My semi-recreation of the cover from &#8220;The Erotic Worlds of Frank Thorne&#8221;, number 4, featuring the artist&#8217;s raunchy sci-fi secret-agent action-woman, Lann.<br /><br />Her first appearance was in a few issues of <i>Heavy Metal</i> magazine in the latter part of 1984. But after five instalments, the story was abandoned, unfinished. Was the plot considered a little too heavily sexual, even for <i>Heavy Metal</i>?<br /><br />The answer was &#8220;yes&#8221;, as revealed when the complete story was finally published ten years later by Eros Comix. This was after her reappearance in the abovementioned publication, from the same publisher, dated January 1991, in an entirely different adventure.
