Time Share: Part Three
Paul double-checked to make sure the panties on his head were perfectly positioned and took his place in the middle of the room. "All right!" He exclaimed, excited. "It's almost dusk, the webcam is hidden and running," He grinned. "This will be great!"
"I'm going to die tonight," Nathaniel told her. Rachel stared at him in shock.
"What?" She said.
"Tonight, I'm going to fight Keyba," Nathaniel continued. "And I'm going to lose."
"Nate," Rachel said. "This isn't the time to be contemplating suicide, we're so close…"
"I'm not being suicidal," Nathaniel replied. "Trust me on this one, hear me out." Rachel crossed her arms, her ears facing him in an "I'm listening" gesture. "I've asked around," He continued. "I've found out what The Master is doing, he's trying to find a way into this… other world."
"The one with humans in it," Rachel said. "Nate, I heard the same information, what does this have to do with your death?"
"A few people have crossed over, and have come back." Nathaniel explained. "How else could we have gotten this information about this other world? They've done the soul-bonding process on some of the humans there." Rachel's eyes widened, putting the pieces together. "I figure, if I can get over into this world, the one with humans in them, I can soul-bond with one of them. If I can do that, I can protect their world from there, and stop The Master's plans."
"Sounds fine and all, but Nate, you know the rules of soul-bonding!" Rachel exclaimed, eyes wide in fear. "If you die here, you can't come back! You'll be stranded in that world forever!"
"As far as I can see it, if I try to do this any other way, The Master will know I've escaped into the other world, and follow me. If he does that, if The Master himself travels to this other world…" Nathaniel shook his head. "From what I've heard, they are completely unprepared for anything like this. They would be taken over and defeated within weeks. Days, even. So, if he doesn't know I've gone there," He said. "Then he won't follow me. To do that, I'll have to die in a fight, and Keyba just so happens to want my head on a stick."
"Nate…"
"If I can save an entire world, an entire species, then my death here will be worth it," Nathaniel said. "But here's what I need you to do." Rachel looked at him. She knew by looking in his eyes that there was no way she could convince him that this plan was wrong, that this plan was stupid; there were so many flaws in it that a dragon could fly through it. She knew that if she said all of that, he would still go ahead and do it. So, instead of trying to convince Nathaniel of his fallacy, Rachel sighed.
"What?" She asked.
"Don't tell anyone."
She blinked.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm trusting you to lead the resistance here while I'm gone," Nathaniel said. "I need my death to look as natural as possible in this situation, if you go off and tell others that I'm still alive, just in another world… then I might be followed. Hell, I'll probably be followed anyways," Nathaniel admitted. "But it just depends on who is following me. If it's Keyba, it'll be a piece of cake. Gabrielle,"
"That bitch," Rachel muttered.
"If she crosses over, it'd be a little harder to do," Nathaniel admitted. "But I'll manage. But if The Master himself crosses over… then it's game over. For both our worlds."
Paul's fat, naked, body was positioned as such so the webcam would catch everything; he was also faced that way so he could watch the sun go down. Once it did, he would be finally able to start having fun. Like clockwork, as soon as the sun disappeared from the horizon, Paul felt the transformation began. His hair grew longer, began blocking his vision, and his large stomach began pulling in, getting slimmer as his curves began to invert, his man-breasts quickly changing into the desired, perky woman's breasts.
"Here we go!" Paul said, lightly groping one of them. "It's a shame I can only get to play with these for a few moments a night…" He sighed, feeling his groin began to pull up into himself, giving him a vagina as his, now her, thighs and ass grew inwards only slightly. His brown hair began turning a bluish color, fur beginning to spread across his body.
A few days after Nathaniel had "died", Rachel couldn't take it any more. She knew that Nathaniel was counting on her progress to continue leading the resistance against The Master here, but knowing that Nathaniel was in that other world, alone, and probably fighting most of The Master's expendable warriors alone was eating her alive. So, she pulled her new second-in-command aside.
"Listen, and listen carefully, I'm only going to say this once," She said to him. "I'm going to the other world everyone's so keen on protecting, and I'm gonna need you to lead everyone while I'm gone, okay?"
Needless to say he did not take that news well.
Eventually, politics aside, all she needed to do now was to find a way to soul-bond with a human. And as far as she knew, there was only one person who had not been converted over to The Master who could help her.
She knocked on the door to Geia's small home a few miles outside of the city. It was close enough for The Master to keep an eye on her if she did anything to stop him, but far enough away to give Geia enough privacy to do pretty much whatever she wanted, provided that she remained neutral in the battle the resistance seemed to have going. Geia answered the door, the tabby cat anthro narrowing her eyes once she saw who was there.
"What do you want?" She asked harshly.
"I need to soul-bond with a human from another world," Rachel simply said. "And you're the only one who's willing to help me."
"Wrong place," Geia said, closed the door. "Wrong time."
"Then I guess I won't tell you details about the raid The Master is planning on your little house here," Rachel replied through the door. "Like, where and when it will happen. If he plans on killing you or not. If he plans on letting you live and becoming his pet witch. I have all those details, if you want them. All you have to do is get me into that other world." There was silence from the other side, then the door opened.
"Get in here," She snarled, ears peeled back in anger. Rachel complied, taking her time. Geia closed the door. "Soul-bonding isn't that easy," She told her. "For one, your mind, your soul, it will leave your body."
"Yeah, I got that part," Rachel said impatiently.
"If you leave alive, you'll be brain dead," Geia said. "Helpless. Someone will have to keep your body alive while you do whatever you have to in the other world."
"A risk I'm willing to take," Rachel replied.
"And if you die over there… it's going to make it very difficult to bring you back here," Geia said. "Even for someone as experienced as me. Not to mention it would kill the human you bonded with in the process."
"I know all of this, Geia," Rachel replied. "My question is, are you going to do it or not?"
"Give me the details of the raid," Geia demanded.
"Get me into the other world," Rachel said. "And I'll tell you as I cross over."
"Unless you tell me, I'm not helping you."
"Your loss," Rachel said, heading back to the door. Just as she turned the knob, Geia spoke up.
"Wait," She growled. "All right, fine, I'll help you." Rachel turned and smiled.
"Great," She said. "How do we start?"
"Well, it's not like I clap my hands and we all go "POOF" into this other world," Geia said. "It's easy for someone who recently died to cross over, but it takes quite a bit of energy to take a living soul there. I reckon only two people can do it, and one of them is The Master."
"Who's the second?" Rachel asked. Geia only grinned, holding Rachel's head softly.
"You're looking at her," She said, and Rachel's vision was filled with white light.
Short blue fur had covered almost all of Paul's body, leaving a few patches of human skin left as his arms drastically thinned out, her face, neck, and almost all of her body becoming thinner, becoming a healthy weight... for a woman. Paul smiled, giving her breasts another feel… just as Paul's mind was pushed back and replaced by someone else's. Instantly, she gave a cry of disgust.
"What the hell?" Rachel exclaimed, looking at where her hands had been. "That perverted butterball… he was feeling me up again!" Her ears were growing steadily, hair growing down to her shoulders as a small tail started to pop up just above her butt. Her face finally pushed out into a rabbit's muzzle, whiskers growing in as fur replaced skin. Lowering her hands, Rachel gave a tired sigh – almost every night since she got here, this had happened. It was starting to get on her nerves. Tonight, though, she didn't have time to go searching for the webcam she knew Paul had hidden somewhere. Tonight, she had to find Nathaniel, preferably before he did something stupid… again.
"Okay," Geia said, standing next to Rachel in the white nothingness. "Here's what you've got to do. I'm going to make a… sort of door appear. On the other side is the human world. You've got to find someone to bond with before The Master notices what I'm doing and decides to kill me, got it?" Rachel nodded. Geia gave a nod, and with a twitch of her tail, a door seemed to rip itself open in front of her. Rachel stood in front of it, watching as hundreds, thousands of people flashed past the other side.
"How do I control it?" She asked.
"You can't," Geia explained. "The door, for a lack of a better term, is reading your soul and finding someone with a compatible match. Two different souls cannot coexist in the same body for long, so it's looking for someone on the other side with a nearly identical soul to yours."
"Great," She muttered, although she was curious; who would have a soul just like hers? A minute later, her question was answered. And she didn't like it.
"Him?" Rachel exclaimed, pointing to Paul, who was asleep. Clearly he was having a good dream. "Are you being serious? There's no way that fatso could have a soul like mine." Geia looked at the image in the door and laughed.
"It's not just like yours," She said. "It is yours – his soul and your soul are identical," Geia laughed, tail twitching like mad. Rachel gave her a menacing glare as Paul began to stir.
"Who's there?" Paul asked, opening his eyes. He widened once he saw Rachel. "Oh, wow," He said. "This is the best dream ever…"
"Now what?" Rachel asked.
"Now you gotta convince him to touch you," Geia answered.
"Oh, hell no!"
"No, just your hand or your palm will suffice," Geia explained quickly. "Any contact at all will seal the bond. Just remember what I said, don't die." Rachel sighed.
"Alright, alright…" Turning back to Paul, she said, "This dream is going to get a lot better if you just touch my hand," She said, pressing it against the invisible edge of the door. Paul grinned.
"Best deal in a dream ever," He said, reaching out.
"By the way, what are the details of the raid?" Geia asked. Rachel just smiled at her knowingly, and Geia narrowed her eyes, hissing. "There was no raid, was there?"
"Bye, Geia," Rachel laughed. "Thanks for your help." Before Geia could unsheathe her claws and slice her, Paul had touched her hand and she had disappeared.
"Bitch!" Geia shouted, and disappeared back into the physical world.
"How does he always find my undies?" Rachel asked, pulling the pair off her head and staring at it. "I… I don't even want to know what he's done with these," She grimaced, throwing them in a pile of his clothes that had already started to stink. Opening his closet, she dug through the mess, managing to find her own clothes. Pulling them on, she opened Paul's window and quietly jumped out.
"Okay, that's over and done with," She muttered to herself. "Now we just have to… not die tonight." Hopping over a fence and running down a back alley, she laughed quietly to herself. "Easier said than done…"
