Trina and her duplicates followed Lara into their kitchen. "So exactly what kind of art project did you have in mind?" said Trina.

"Spoilers," said Lara. "You'll see it when I do. Now, it's just your two duplicates that have the remote modularity upgrades, right? You didn't get it done yourself?"

"Oh, no way," said Trina. She had only ever gotten her legs upgraded, and just cosmetically with blue lines of sparkling lights at that, but she'd had them for ages. These cybernetic
duplicates were the first thing she'd gotten upgraded in a while. "I haven't gotten nearly as major upgrades as you have. Not yet, anyway."

"Well, then I'll really only be needed the three of us for this," said Lara, draping her arms around the shoulders of Trina's dupes. One of them was metallic and faintly pink, with more exaggerated contours, and the other one was shaded more blue, with curves more like Lara's. All three of Trina's bodies were still dressed in their costumes from their Alice in Wonderland roleplay. "You can go and have a lie-down if you don't want to keep all three of you running at once. Unless you like to watch, of course."

"Oh, I think I'm going to want as many eyes on this as I can get," said Trina through her blue duplicate, as the pink one ran her fingers over Lara's midsection. "I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with." Trina hopped her original body up onto the counter, crossed her sparkly blue legs, and pulled a bottle of wine and a glass down from a shelf. She also grabbed a shot glass and a bottle of the synthetic syrup made for people like Lara with cybernetic digestion.

"Good idea," said Lara. She took the glass, and Trina poured her a dose, followed by a more than generous amount of wine into her own glass.

"What is this, a race?" said Lara.

"Hey, I'm drinking for three over here," said Trina.

"I don't think the control upgrade transmits BAC," said Lara.

"Are you here to talk, or are you here to get creative?" said Trina. "Bottoms up."

They clinked glasses and drank. Lara spun her glass around and set it down on the counter with a thunk as Trina started refilling hers.

"Speaking of bottoms," said Lara, turning and pointing to Trina's blue dupe, "go ahead and get yours on up here." She patted the large central island in the kitchen.

In contrast to Trina's pink dupe, skinned in metal with exposed joints where the rigid plates met, her blue dupe had a more realistic skin covering, although it was a little more firm, more like rubber than flesh. She was still wearing the clingy number from before, too, somewhere on the spandex-latex spectrum. The only way to tell her skin from her clothes was by color.

Trina's blue dupe strolled over to the island and hopped up on it. "All right, Lara," she said, "what do you have for me?"

"First of all," said Lara, "let's get those out of the way."

Lara reached up to one of Trina's shoulders and gave a squeeze, and the arm popped off. She set the arm down on the island, and then she set the other one next to it, leaving her with an armless torso. She then grabbed Trina around the waist and pulled gently toward her, and Trina's top half came off at the waist. Lara carried her top half over to a stool and set it on top like a shimmering blue statue.

"Is this your idea?" said Trina. "You're going to decorate the apartment with bits of me?"

"It might be a good idea for later," said Lara. "Maybe we can use your arms as coat hooks. I've got something better in mind right now, though."

Trina's blue lower half was still sitting on the island, her feet bouncing up and down. Lara went over to it and idly stroked Trina's thigh as she pondered her next move. Trina's arms were laid on the island with opposite sides up, so one hand was drumming its fingers on the countertop and the other was flexing its fingers in and out with the palm facing up.

"All right, you know what?" said Lara. She turned toward Trina's pink metallic dupe. "Your turn. I need you to give me a hand."

Lara popped the hands off of Trina's pink dupe and laid them on another part of the counter. She then removed her own right hand and put it on the end of Trina's right arm, and then she removed her own right arm and put Trina's in its place, with her own right hand on the end of it. She did the same thing again with the other arm, leaving her with pink shaped metal from her shoulders to her wrists.

"Yeah," said Lara, feeling her new arms. "I like the look of that. Now I need you to join yourself up here on the operating table."

Trina walked, armless, over to the island, but it was hard for her to climb up without arms. Lara grabbed her blue dupe's arms and attached them. "Here, let me give you a hand with that."

"All right, that's enough of that," said Trina from her original body, nearly done with her first glass of wine. "I think we both need another one." She poured another shot for Lara and another glass for herself. Lara claimed her drink and knocked it back while Trina's pink dupe mounted the island with the blue dupe's arms. The two of them played footsie for a while as Lara approached.

"Oh, I see you had the same idea that I did," said Lara. She swapped the feet of both dupes so that blue feet were attached to pink legs, and then she swapped the legs so that the pink legs were attached to blue hips.

"Ooh, candy stripes," said Trina. "I like."

"Then you're going to love this," said Lara. She lifted the pink dupe's chest free from her midriff and set it on a stool next to the blue dupe's torso, and then she took the pink hourglass midriff and attached it to the blue hips.

"All right," said Lara. "Let's check the balance on this."

She grabbed the blue hips and lifted them off of the island, setting the whole stripey lower half on the floor to stand on its own. It tottered a little, but it was able to stay standing long enough for Lara to lift the other pair of legs up onto the island out of the way. She led the standing pair to a stool and took a seat on it, hooking her ankles into the legs of the stool, and then she lifted her own chest up and onto the top of the midriff.

Lara had kept her own chest so she could breathe properly, and she had her own hands, but her arms, legs, and belly were metallic shiny pink, and her hips and feet were rubbery blue. She twirled a couple of times, trying out her new look.

"Something's still not quite right," she said. "Oh, no, wait. It's obvious."

She still had on her own top, but she was now wearing the tight bottoms that Trina's blue dupe had been wearing. She went over to the stool that held Trina's armless blue torso.

"I need to borrow this."

She lifted the tight top up over Trina's head and past her missing arms, letting her rubbery blue breasts hang loose, and shrugged out of her own top to change clothes. All three of Trina's heads gave whistles and hoots. When Lara was done changing, she was wearing the same clingy costume that Trina had picked out for her blue dupe, the one shaped to match Lara's own build. She sashayed over to where Trina was still sitting on the counter with her wine.

"Well?" said Lara. "What do you think?"

Trina climbed down from the counter, a little shakily after all the wine, and ran her hands up and down Lara's patchwork body. Her fingers dragged over the blue rubber, skidded over the pink metal, and ran smoothly over Lara's own skin.

"The effect is delightful," said Trina, "and the presentation was perfect." She wrapped her arms around Lara and looked around the kitchen, where Trina's various duplicate parts were still scattered around. "But I think we may have to teach you a lesson about cleaning up your toys."

"Cleaning up?" said Lara. She ran a finger down Trina's throat toward her cleavage. "But I'm not done playing with them yet."
