Medical science can do some marvellous things nowadays; even amputation need not mean the complete loss of the affected body parts.<br /><br />Here we see two women who have suffered their own respective calamities. The one on the left has lost both her feet and most of her arms. But her hands were still intact. So rather than sacrifice them completely, they were reattached on the ends of her legs. Similarly, the one on the right lost both hands and most of her legs.
