I wonder if our society supported the idea that we could all follow a calling, how often would our calling change? Maybe rather than doing a job based on our skills, we would do things based on a passion. For example, in modern society, one might say, “I work for the paper, because I have good writing skills.” If we could follow a calling, maybe we’d say, “I worked on the newspaper, movies, comics, a rock band, and as a history professor because I have a passion for storytelling.”

I have no idea why my stories, so often, resort to strange communication patterns. I guess it’s kind of fun.
