Rei was looking over the comments over NSA and most of it was both expected and as she feared. So much negative backlash, racism, and anything horrible that humanity can offer.

“Racism against me, racism against Noel, f*** Twilight jokes on Jeanne, racism against me, boomer insults to Rosa, feminism complaint, an argument, copycat to ANGA, copycat again, and… oh a lewd comment on Eriza. Why is that the most positive thing here?” Rei asked. “Even after some legit questions as well.”

“Is something wrong Rei?” Noel asked as she came over to the magician.

“Oh just reading over comments and seeing who won last time,” Rei said. “It’s nothing but negative feedback and that’s me putting it lightly.”

“Did I do something wrong?” Noel asked.

“No. If you did, I would have talked to you earlier,” Rei said. “But seriously, why does it matter that I’m a woman and Japanese? I got a deal and I’m working with it!”

“I’ll be going, it must not be a good time,” Noel said.

“I’m fine, it’s just… this amount of stupidity,” Rei said. “After I look into this more, mind calling the girls so I can reveal the winner?”

“Okay,” Noel said before leaving. “I’ll give everyone the heads up!”

…

Much later, all of the girls gathered in the living room to see the results. Rei stared down on the girls with an intense glare or rather acted as if she was doing it.

“Now before I give out the results and explain how each of you did, I will want to tell you all about the overall experience from the competition,” Rei said. “You girls still got a lot to work on.”

“Excuse me?!” Eriza said.

“Oh no,” Noel said.

“It just comes down to experience, lots of things not going to plan, lots of moments that won’t do in the professional world, so much reliance on improv to make things work, and you girls were cutting into each other’s performance,” Rei said.

“I… I take responsibility. If I hadn’t made you fall, I would not had led a good example to everyone by making Jeanne cut my act,” Noel said.

“Actually Noel, I disagree. You were thinking on your feet along with some of you. Despite my claims, they are also some positives,” Rei said.

“Huh?!” the contestants asked.

“What Noel did was a great transition that we did not expect and everyone else went with it. I was really impressed with the idea as it sped things along. I might sound mad earlier but that’s because I know you girls will do better than that as we go along,” Rei said. “Because if you don’t, you won’t be sent home. Your heads will stay here as punishment if you lose the next challenge.”

“That’s kind of scary,” Rosa said.

“I got to git gud,” Noel said nervously.

“Okay,” Killer said.

“How is it different from me and Killer?” Jeanne said. “Our heads are on the shelf every night.”

“You won’t get your bodies back. If you lose, you will remain as your head for the rest of the competition. If you are disqualified, the same will occur. If you drop out, the same will occur. You girls signed up for this and you better embrace it. Of course your heads will be safe, but you won’t have someone scratch your nose all the time,” Rei said.

“Well, I don’t need to worry because I know I will win!” Eriza said.

“We’ll see about that,” Rei said. “Now that’s settled, I’ll give out the results. Now the winner of the first challenge is… (drumroll please)... Eriza based on the polls!”

“Naturally,” Eriza said as she brushed her hair to look cool.

“I’d personally prefer Jeanne or Noel,” Rei said. “Yours was clearly the one that need the most improvement! All you did was torture me and Killer! There was no form of entertainment in that besides for yourself! It’s too basic and you at least got to be more showy.”

“If it’s not fun for me, then it’s not fun for anyone,” Eriza said with a shrug. “What’s wrong with being straightforward?”

“Honestly, you won because there are people out there that are fans of you or are just twisted,” Rei said.

“I just have that charisma,” Eriza said.

“Noel, you did pretty well but it was clear that you lacked experience in performing! Namely in how you were getting tired in the middle of the act. If you expect to work with me, you have to last way longer than that! Don’t even think about just ending something because you were feeling weak. You got to keep at it!” Rei said. “I know you are new to this but you have to take initiative in doing your f*cking part!”

“I’m sorry!” Noel said.

“Rosa… I have to blame myself a little for ruining your act. At the same time, we were really not in sync! This act feels like it’s all about you instead of us,” Rei said. “Just think about that in the future! I don’t care if you saved the world many times as a kid! I’m not going to be your lackey at arms! I’m your f*cking boss! This won’t be like the good old days, you are a grown adult!”

“Yes ma’am,” Rosa said as she looked guilty.

“Jeanne, as a reference for growth, you got to do something different. What you did was good but good will not last long. And grow the f*ck up! You are going to be on stage with me and people will boo us! Even murder us like that bitch over there!” Rei said.

“Salutations,” Killer said.

“I’ll get to you after, young lady!” Rei said. “If you all think that this is going to be like Drake Angel, Howard Weiss, or that new guy, think f*cking again! You may think I’m soft when talking about those girls but they are their responsibility. You girls are mine and I want to have you all be better than them! Do I make myself f*cking clear?!”

“Okay,” Jeanne said as she started crying.

“Yes ma’am!” said Noel, Jeanne, and Killer said together.

“Sure, whatever,” Eriza said.

“And Killer, same problems as Eriza except you wanted me dead! I swear, after this show, even if you won, you will f*cking pay for this!” Rei said. “I had to put up with you because the executives wanted me to! If I had a f*cking choice, you would not be here at all! If you want me dead, fine. I’ll deal with you accordingly. If you want to be in this show, get your f*cking act together!”

“Noted,” Killer said as she remained composed.

“I’m so sorry!” Jeanne said as she crouched on the ground and rolled on the ball.

Noel was speechless as she tried holding back tears, standing there frozen. Rosa tried to comfort her and looked at Rei with fear. The two never seen Rei like this before and it was a clear wake up call.

Eriza however, did not care. She just sharpened her claws with a nail file and just looked at Rei with an expression of boredom. She simply shrugged off Rei’s criticism about her and continued what she was doing.

“Phew, that’s enough of me being Gordon Ramsey for the day,” Rei said calmly. “Sorry if I seem rough as I only wanted you all to be better.”

“I know you do,” Noel said as she was still frightened.

“You really scared us,” Rosa said.

“Argh…” Jeanne said as she was still scared.

“I think I went a bit too far. Oh the things I do for ratings,” Rei said as she knelt down to Jeanne. “There there, I don’t hate you. I just want you to get better. It’s all an act. I only want you to get stronger. Let this be a reminder to get you motivated.”

“[sniff] ok… ok…” Jeanne said as she uncurled herself by still laying on the ground.

“This is nothing new for me,” Killer said.

“Whatever,” Eriza said.

“I hope you girls use this time to think about what you can improve on,” Rei said. “Even though that was an act, I do mean some of what I said.”

“I’ll do my best to get better!” Noel said as she forced herself to cheer up.

“Same here!” Rosa said.

“That’s the attitude I want!” Rei said. “You’ll need it. Especially since if you get last place in  the later challenges, I’ll be taking your head.”

“What?” all the girls asked.

“Due to contracts and all, if you lose, you don’t get to just go home. Your head will belong to me until the season is over. You will sit on the loser shelf as you watch your fellow contestants get first place,” Rei said. “This also applies if you quit or be disqualified.”

“Oh no…” Noel said.

“Phooey. You’ll never get my head,” Eriza said.

“Oooooooohhhhhhhh,” Jeanne said as she worried much more.

“I accept your challenge, Rei Shinozaki,” Killer said.

“I have to win!” Rosa said to herself to pump up. “Now I really have to win!”

“I’m glad you girls are going to take this more seriously,” Rei said. “Though I do take good care of my heads so maybe it’s not that bad from a point of view.”

“Itchy noses… those are the worst,” Jeanne muttered to herself.

“Now for the next challenge, it will revolve around this!” Rei said as she had her wand out and smacked herself with it. In an instant, there was a box where she previously was.

“Oh dear,” Jeanne said as she looked shocked and got up from the floor.

“Where is she?” Noel asked.

Killer remained calm as she went towards the box while everyone else reacted to the disappearance of Rei. The bounty hunter opened said box to see Rei instead of said box. However, the magician was twisted and compressed to even fit in it.

“The second challenge will be about finding unique ways to get me out of this box. At the very least, not feeling cramped anymore,” Rei said. “All while looking cool and flashy with a theme.”

“God, that looks disturbing,” Jeanne said.

In another poof, Rei was back to normal as she stretched and said. “For now, just think about a plan before rehearsals. As for the order, it will be up to a challenge tomorrow.”

“I’ll be prepared for what’s to come!” Noel said.

“Fu fu, I’ll definitely be superior in anything you’ll throw at me,” Eriza said.

“I’ll do my best!” Rosa said.

“Sure,” Killer said.

“Yay?” Jeanne said weakly.

“As for me, I got a shop to attend to,” Rei said. “Oh what fun will I have today?”

…

“Okay… gotta manage the shop, typical. Go on a quick trip for ANGA, already have my bags sort of ready. Now to find myself a substitute judge,” Rei said as she was going over her schedule on the phone.

Despite being the hostess for NSA, she still had to manage her own head store while letting the contestants do their own thing upstairs. All of the heads were looking around, hoping to get sold while Rei was getting bored on the counter with the slow day. Laying on the surface as a bunch of heads stared at her.

“Argh, if only something interesting happens right now,” Rei said.

“Um, hello?!” said one of the heads.

“More like just looking,” Rei said. “I’m so f***ing tired!”

“Oh. Sorry,” said the head.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. I know you wanted to chat, but I’m just not in the mood,” Rei said. “I need something stimulating.”

The door finally opened as Rei’s eyes lit up. She stood up straight and slammed her hands onto the counter, as if she wanted to greet the person.

“Welcome welcome! I got some cute heads for you today!” Rei said.

“It’s just me,” Officer Rudy. “And this little tyke.”

Rei frowned at the sight of the cop and looked at the little girl besides him. Said girl looked to be ten years old with a bow on top of her long fluffy black hair. The girl also wore a short sleeved black dress with a white shirt under. There was a big pink rolling luggage beside her which made Rei raise an eyebrow.

“Wow! Look at all of those heads!” the girl said.

“Meet Luna Shinozaki, apparently your cousin from what I’m told,” Rudy said.

“Wait, a cousin?” Rei asked.

“Well it’s a long story. See, she used to live with her older sister but said older sister is now in college but can’t take care of her. At least due to circumstances such as her roommate and all. You were not available at the time when Luna and her big sister needed a home until now,” Rudy said.

“Look what I can do!” Luna said as she popped her head off before putting it back on. “Kate and I kind of know how to do this after an incident with our heads.”

“Anyone can do that in this shop without accidents,” Rei said. “But that means I got someone related to me who doesn’t judge my line of work!”

“Why would anyone do that?” Luna asked.

“Well… you know. The big family wants us to be doctors or some cra… I mean stuff like that,” Rei said.

“Oh…” Luna said. “I’m surprised to even have a big cousin until social services found out.”

“Just make sure you don’t do anything illegal,” Rudy said as he handed some papers to Rei before leaving.

Rei looked down on the child and said. “Looks like you live with me now… er… I’ll show you where you’ll actually be staying.”

“Okay!” Luna said.

Rei looked at one of the heads and said. “If anyone comes here, tell them that I will be right there after I deal with personal matters.”

“Sure thing Rei,” said the head as she looked at Luna. “Welcome to your new home, dear.”

Luna waved hello and said. “Hi!”

In Rei’s bunker of a home, Luna saw the small living room with the contestants sitting around, thinking of plans for their next trick. The girl looked excited as she then shouted.

“Hi everyone!” Luna said.

“Uh… Luna…” Rei said.

“Eep!” Noel said.

“Who is this rodent?” Eriza said.

Killer noticed Luna and nonchalantly said. “Do you honestly think having a child will make me sympathize with you?”

“Oh… hello there,” Rosa said.

“Is she another contestant?” Jeanne asked.

“Nope! Apparently she will live with me for now,” Rei said. “Meet my little cousin that I learned I have, Luna.”

“I can’t believe there are more people living here too!” Luna said.

“It’s for a TV show,” Rei said.

“Really? I wanna be a part of it!” Luna said.

“Wait… I got it! Luna, want to be a judge of some magic tricks?” Rei asked.

“Yay! I get to see a free show!” Luna said.

“That’s an interesting way of seeing things,” Noel said.

“Great! I was contacted by someone who wanted to judge as well as a special guest. Now that I got this little tyke, I’m all set!” Rei said. “We’ll begin rehearsals after a surprise mission tomorrow! Be sure to think of something juicy girls!”

Rei then got out her wand as she zapped at a wall down the hall of the bedrooms. A new door appeared across Rei’s room with Luna’s name on it.

“There. You got your own bedroom as well!” Rei said.

“Thank you so much, cousin!” Luna said as she rolled her luggage to her room.

“I’m going to hate that brat,” Eriza said.

“Please don’t,” Noel said.

“I think she would liven things up!” Rosa said.

“I’m fine with whatever,” Killer said.

“I just hope rehearsals and that challenge will go well later,” Jeanne said.

“Here’s another Q&A session with our cute heads!” Rei said.

All of the heads of the contestants and Rei were lined up. However on one end, we added Luna’s head to the batch.

“Thanks Rei!” Luna said as she looked at the camera. “I can’t wait to answer any questions you all have for me!”

“Just don’t try to ask anything lewd. I’m watching you all!” Rei said. “Now for the first question.”

Now before I get executed for treason from my previous question to Eriza, I still have a new one for Eriza. What kind of services will Rei do under your command should you win this Magic Show?

“Ah. You know your place. The picture of you fearing me is appealing. Very well! I shall grant you mercy. Especially for voting for me,” Eriza said. “If I do win, Rei shall have the option of being in my magical army or a close servant providing entertainment or magical knowledge. With benefits and pay of course. I provide free health insurance and a bunch of insurance.”

“Tempting but this is you we are talking about,” Rei said.

“You will be mine!” Eriza whined.

“Huh, that’s all the questions we got that are not offensive or death threats? I guess,” Rei sighed. “Tune in next time everyone!”
