Lisa slid out of Matt's SUV grinning from ear to ear. She was really looking forward to this, a show where she knew roughly what was going to happen, a cool costume and then a chance to see a movie. She couldn't recall last time she watched one. Well not whole anyway.
The curtains rose to the opening bars of John Williams iconic score. The stage was dimly lit, swirling smoke glowing a dull red. A young man entered, dressed as a Jedi, tan tunic and pants and brown boots. He stalked cautiously across the stage appearing to peer into the gloom.
The music changed and was almost drowned out by a deep hum which the audience could feel shake their seats. A beautiful young women appeared at the edge of the gloom seemingly from nowhere. If her figure and good looks were attention grabbing then her outfit was a show stopper for the predominately young male audience. Her long shapely legs were clad in black thigh high boots. She wore a tiny mini skirt and a dull metal strapless bikini top struggled to contain her generous curves. The costume was competed by a inky black cowl and cape, the hood pulled over her head shading her red brown locks and wicked smile.
"You thought you could hide from me Sith ?"
"I have no need to hide, Jedi. Your powers are weak, no match for the majesty of the dark side".
"You know I have to stop you"
"Then prepare to die".
The young jedi jumped back and a lightsabre burst to life in his hand, shimmering with an incandescent blue white light.. The gorgeous sith stepped forward into the space her own lightsabre igniting a blood red. The jedi took guard, holding his weapon two handed high above his head. The red blade thrust towards him, from left to right but he parried easily. Again and again the sexy dark warrior pressed home her attack but the jedi blocked each blow with a loud crash and crescendo of sparkling energy from the crossed blades.
The man parried a low horizontal blow and thrust forward, the audience holding their collective breath as it seemed certain his blue white blade would skewer the siths toned bare tummy. At the last moment she lept back and up and seemed to hover some 10 feet above the stage. Hanging in the air above the jedi she reached out her hand and a torrent of red lightning lept out. The jedi rolled back deflecting the onslaught of evil energy with frantic swipes of his sabre but it seemed only a matter of time before his defence failed.
The sith glided lightly to the floor and pressed home another attack with her red blade. However she had been too hasty, too confident of her powers. The jedi feigned left, ducked and swept his blade through 180 degrees catching his foe mid back. There was a blinding red light and the girl vanished, her dark cloak fluttering to the floor apparently empty.
The jedi stepped froward poking the empty robe with his blade. Looking around uncertainly it seemed his opponent had indeed been defeated. He tipped a salute with his blade then extinguished it and turned to leave the stage to huge applause. At the last second there were heavy footsteps and a forboding chord change and he spun back to see his quarry return. Or at least it seemed to be her, now dressed from head to toe in a skin tight suit of body armour in the deepest black. Although it was tight enough to appear sprayed on it shimmered in the light like metal, red highlights picking out the joints. It certainly followed every curve. She wore a black helmet which concealed her head completely eyes covered with dull red lenses and a rictus mesh grin for a mouth.
"Don't be too fast to assume victory, Jedi scum. You think you have struck me down but I have become more powerful than you can imagine."
The jedi's only reply was to ignite his ancient sabre once more and press home another attack. The desperate duel ranged across the stage, deafening blows causing showers of red and blue sparks to canon around the auditorium. The fight ebbed and flowed each protagonist pressing home an attack one minute, then pushed back to parry and defend. The jedi seemed to be losing. As one vertical strike forced him to his knees the red lightning once more sprung from the sith's finger tips and for an instant he was enclosed in a shimmering red haze. But somehow he regrouped, holding out his free hand, palm towards his antagonist. The red energy withdrew and he pushed back deflecting it from his outstretched palm. The sith warrior staggered back caught off guard by the reversal. She paused for a second and the jedi leapt forward and with a single blow severed the masked head from the armoured body.
A hush hung over the theatre as the severed head rolled away in a lazy spiral. The armoured body seemed to stand for several seconds then collapsed. As it hit the floor the suit sprang open revealing the very real looking body of the young women. Small black discs covered her pert nipples and she seemed to be wearing a tiny black thong, otherwise the headless body was quite bare bar the remnants of the suit laying on it.
The jedi walked over to the helmet and tapped it with his toe. A gentle hiss and a click followed, then the mask slowly opened like a book. The jedi looked for a moment then bent down and lifted the girl's head from the wrecked helmet by a handful of hair. He held it high over his head in a triumphant salute to the cheers of the audience. The head looked amazingly real but was lifeless with closed eyes. All of a sudden unseen by the celebrating jedi the eyes snapped open and an evil grin returned to the bewitching face. As the lights went down it seemed to wink.
"I told you you would get a great view of the movie" Matt grinned. Lisa rolled her eyes and mumbled. They were in the projectionists booth high at the back of the theatre. To be accurate Lisa's head was, balanced on the ledge looking into the room. She couldnt reply as her mouth was forced wide open by a fat metal tube. Closer inspection showed this was actually a lens, a chromatic beam of light exiting it towards the huge screen at the far end of the room. Mat stroked Lisa's hair tenderly then settled in to watch the movie.
As expected the movie was an even bigger hit than the show. For many fans the icing on the cake was the almost naked sith lady struggling to free itself from the cross to which it was chained in lobby as they excited. The helmet had been replaced, disguising the fact the body was actually still headless ....
