After some time and the trip Rei said, the girls were back and in the woods. Rei was in her camping gear setting up what appeared to be a cannon. She wore a basic brown vest and shorts with an outdoor hat. Her cousin Luna was helping out with unpacking some small things such as food or supplies.

“I got all the stuff from the van out,” Luna said.

“Thanks Luna. I’ll help out with the complicated stuff after the cannon,” Rei said. “Man, glad that old thing is still running.”

“It was cheap too. That man was nice,” Luna said.

“Now then… I think it’s ready. Girls! It’s time for your mini challenge!” Rei said.

From a table, the contestants were actually only their heads. In fact, they came to the camping site without their bodies.

Eriza was trying to eat some of the bugs that approached her. She attempted to use her tongue or just bite at the right time. All while failing at catching any bug in her mouth since they were too fast for her. Her limited mobility was not helping either.

Killer enjoyed her surroundings. She looked serene and calm while the others were in the state of shock, boredom, or annoyance. She would sometimes close her eyes while taking deep breaths.

Noel was looking bored while she just stared at the other heads. Especially Jeanne who hid in her hoodie and sat near the shade. The disembodied vampire was scared and wanted to avoid the sun in general. Whenever sunlight touched the head, Noel tried to protect her or watch Jeanne winced. Jeanne did not get any burns, she just hates the sun in general.

“So… with some help, I set up this challenge where your heads will be blasted to who knows where and climb up this mountain,” Rei said. “Teamwork will be important and finding ways to move around will be a challenge. I even have permission to use my magic to have some headless animals roam around if you need it of course. But there might be some human bodies around.”

“I want to be a bear,” Killer said.

“That’s the spirit,” Rei said. “Since Killer won the previous challenge, she gets blasted first.”

“Will do,” Killer said.

“This is insane,” Noel said.

“By now, you should know that all of this is insane,” Rei said as she placed Killer in the cannon. “The first contestant you see after being blasted off will be your partner for this challenge and the main one!”

BOOM!

Killer’s head flew into the sky and landed wherever randomly. There was no screaming with the only sound made from nature after the explosion. Since the heads knew this is based on rankings, Eriza and Jeanne looked over Noel next.

“Uh… isn’t there another way to be blasted?” Noel asked.

“Don’t worry, it will be safe. I even got protective charms on you to make it fun,” Rei said as she placed Noel in the cannon. The cannon shot the head out and Noel was screaming the whole way.

“Ahh. Finally, screams of despair. Music to my ears,” Eriza said before she was picked up and was sent flying as well. Screaming much louder than Noel and breathing fire.

“And you’re the last up,” Rei said.

“Ooh…,” Jeanne moaned as she was picked up and placed in the cannon. The vampire was launched off and screamed as well to who knows where. Rei then wiped the sweat off of her face and stretched a bit.

“Hey Luna, I’ll set up the tent now. Wanna help?” Rei said.

“Sure!” Luna said.

“I’ll get to where the girls are at!” Jerome said.

“Thanks Jerome but you also got some help recording them,” Rei said.

“Oh… okay,” Jerome said.

“We’re not replacing you. They are just far away and you are here. We do got some transportation for you too,” Rei said.

“Alright,” Jerome said.

…

Noel found herself bouncing like a ball after she landed. There was no pain but the head was getting dizzy and disoriented. She never felt like this everytime she detached her head before and it felt too alien.

“These charms are a miracle,” Noel said as she kept on bouncing.

Then suddenly, Noel felt someone hit her and got her stuck in the bushes. When the head looked around, she spotted what appeared to be Eriza’s head stuck between branches.

“You!” Noel said.

“Argh, I must work with you. Then again, I never liked any of you,” Eriza said.

“Why are you so mean?” Noel asked.

“I’m a queen, I can do what I want as I please,” Eriza said.

“Here you are not,” Noel said. “We’re not going to just bow down because you said so. You’re here as a contestant and we will face each other as such!”

“I will not be lectured by a lowly witch!” Eriza said. “Since we do need to work together, you will do as my servant. I would need the body of a snake or bear. Snake has its disadvantages but it might mix well with my blood.”

“Oh no! We are both going to find some bodies and we are going to work together!” Noel said.

“Who put you in charge?” Eriza asked.

“I don’t care! We just need a way to get around!” Noel said before she spotted Luna’s body of all bodies. “What’s her body doing here?”

“That body will do,” Eriza said. “Get over here you brat!”

“Please come here Luna. Come on, you don’t have to climb a tree for her,” Noel said.

Luna’s body was focused on Noel the moment she said “please” and slowly looked over the bushes for the head. She was stampering at the bushes while her camping outfit got stuck here and there.

“Down a little more, please,” Noel said as she felt Luna cup her cheeks. “There you go.”

“Hmph! She got no ears,” Eriza said. “You’re just lucky.”

Noel felt herself being lifted up and attached to the child’s body. The witch was disoriented from the size and feelings of a new body. She looked up at Eriza who just looked away in shame.

“Might as well,” Noel said as she summoned her wand using a hand signed and blasted Eriza off the branches, with the head falling onto the ground and rolled towards her.

“Oh f*ck you!” Eriza said. Noel planned on picking her up, but Eriza backed off as much as a head can do. “Hands off peasant! I am a Queen and will only be able to be carried when I want to be carried.”

“So I just leave you here?” Noel asked.

“Heavens no. I just don’t want to be touched without me being mentally prepared,” Eriza said. “Also I hate you and everyone in this show. Now, you have the temporary right to carry my head!”

“I guess,” Noel said as she picked up Eriza’s head. “Wow… your skin. Despite being dirty, it feels so smooth, especially your scaly parts. Same goes for your hair and horns.”

“I do have proper hygiene and care for my looks,” Eriza said. “I even had the finest skin and hair care.”

“You know, I never really got close to you,” Noel said. “We often have you insult us but never got to know you.”

“Well duh, we’re in a competition!” Eriza said. “I’m not exactly here to make friends.”

“Even so, we could have connections even after all of this,” Noel said. “This may sound cheap but I was hoping we could all be friends in the end. And well, use you guys as references.”

“Oh right, you got that selfish side of you,” Eriza said. “If that is what you desire, I suppose I can fit you in my kingdom. Potentially as a student since you seemed eager. All for praising me for once since coming here.”

“I’ll think about it,” Noel said.

“Great. Now we search for a body for me while we reach the top of the mountain,” Eriza said.

“I guess we can agree with that,” Noel said.

Luna’s head sat on the table while Rei was sitting beside her to enjoy the outdoors. The magician kept looking over her phone on random updates, her disembodied cousin, and the surroundings, all that kept her a bit tense.

“Something wrong?” Luna asked.

“Say Luna. What if I told you that I owed you a large allowance?” Rei asked.

“You do?” Luna asked.

“It’s due to how you are technically working for the show and things got shady since you are well… a kid,” Rei said.

“Yeah… I had a similar talk with my big sister on the matter once,” Luna said. “Especially when I did acting and modeling as a head.”

“Really?” Rei asked.

“Kate is often trying to make a living for us and I wanted to help. I was chosen to be for this commercial with girls as heads get a makeover to look like fruits for a commercial. I was a blueberry,” Luna said.

“Wait… I remember that ad!” Rei said. “That ad was so cute! I thought it was green screened but impressed that it wasn’t.”

“I ended up with more modeling gigs, for kids that is,” Luna said. “My sister would at times make sure that I get paid accordingly. Some of the places I go to seem scummy. At the same time, they are talented.”

“So not NBMonthly,” Rei said. “I would suggest them as I worked with them often. Assuming they got a kid’s column though.”

“Really!” Luna said. “But it would get in the way of me being a magician. At least from what you said in the ANGA comments.”

“Oh Luna, I do wish that but you can try something else if you want,” Rei said.

“Can’t I do both?” Luna asked.

“I can help you with that,” Rei said. “It won’t be easy but maybe we can use that as a way to give you a gimmick. Imagine, pretty magician Luna, known as the sexy model and actress by day and performer by night!”

“I like it!” Luna said.

“Great. Due to circumstances, you are definitely getting paid with benefits. You still need to go to school. And… hmm… I think your sister would know what’s up,” Rei said.

“Oh, she might be concerned,” Luna said.

“Honestly, it’s sus when Mr. Dusk even allowed you here in the first place. I wouldn’t mind if you were a guest but at some point he kept bothering me about you doing more,” Rei said.

“It was pretty fun,” Luna said.

“Yeah but… you weren’t supposed to. I know you want to help but I had to do some paperwork to have you be seen as an actual employee,” Rei said. “Not only were you judge, but you were filming some scenes, offering coffee, did some supply work, and a bunch of stuff off camera.”

“Oh… sorry,” Luna said.

“That’s okay,” Rei said. “If anything, blame the boss who wanted you to do work for free and threatened to lay off some staff members. Including Jerome. That’s just messed up for him to make you do all of that.”

“I get it, I’m a kid and regulations are a thing,” Luna said. “Martin Short said the same thing when I tried asking him questions for ANGA. He did send me an email to mail to him personally when you were on your trip.”

“Oh?” Rei said.

“I’m still waiting for a response,” Luna said.

“One day, you’ll be older and be able to do great things. I’ll make sure of it,” Rei said while smiling before she saw Jerome with her camera. “Jerome, did you record all of that?!!”

Killer’s head was rolling around on her own and used Rei’s enchantment to get around. She hasn't seen anyone ever since she was blasted off. Then again, she was used to being alone when fulfilling any tasks. That was until…

“Oh…”

Killer heard the moan and rolled towards the source of the sound. When she did, she spotted Jeanne’s head burrowed in a hole. The vampire was clearly scared as she tried to go deeper into the whole.

“You can’t make me leave,” Jeanne said. “Not until night time at least.”

“I am a day walker and so are you to an extent,” Killer said. “Besides, you tolerated the sun a couple of times.”

“Yeah but I still hate it,” Jeanne said. “It’s too hot. Too bright to look at. I don’t get the appeal besides growing plants.”

“If it makes you feel better, Rei will punish us if we don’t hurry,” Killer said. “Especially since we are partners now.”

Jeanne sort of crawled her way out as she tilted her head forward side to side, as if she were an earthworm. By the time the vampire was out, she was covered in dirt and Killer looked unfazed by the matter.

“Do you know how to roll as a head? Or have limited mobility?” Killer asked.

“Sort of. I’d probably hold you back,” Jeanne said.

“Don’t worry. I have a plan,” Killer said. “But I do need you to cooperate.”

“Eh?” Jeanne asked as Killer hopped onto her and made Jeanne bounce. “Yiyah!!!!!”

Killer’s eyes glowed as she made precise bounces that kept the two heads going. While it did not look like magic in a traditional sense, Killer was using some form of magic.

“Jeanne, turn to the right,” Killer said. “Your right specifically.”

“I can’t,” Jeanne said.

“Just move your head like when you nod or shake,” Killer said.

Jeanne tilted herself and she saw Killer going after her. She found herself flying high into the sky and Killer was catching up beside her. The vampire could see the top of the mountain and the finish line.

“We… we made it!” Jeanne said.

Before they could, the heads ended up hitting onto a helicopter that had a cameraman and fell onto the ground. Jeanne was screaming in shock while Killer gave a dull but surprised look.

“Oh no!” Jeanne said.

“I did not calculate this,” Killer said. “But I have a new plan just now!”

Killer bumped onto Jeanne as the two heads sort of rolled down and landed. However, they did not land onto the ground. Instead they got bodies of animals! Jeanne had the body of a bear while Killer had the body of a deer.

“Hmm, I surprisingly prefer this more,” Killer said.

“Man, I feel so big and fluffy,” Jeanne said.

“Going up shouldn’t take that long,” Killer said.

“Oh, thank you!” Jeanne said.

“Of course, my partner,” Killer said. “Just don’t get too close to me.”

“Right,” Jeanne said as she tried to adjust to her new body.

...

“Based on this compass and map, we should continue this way,” Noel said.

“Sniff sniff,” Eriza’s head said in Noel’s hands. “I sense a path of poison ivy there. I order you to find a new safer path.”

“No need to say sniff out loud,” Noel said. “But wow. Did not expect you to be this reliable.”

“Oh please, I did a lot of training in magic. Some other worlds say that due to my heritage, I shouldn’t be able to use magic. But I showed them! I made sure they heard me when I conquered them! My family did it for generations and I kept at it! My boasts were never meant to be empty! It has been ever since I came here and I’m pissed!” Eriza said.

“I know you are special, but kind of a bitch as well,” Noel said.

“Well excuse me for showing off my pride,” Eriza said. “Anyways. Looking over your map, which I am impressed with the details, we could try taking a slight left turn until there is less vegetation. While this is mostly ideal when marching with an army, it should work for us despite the circumstances.”

“You know, I kind of prefer you being this nice,” Noel said.

“Silence you! I am only trying to get us to win this challenge using every tactical skill that I have,” Eriza said. “You all fail to remember that I am a conqueror. I know some things too.”

“Whatever you say your majesty,” Noel said.

“Oh… please keep calling me that or anything similar and I shall reward you,” Eriza said.

“My reward shall be that you be nice in your own way,” Noel said. “Not going too far, your highness.”

“Hmph. I’ll tone down my pride only for you,” Eriza said. “If you are willing to be my servant, more rewards shall be given. I’m not like those queens who are evil and abusive. I am capable of being nice to my subjects.”

“That shall be up to you, milady,” Noel said with a small giggle.

Eriza blushed hard and said. “You know… if we do get out of this show. I have a spot for you for sure in my kingdom.”

“I’m not war hungry you know,” Noel said.

“I have positions outside of war. In fact, kind of need that since most demons and dragons aren’t into the more practical stuff. There are some but prefer more. Besides, having a human working for me adds diversity,” Eriza said.

“Thank you?” Noel said.

“Hey! Can’t I be a fair queen?” Eriza asked. “I am capable of being a nice girl with standards. Like how my human farms contain humans that are actually from worlds where they are domesticated or tyrants worse than me.”

“It’s a start. Maybe I can provide a moral and ethics committee?” Noel asked.

“You’d have to pitch it and see if the kingdom agrees. If you can get everyone to vote for you, then I have no choice but to agree,” Eriza said as she noticed Noel looking shocked. “Hey! We got some form of democracy! I know you see me as this sadistic bitch but that’s preserved for traitors, war criminals, opposers, and jerks!”

“It’s nothing… It's just that I was going to hate you but I am glad that we got to know each other more,” Noel said. “Your majesty… right. Got to make that a habit.”

“Carry on with the challenge,” Eriza said. “If you can, find me a body to use.”

At the finish line, Rei was there holding onto Luna’s head after looking tired from hiking up there. She did not use magic and tried to finish the last drop of water from her container. As she looked far, she spotted Killer and Jeanne running towards the finishing line.

“Kind of expected them to win,” Rei said until she spotted what seemed to be a bird or a plane coming towards them.

“Oh hey! That looks like Eriza and Noel!” Luna said.

“WHAT?!” Rei cried as she saw the two swooping down towards the finishing line at a fast pace.

Noel still had Luna’s body but she was riding on Eriza who had the body of a big bird. There were no birds of that size but the type existed in the area. Eriza crashed into the finishing line, causing a crater from where they landed.

“Cool!” Luna said.

“I guess we have our winners for the second mini challenge,” Rei said.

Noel took her head off of Luna’s body and placed herself next to Luna. All while instructing the body to go pick up her original head. When Luna’s head was back on, she cracked her neck a bit before brushing some dirt off her clothes.

“You were amazing Noel!” Luna said.

“Oh, thanks,” Noel said.

Jeanne and Killer crawled by and were disappointed that they were too late. Killer looked down in shame while Jeanne laid on the ground as if she was dead.

“Um… you girls are still winners in my eyes,” Luna said.

“Not enough,” Killer said.

“Oh…..” Jeanne said as she crawled to some shade.

“Look at my majestic large avian body!” Eriza said. “So wide. So smooth!”

“Yeah yeah yeah,” Rei said as she waved her wand and Eriza was a head once more. All while the body she was on had it’s head back and flew off while being it’s regular size. Same goes for Killer and Jeanne. “Since Eriza and Noel won the mini challenge, they get to do some personal rehearsal first! And all of you get two extra weeks of practice since I know your team work will be sh… I mean I need work.”

“Phew!” Noel said. “We got time for our duo act.”

“Do you really think we need it?” Eriza boasted. “I know we will be the best team here.”

“Who the hell are you and what have you two done to Noel and Eriza?” Rei said.

“We’re fine!” Noel said. “We kind of learned to get along.”

“I suppose so,” Eriza said.

“Jeanne. We need to work on our teamwork,” Killer said.

“Of course,” Jeanne said.

“Well for now, you girls get to earn a nice camping trip for the night before we get down to business!” Rei said as she got her wand out and gave the girls their bodies back.

“Thank god!” Noel said.

“I suppose if we are eating outdoors, shall I provide rations and meat? I know how to serve good dried meat,” Eriza said.

“As long as it’s not human,” Rei said.

“Oh come on! Human meat when dried is my favorite!” Eriza complained.

“I’m fine with whatever. Any form of food is a luxury for me,” Killer said.

“Whoa, you eat humans?” Luna asked.

“I do, brat! I am a demon dragon girl after all,” Eriza said.

“Don’t be amazed over that!” Rei said.

“I’ll be fine with some blood packages that I have,” Jeanne said as she was sucking on some vegan blood that she always had at all times.

“I assume the camping site is set up down there,” Noel said.

“Oh right! I even got some food too like marshmallows and all,” Rei said.

“Phew, we may delay eating weird stuff from Eriza,” Noel said.

“It’s just meat!” Eriza whined as everyone goes down the mountain.

…

At home, Pretty Pink’s head was next to Shirley who kept her company on the loser shelf. The former assistant tried to start up a conversation but struggled to think of something.

“I get it. You want to scold me for not doing well,” Pretty Pink said.

“No no…” Shirley said. “I just don’t want to insult you.”

“I’m fine honestly. Just disappointed,” Pretty Pink said.

“Look. That laser thing was big and epic but lacked substance. Other than that, you did your best,” Shirley said. “Hell, I wish I could shoot a big laser like that back then.”

“Do you hate being stuck like that?” Pretty Pink asked.

“Yeah. At least my girl Rei helped me out. Though bumped out that she had extra guests that took my place. For sure I’m judging the next main challenge!” Shirley said.

“I’m glad for you then,” Pretty Pink said. “Honestly… I really hope that all of us can be friends at the end of this. Just like how things were when I was younger.”

“Eh?” Shirley asked. “I guess.”

“What? Can’t we all be friends?” Pretty Pink said.

“It would be hard with that bitch around,” Shirley said.

“I guess but it always works out in the end,” Pretty Pink said.

“I wouldn’t know,” Shirley said as she then noticed something. “Is that a camera?”

…

“Here is a recorded questionnaire that was after our camping trip. Details on that in the next episode along with rehearsals!” Rei said.

The same girls are only heads on a table again.

“It looks like we only have one appropriate comment today,” Noel said.

“Let’s make the most out of it,” Rei said.

I'll get over it. Anyways, I checked out the head shop and saw this elf girl head who claims to be e̶n̶e̶m̶i̶e̶s̶ acquaintances with Eriza and has been i̶n̶s̶u̶l̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ politely talking with me. Can I buy her? I just want to s̶h̶o̶o̶t̶ talk to her.

“I can’t believe you are that stupid,” Rei said. “Well, you can buy the head as long as the head is okay with you but seems unlikely. Especially with your criminal background.”

“Why you little?!” Eriza said as her head hopped off the table in anger.

“That’s it for the day!” Rei said. “Cut! CUT!”

We are experiencing some technical difficulties.

In the back, Mr. Dusk was using a computer to have the questions screened and was laughing like a villain. And Jerome was there recording him.

“What the?” Mr. Dusk said.

“Hey boss, I heard you in the back. What are you doing here?” Jerome asked.

“None of your damn business!” Mr. Dusk said.
