitting as I am a phone now"

"Interesting"

Penny smiled nervously and swiped left, looking at so new magic uploads on youtube, her heart racing. She wondered how she could break it to her Jean phone she had switched to an annual contract last week.
