It is a long-held truth that greatness comes in threes. So it was with the liberation of the New World. The year was 1720, when a revelation bestowed itself unto three individuals.
The first vision came to an adoptive family of black slaves bound to the Harvey plantation in Carolina. Together, using the ancestral ways taught to them by their matriarch, they raised a guarding mist in the dead of night so the three strongest of them could make their way north through the backwaters and deep woods. Thus was it that the spirit walkers Joshua, Caleb, and Ephraim reached the table.
The second vision came to a white woman on board the /Sprite/, a pirate vessel from Nassau Town. She requested that her crew undertake a journey north along the coast, and that they form a shore party to journey inland. As she had long and loyally served the crew as their auguress, they agreed. Thus was it that the water witch Agatha Hawthorne reached the table.
The third vision came to a woman of the Onondaga, in her lodge on the shore of Lake Ontar'io. She roused her tribe to build a new longhouse and lay in provisions for a great meeting. Thus it was that the medicine woman Mother of Fire laid the table.
When the longhouse was ready, the visitors arrived, and the Libertalia Accord was first forged.
Fifty years have passed since that day, since the first brick was laid on the road that led us to our nation. We have stood united with our sisters and brothers for fifty years, united against the will of the empires of Europe.
And now, word reaches us from across the sea. The empires of Europe dream again of conquest, and they have laid a table of their own. The Union of Libertalia must go to war.
