Locked Up

Part Three

Tobi hung upside down, her upper body bent towards her legs. She counted to sixty, then relaxed, counting to one hundred and twenty. For the last week, she had come up with a system of one minute bending towards her legs, another two minutes upside down. Soon she was hoping to heighten the time spent bent up to a minute and a half; doing this system constantly had built up her abdominal muscles greatly, which she needed for her plan to escape.

Tobi let herself down again, staring at Allison. Due to the sensory deprivation and the extreme "treatment", she had fainted several times. The "doctors" decided that the treatment would only endanger her health, so they modified it. Allison was still restrained with the leg straps and straightjacket, and blindfolded as well. Now, however, she was sitting against the corner of the padded room, restraints on her feet attached to the wall so she couldn't get anywhere if she decided to move. Thankfully, her earplugs had been removed, so while she couldn't see, she could still hear. The restricting hood that Marshal had put on her was still on, silencing her.

Tobi, on the other hand, had continued to be hung every day for about eight hours. She, like Allison, was gagged with the hood, and thankfully was neither blindfolded or deafened. She wasn't sure how she could have dealt with it. Tobi pulled herself back up, counting to sixty. She had to time this right. She would have about fifteen minutes between nurses checking on them. She dropped down just as the door opened and a nurse walked in. The nurse didn't say anything, just took Tobi's pulse and measured it, then went over to Allison and did something she couldn't quite see. A few minutes later, the nurse turned and left.

That's all the human contact either of them had had in the past week.

As soon as the door closed, Tobi sat up and counted down from two minutes. This would take a long time, and she needed all the strength she could get. She lowered herself. Thirteen minutes.

Tobi started to swing back and forth, slowly at first, and not going very far. Thanks to the amount of exercise she had gotten, she was able to start moving like a pendulum a lot faster than she could before. She started to swing, bringing her head up right before she hit the padded wall. She needed momentum.

Tobi remembered reading in an article that Houdini was able to escape from a straightjacket by dislocating his shoulder. It had been studied several times that a person able to do that would be able to slip the sleeves around and get the hands free. The hard part was popping the shoulder back in, and getting enough force to do so. Tobi's swinging helped gain momentum for her to hit the wall with, if she aimed just right, then…

Of course, She thought as she swung. If this doesn't work and I don't get a chance, my shoulder's going to be infected before long. She had ten minutes left now. Tobi gave a final push, and swung down, hitting the wall with extreme force. Despite the padding, she could feel the concrete wall on the other side, the force enough to crack her head against it as she heard a "SCRUNCH!" followed by an intense pain in her arm. Tobi screamed into her hood, and Allison shifted in her restraints. She couldn't tell what was going on, she only knew that Tobi was hurt. Tobi felt bad for not letting her know what her plan was, but she couldn't count on there being microphones around. She panted, trying to calm her beating heart down. She moved her left arm, the one unhurt by the impact. Her right arm was limp, she couldn't risk moving it just yet. Slowly, she managed to get her left hand out enough. Finally, some hope! Tobi gritted her teeth – this next part was going to hurt…

Lexi, a white wolf anthro with black hair, a blue highlight running down one of her bangs, walked down the hallway.

"I feel so exposed right now," She growled, the tight nurse's uniform hugging her curves. It was white, with a red stripe running down the front, and another stripe across her chest, ending with a miniskirt. Tight thigh-high boots were on her legs, and she wondered just why, why did they bother with this? How was this going to help cure patients?

"I don't know, I think the uniform is cute," Anna, a blonde vixen, replied, adjusting the skirt slightly.

"You would, wouldn't you," Lexi retorted.

"Yes, I would," Anna said, stopping at the door. "I think this is it…" Lexi checked the door number and opened it.

"Well, well… look at this! A wolf, and a cat, all tied up!" Lexi said gleefully.

"Uh, Lexi, I think we're only supposed to check and see if they're okay…" Anna said.

"Yeah, they did tell us that. What they didn't say is if we could have fun while we're at it." Lexi went over to Allison and sat down next to her, lifting her up slightly. Allison squirmed, shouting as she was lifted onto Lexi's lap. "Aww, does the kitty not like this?" Lexi laughed, groping Allison's breasts.

"Lexi…we should just…!" Anna's protest was interrupted as Tobi's arms swung down. They were still strapped into the sleeves of the jacket, and Tobi twisted, forming a stranglehold on Anna. Lexi stared, startled. Apparently she wasn't expecting this, which was good. Tobi glared at her, giving a muffled command.

"What is she saying?" Anna asked.

"I don't know…" Lexi glared back. Tobi said something, and Lexi nodded. "Anna, take off her hood." Anna nodded, then slowly reached up and pulled Tobi's hood off. Tobi's long black hair hung down now, getting into Anna's face.

"Thank you," Tobi said, heart pounding. "Now, get over here," She said to Lexi. Lexi set Allison, who was now still and listening intently, to the side and stood up, walking over to Tobi.

"What?" She spat. Tobi swung forward using her strength and head butted Lexi, and she fell over onto the ground.

"Now, you," She said to Anna. "Let me down." Tobi fought the headache that came with knocking Lexi out, but it was necessary. Anna gulped.

"I… I need to get out of this armlock…" She said.

"The rope is five feet away, you can drag me," Tobi growled. Anna turned and moved towards the rope. Sure enough, the arms of the jacket caught on Anna's neck and Tobi was pulled with her. She gripped the rope keeping Tobi hung upside down. "Now!" She said, feeling faint from all the blood. Anna used her claws and cut the rope, and Tobi fell, dragging Anna down with her. There was a thud as Tobi landed on her head, and a crack as Anna landed on top of her, motionless.

Tobi sat up, brushing Anna off of her. Quickly, she checked – Anna was still breathing, as was Lexi. Standing up, she used her left hand to twist the jacket around, using her teeth to pull the straps out, freeing herself from the straightjacket. Now naked, she ran and turned her shoulder, slamming it against the wall. She gave a shout as her shoulder popped back in, but the pain was quickly followed by relief as the joint popped back into place. Panting, Tobi looked over at Allison and smiled. They were way closer to escaping now…

Marshal was driving home when it happened. It shocked him, surprised him, and made him nearly crash his car.

Everything was normal, and then instantly, nearly five minutes away from the mental institution, everything froze. Either that, or his brain sped up. Yes, that was it, that's what was happening. The speedometer was frozen at 44 miles per hour, the odometer was at 3413.33 miles, and it was at 3411.44 miles when he left. Two miles… what was happening to him? He watched as his hands slowly lost its fur, fingers and nails growing stubbier and shorter, revealing pink skin. What was happening to him? How was…

The answer hit Marshal like a brick wall. This was the edge of the reality shift! It was all true! Allison and Tobi's story was completely true! Marshal's legs started to return to human form and he could see his body up to his elbow continue to change. Then his sped up brain figured out that if he was heading away from the edge of the shift, then… this had happened before! More specifically, every time he drove to and from work, he turned into an otter anthro, then back into a human on the way back… How long had Allison and Tobi been stuck in the asylum? Three weeks? Yes, that sounded right. No, Said a part of his mind. It hasn't been weeks, it's been ye-

Three weeks… Marshal realized just what kind of treatment that he put them through. As his human memories began to return, he felt sick and horrified, none of those "treatments" would be used at all in normal practice! He felt like he was going to throw up, the guilt of what he had done catching up to him. As soon as this… whatever this was, was over, Marshal was going to turn right around and drive back to the hospital, releasing Allison and Tobi from their wrongful imprisonment. He couldn't imagine what they were going through, spending three weeks waking up, knowing that you were not insane, but everyone around was… No, Spoke up the other part of his mind. Not three weeks. Not even months, they've been trapped there for years -

That's when he realized why he hadn't released them. Marshal kept on forgetting.
Marshal's chest was now losing its fur, his face beginning to push back in as his ears flattened and started to move to the top of his head.

Every time he went to work, and every time he drove home, Marshal's transformation was triggered, and he remembered and realized all of this information almost instantly. And then, just as quickly as it arrived, the information left, and he probably would think of Allison and Tobi as nothing more as troublesome patients.

No! He exclaimed in his head. I will remember! I will rescue them, I have to end this, I have to end this before-

Suddenly, things went fuzzy for a moment. Marshal blinked. What was that all about? He felt like he had to do something urgent, something important, but… nothing came.

"Must've been something else," Marshal muttered, putting his foot on the gas, speeding away.

Lexi woke up, groaning. Her head pounded, and there was a pain in her skull. She also felt heavy, like something was wrong… she blinked, shouting in horror.

Lexi hung upside down, a rope wrapped against her legs. Restraints ran perpendicular to her legs, and her arms were wrapped below her breasts in a straightjacket. Her face was covered in a hood, leaving her eyes and ears uncovered. She shouted in anger and fear, then saw Anna below her.

Anna was in a similar state, though thankfully not hung upside down. Anna was lying on her front, arms, legs, and muzzle in a similar state of bondage. Anna looked up at her, struggling on the floor.

"Rise and shine, ladies," A voice behind them said. Lexi growled, that was her next question: where were their clothes? And, bending up towards her legs, she could see just what had been done to them.

Allison and Tobi stood at the doorway, grinning, wearing the nurse's uniforms.

"They're kind of tight," Allison said. "But they'll do. Thanks for the donation, we'll pay you some compensation when we get the hell out of here." Anna tried to turn to see them, but Lexi growled and probably would have snapped at them, if she could.

"Bye now," Allison laughed, waving a good bye to them. The two escapees left and closed the door behind them.

Anna whimpered.

Lexi growled.

Allison laughed.

Tobi smiled.

Allison collapsed

Tobi shouted.

Tobi screamed.

The guard pulled the trigger of the tazer as their bodies twitched.

"Call Doctor Marshal," The guard said his friend. "And then call the Head."

"Really? We're putting him on it?" The second guard asked.

"This is the second time they've tried to escape, if we hadn't noticed them on the security cameras, they would have gotten away," The first guard said. "We have to take this a step further." He looked down at their unconscious bodies.

"We 'aint done yet."
