Ok, this is a chapter from a book i was intending to write, and it's massive, so well done if you read this far lol. I've never got much further with the book, i tend to write bits and pieces and then jam it all together. The Cat and the Lilac is the only story i've ever written in the right order lol.

Some things may need explaining. It's set in a Dystopian setting, due to party drugs becoming 'safe' and therefore more commonplace, until they realise that it has an effect on the person and any children they have. Cristina, the main character, for example is a victim of this, her mother was a druggie, and she's therefore 6 foot tall, with ice white skin, purple eyes, completely hairless and much faster and more flexible than normal people. Her almost-boyfriend, best friend, switch, general mischief maker and the only person Cristina will be submissive with, Loke, just happened to take some at a party and ended up with really vibrant red hair and boosted strength.

Anyway, the Government are scared of these altered humans, as well as being extremely racist, leading them to form their own gangs. Some gangs are peaceable most of time, others are hell on legs. Cristina is part of the Blood Hunt, which basically minds it's own buisness but likes to piss off the government.

In the dystopian universe, slavery is also reinstated. Originally the ultimate punishment to deal with overcrowded prisons, it took off like a rocket. The Bloodhunt aren't usually involved, but like rescuing people and occasionally kidnapping. They're basically all like minded people who like bondage and a good time. Luna (Kirsten) was a slave of another gang that Cristina went to give a warning to, and rescued her from being tied up on the bonnet (hood) of a car
