Rotationplasty is a most remarkable operation: normally when a limb is amputated, everything beyond the amputation point is lost. But in this procedure, the outer part is salvaged and reattached—rather similar to what Salvage Girl underwent, come to think of it. However, I have never heard of rotationplasty being applied in real life to both legs, as it is here.
