You know, before I had myself changed I was a shy, nerdy girl. I looked after myself and was no slouch in the looks department, but I just didn't really talk to most people. And in return, a lot of people didn't talk to me.
Oh I got cat-calls, and the occasional guy would proposition me when I picked up my games or comics, but for the most part I was left alone.
Now that I'm a hot piece of plastic, I thought that would change, but I'm even more alone in my usual hangouts. The staff know me, and are willing to help me recharge if I need it, but even customers I was friendly with stay away.
Is my new look too intimidating? It's funny, now that I'm a mannequin they'd have a better shot of spending some time with me, and yet they all shy away.
Maybe I'll talk to the staff about setting up a stand for me, with a sign that says "please touch the mannequin." Whoever excites me most gets to take me home for a night.
Maybe that still make them approach me.
