Holiday @ The Genetic Park
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
I opened my eyes to find myself wake up in an unfamiliar room. For a few moments I panicked, trying to remember where I was. My tail twitched as I became agitated, and I remembered.
Right, I thought. I have a tail now.
Yesterday had been somewhat of a
weird thing, for me. Since my first year at college had ended, a group of my friends pooled our money together and managed to get everyone a pass into "The Genetic Park". We had heard that it was "different' that it turned the patrons into anthros, or furries, whichever name they preferred. We all thought it was a bit different than a regular holiday, so we decided to og. By the time we got to the station, everyone had decided on what they wanted to become, except me. So when it had come time to choose, I noticed that there was a "random" option, and liking surprises, I chose it.
My species: Tiger.
Awesome, I had thought.
Gender: Female.
My first thought had been I don't want to be a girl But, as they day went on, I had discovered other people like me, who (for the most part) accidentally switched genders. Thanks to them (and Tania, I added), I had accepted my change; no longer was I a slightly skinny Caucasian male, I was now an anthro tigress.
I stretched, feeling my joints and muscles tense and relax. I hissed in pain; I
was still sore from the physical activities we had done last night. While I was now comfortable in my new body, it seemed my new body would have to start getting more comfortable with me. I rolled over and froze.
There was someone in my bed with me, wrapped in the covers. I couldn't see who it was, but it didn't matter. There was someone sleeping with me.
Oh shit, oh shit
I thought, racking my brains. What did I do last
night? I remembered saying goodbye to Mitch and Joe, then my friends had come and gotten me, I was so tired
I pulled the sheets down and gasped in surprise at who was under the covers.
"Brit!" I hissed. "What are you doing?" One of my friends, Brit was an anthro mouse for her stay. She sat up, laughing.
"Why didn't you recognize my scent?" She laughed. "I can't believe that actually worked!" I was still startled, I couldn't believe what she had just done.
"You made me think that I slept with someone last night!" I exclaimed. Brit laughed even harder.
"Don't worry," She said after she had calmed down a bit. "You all but passed out last night, we didn't even need to change you, you just fell asleep as soon as we left he field." I blinked. Did I fall asleep that quickly? I mean, yeah, I Was tired, but
Brit tapped me on the nose.
"What?"
"You may want to sheath your claws; you're making holes in the sheets." I looked down and realized she was right. Quickly sheathing my claws, I said, "I guess I must've done that on instinct." Brit waved it off.
"It was worth it," She said. "You were hilarious." She got out of the bed, and I looked around the room.
It was sort of like an apartment; there were two beds in this room, probably a shower down the hall. The beds were mirroring the each other, I had the one closes to the door. I noticed, again, that there were only two beds here.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked.
"They're out, dong stuff," Brit replied, rifling through her suitcase.
"What time is it?" I asked, stretching again.
"Around 10:30."
"A.M?" I exclaimed. How could I feel so tired this late in the morning? "Okay
so, where is everyone else? Room wise."
"Oh," Brit said. "Well, we were originally gonna have you and Derek in the same room like you planned, but then we found out about your change, so we decided to switch Jon with you. We thought it would be less awkward."
"That makes sense." I agreed. I had seen Jon yesterday as we walked to the field, like Brit he was a mouse anthro. I wasn't surprised, the two of them had been going out for awhile, we had all assumed they'd end up as the same species.
"Though, I'm not sure," She continued. "I'm pretty jealous of your figure. Most girls work for years to get a figure as perfect as yours." Underneath my fur, I was probably blushing.
"Well, I didn't plan it that way," I replied defensively. Brit must've sensed my reaction, because she said, "I was joking, obviously. But you have to admit, you are attractive." I smiled, blushing again and grateful she couldn't see it. Looking down at myself, I found she was right, I was pretty hot. I was also wearing the track outfit form last night.
"No one changed me?" I asked. Brit shrugged.
"It would've been too weird," She told me. "Plus, we didn't have any clothes that fit you."
"All right, fair enough," I agreed. "So, what am I supposed to change into, then?" Brit laughed.
"Oh, we solved that problem already."
"I thought you said you didn't have anything that fit me?"
"That was last night, silly!" Brit smiled. "I just came back from shopping a hour ago! I've got all kinds of outfits for you now." I gulped. This couldn't end well.
