"Everyone all right?" asked the compressed mound of clay in the corner of the cavern.

Once spacious and well-lit, the cave was now pitch-black and filled to what was previously the ceiling with rocks and boulders of assorted sizes, leaving no room for Kat, Alyssa, Tara, Rachel, and Lily except for inside the solid rock walls. Or, in Rachel's case, inside part of the clay deposit she unearthed, accidentally causing the cave-in in the process. Thankfully, "inside the solid rock walls" didn't mean being encased in stone with no hope for survival.

"I'm fine," answered Alyssa.

"Yep," said Kat.

"Fine here," announced Lily.

"...Tara? What about you?" worried Alyssa.

"Right here," Tara assured everyone. "Sorry, Rachel already knew I was okay and she's the one who asked, so...yeah."

Kat gasped. "Wait, where's Stacy? Is she okay?"

After a few seconds with no response, Alyssa called her name, to no help.

"...Uh oh," squeaked Kat.

Carefully, Kat tried to leave the wall, only to be stopped by the boulders blocking the way. Moving herself from the wall inside one of the boulders, then from boulder to boulder, she ventured into the room a bit, but turned back and returned to the wall shortly after, not wanting to get lost.

"Hey sis?"

"What's up?" replied Lily.

"You mind telling all these rocks to get out of our way?" Kat suggested.

"Ah, good idea," smiled Lily, always happy to have another opportunity to put her powers to work. "Sand," she commanded, saying only that one word. A bright green light illuminated the entire room, and the sound was like dynamite exploding as the rocks instantly broke apart into tiny grains of sand...as well as clouds of dust that filled the air, prompting everyone to vanish their faces from whatever they were inhabiting before they suffocated.

Their problems were not solved, however, as now the bottom half of the room was filled with sand, likely burying Stacy underneath, not something that could possibly be very helpful to her situation. The top half of the room was filled with more boulders that fell from above the ceiling's former location and landed atop the sand.

"...Maybe it's better if I take care of this," offered Tara after a brief pause. Before long, the room was filled only with sparkles, sparkles which flew into Tara's wall-body and vanished inside.

With the room finally clear, everyone was free to step out from where they were and reclaim their human form.

"Kat, can you see if you can give us some light?" Alyssa requested.

Kat nodded and glowed her hand, producing a bright ball of pink light that hovered in the air.

"Stacy!" gasped Kat, as she ran for the opposite edge of the room. "Oh my god, I was so worried, how were you not crushed under all that?" Kat brushed some of the sand off of her. "You're amazing."

Stacy remained seated on the floor, unresponsive. She was clearly breathing at least.

"Stacy???" cried Kat. "Please tell me you're all right!"

"Are you still meditating?" asked Alyssa hopefully, but unsurprisingly received no response.

"Stacy, please wake up," implored Lily.

Suddenly Stacy's eyes glowed green, and began to open.

"Uhh, whoops, I didn't mean to...wait, I can control people?" gasped Lily.

Stacy coughed up some sand and tried to speak. "There's...no toilets in my hair..." she slurred, clearly out of it. "...Mind being a dragon again?" Her eyes closed once more.

"Let's...not try that again," said Lily.

"Stacy, I really hope you're okay," lamented Rachel. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know it would—"

A loud cracking sound came from the ceiling, prompting Rachel to look up. "Uhh, girls...it l-looks like it's about to c-collapse again!"

"On it!" chirped Kat. With the snap of a finger, she brought into existence a barrier made of energy, which covered the high ceiling to prevent another disaster.

"Nice," Lily complimented.

"Thanks, I'm getting pretty good at this," Kat smiled, twirling a ring of energy around her finger as she thought it into different shapes.

"It's pretty!" said Rachel. "It looks like the sky!" She was right; from below the barrier made it look just like the excavated cavern was open to the night sky, during a bizarre night where the sky glowed an eerie purple and the stars all glided like comets.

"Isn't that your thing, Lyss?" Kat joked, hoping to alleviate some of the situation's tension.

"I'm more of a daytime person," smiled Alyssa.

"Shouldn't we be getting Stacy here to a hospital?" asked Tara.

"Yeah, that's what I was thinking," agreed Lily. "But we need to figure out how to get her out of this cave."

"Hey, I've got an idea!" burst Kat. "Lily, you can have her teleport us there, right? Like when you told her to wake up?"

"You're kidding, right?" objected Lily. "You heard her when she was awake. What if she accidentally sends us to the surface of the sun or something?"

"Yeah, I guess," Kat sighed. "Might not be good for her mental health anyway," she agreed.

"Hey, Alyssa," Rachel changed the topic. "Have you discovered any new powers you have yet?"

Kat gasped in excitement. "Yeah, that's right! I don't think you've tried anything yet, Lyss!"

"You're right!" beamed Alyssa, both excited at the prospect and surprised she had forgotten. "But how do I know what to try?"

"Just try something, I guess," suggested Kat. "Even if you can't do that, maybe you'll discover what you can do. It worked for me."

"Hmm...I guess I'll try what I could do back home again, since I know what that's like." Alyssa knelt down and brushed her hand across the ground, thinking about light blue porcelain.

"Wait...it worked?!" Alyssa exclaimed as she saw the ground turn to the exact color she was thinking of under her hand. The material wasn't exactly the same, but she found she could approximate the look and feel of it near-exactly by changing the type of rock to something more similar. "No way! Does this mean..." Alyssa grabbed the air and attempted once again to open a portal to her home dimension. To her surprise, she actually managed to open a swirling vortex to another place...but as soon as the hole opened even a little bit, the air in the cavern immediately started rushing through the hole into deep space.

"What the hell?" yelped Lily upon hearing the rush of air and feeling her cape tugging on her back.

"O-kay..." With a quick wave of her hand, Alyssa closed the hole.

"No way, Lyss!" cheered Kat. "You got your powers back!"

"Well, to an extent at least," said Alyssa. "Opening that portal was a lot tougher, and I couldn't get it to go to the right place. You saw."

Curious to see to what extent, Alyssa tried another trick she remembered having fun with. Placing her hands on a stalagmite, she willed it to change shape with her touch, and began molding it like clay, appreciating the wonderful way her mere intentions affected the shape more than her exact physical manipulation. Without much skill in sculpting, she could nonetheless create complex designs simply by shaping the material with her hands while imagining the shape she wanted, just like she remembered doing before. Color worked the same way; material appeared to mostly be limited by the composition of the rock, but she could still replicate many different types of rock, and even glass. One thing she found she couldn't do, however, was pull out additional material; whenever she tried she only found it stretching like putty.

"Hey, look at me!" Kat suddenly shouted. Kat was floating in mid-air, surrounded by her now-trademark violet-black glow. With one hand on her hip and her other casually resting at her side as she gently hovered, she looked rather cool.

"You can fly now??" gasped Lily. "No way sis, that's awesome!"

"Couldn't you already fly?" asked Alyssa, looking away from the stalagmite she was working with. "Like when you become air?"

"Yeah, but now I can actually touch things," laughed Kat. "Looks like I won't be needing this anymore." Kat reached into her fanny-pack and pulled out her mini-drone. "Anyone want it?" Kat held it up.

"Ooh, I do!" Rachel sang, holding out her hand toward it. "If I sparklify it then I can—wait, what??" Before everyone's eyes, without Rachel even touching it, the drone sparkled and faded into an ethereal form, and was pulled by an unseen force into Rachel's body.

"Oh—I don't even need to touch it!" Rachel beamed. Smiling, she pointed a finger at Alyssa's stalagmite, which thanks to Alyssa's handiwork no longer resembled a stalagmite, but rather a perfect sphere made of glass in different colors. As soon as she did, it too turned to sparkles and was pulled into Rachel. Striking a pose, Rachel used her newly-collected abilities to turn into a statue made of colored glass. "Cool!" she said, noticing she didn't have to be a statue if she didn't want to, as she could take some of the properties of the glass and some of her own body.

Remembering the drone, Rachel gently lifted into the air. "Yep, I can fly now—thanks Kat!"

Kat winked and made an OK sign with her hand, using her powers to project a larger hand doing the same.

An idea striking her, Tara held out her hand toward Kat's projection, and closed her fist, turning Kat's energy hand into a sparkly purple mist that magically flowed into her.

"Wha—" exclaimed Kat, looking at her hand, which was no longer glowing. "Oh," she said, looking up at Tara, who was now made of sparkly energy herself only blue instead of violet-black.Kat gave a thumbs up, projecting it in the same way, mostly to make sure Tara hadn't accidentally stolen the ability from her. "Can you project things now too?" asked Kat.

"Let me see..." Tara was able to make her hand glow and stretch it out in different shapes, but it wasn't too useful as she couldn't extend anything very far. She didn't find much to do with it that she couldn't already do by turning into clay. Though in this form, she could look all cosmic and sparkly, and leave shimmering blue trails whenever she moved, which pleased her to no end.

"You look awesome, Tara," Lily complimented.

One new thing she could do, however, was hover in mid-air. And, as she found, fly just about as fast as she wanted, much faster than Rachel.

"Kat, can I sparklify some energy too?" asked Rachel.

"No prob," said Kat. holding up her hand and making it glow. As she did, she created a glowing design that hovered above her hand, consisting of multiple concentric stars that spun around.

"Now you're just showing off," laughed Rachel as she held out her finger and gently beckoned the construct inside of her. Now, as she demonstrated, she could turn into energy herself, and fly just as fast.

"Nice," said Tara, regaining her normal form and landing softly on the ground. "Shame you sparklified Kat's flying thing; maybe Alyssa or Lily could have used it."

"I already have one," said Lily. "Pretty much everyone does."

"Let me see if I can get it back," said Rachel, willing the drone to her hand and letting it take the place of her hand, but finding herself unable to separate it from her body. "Nope, sorry Alyssa," she apologized.

Suddenly Kat created a brightly-glowing pink lightbulb above her head, made out of her endlessly-versatile energy. "I know how we can get out of here with Stacy!"

Everyone turned to face her. "Hmm?" said Alyssa.

"Tara, or Rachel, can you fly up to the top of the cavern and dig out a tunnel with your powers?" Kat pointed her hand at the ceiling and opened her fingers, cautiously opening a circular hole in the middle of her barrier. "Just make sure you don't suck up anything on the surface by accident."

"Okay!" beamed Rachel, who shot up to the top of the room in a streak of glittery blue light. Holding her hand above her, Rachel carved through the ceiling, creating sparkles like dust from a mining drill. When water started pouring forth from the hole, to her annoyance, she quickly shot back down to the ground. "Kat? Lily? Can one of you stop this water please?"

Lily was sitting on the ground, idly using her powers to play with the dust on the ground, making it float up in different shapes. "Freeze," she grinned as she looked up from what she was doing, casually holding her hand in the air. When the water instantly turned to ice, Lily wondered just how much water she froze. An entire lake perhaps?

"Ooh, ice could be fun!" Tara energy-dashed over to the pillar of ice that now stood in the center of the cavern and placed her hand on it, pulling the whole pillar inside her hand. "Let's go!" Tara dashed to the top of the now-clear shaft, followed by Rachel.

"I've got Stacy," announced Kat, who floated up after them carrying her on a stretcher made of energy. Lily floated up on a glowing chunk of the ground, and Alyssa blew through as air.

"Umm...where are we?" asked Tara. Unexpectedly, the girls found themselves not at the surface, but rather in a dimly-lit man-made hallway of some sort. Metal doors lined the wall on one side next to a walkable floor, but the other side was clearly designed to provide passage not for people, but for water. Water that was previously flowing out of pipes on the wall and down the corridor, but now stood frozen in its path.

"Is this...a sewer??" Alyssa cringed.

"Doesn't smell like one," said Tara, sniffing the air. "Thank god. After sparklifying that ice...no thank you."

"If it is, what Stacy said might not be true anymore," Rachel joked, pointing out Stacy's damp hair. She felt a little guilty afterwards for making light of Stacy's current situation, having accidentally caused the problem herself.

"...Maybe freezing all that water wasn't the best idea," admitted Lily after seeing the frozen pipes. "I'll take care of that," she smiled, tapping her foot next to the edge of the walkway beneath the guard rail. Instantly the ice turned to water and started rushing once more, making everyone else jump in surprise at the sudden noise.

"Wait," said Kat, noticing the water was once again flowing into the hole. A beam of energy from her index finger solved that problem by forming a sturdy plug that kept the water where it was supposed to be. With the plug in place, she blew the residual glow from her finger like smoke from a pistol.

"Your city's called Facet?" asked Rachel, noticing a sheet of paper pinned to the wall. "That's a pretty name. Makes me think of shimmering crystals," Rachel smiled, turning into a shiny faceted glass sculpture of herself for emphasis.

"What?? Let me see," Lily walked over and inspected the paper for herself, which contained a memo written by an employee of the facility. "Facet Department of Water," she confirmed. "Wow, Facet's like 500 miles away."

"You'd probably like Facet," said Kat, moving her hand slightly back and forth in Rachel's direction to make pink light reflect off of and through her glass body. "Real glitzy, probably just how you're picturing it."

"I want to see!" Tara exclaimed.

"I'm sure we will very soon," said Alyssa.

"Gotta get out of this place first," Lily grimaced. "Here, one sec." Lily focused, her eyes glowed for a few seconds, then faded. "There, now none of the security cameras here will see us," she grinned. "Should make things simpler."
