The video starts with a Japanese woman in a magician outfit and appearing in front of a webcam. She wore a black vest and shirt underneath with a red bow tie at her neck. Her short skirt was barely seen on camera due to the angle of it. She had a small magician hat over her long jet black hair that was brushed to the side.

“Welcome! Welcome! My name is Rei and the host of the new show ‘New Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ on DIDTV!” the magician said. “You may know me for my head store in SoCal! While I do work there, I was considering a side gig to be a magician again! So after failing to be the host for season 3 of ANGA, I managed to meet an exec from DIDTV and I agreed to be their host!”

Photoshop pictures of five heads appeared on screen below Rei as she looked rather disappointed at the amount. The magician sighed only to regain her composure.

“We got five lucky gals who would be competing in NSA and let’s see what’s up with them in their audition tapes!” Rei said.

Contestant 1:

In an empty room, there was a woman in a skin tight outfit with many pockets and weapons on her with a mini vest over it. She had a long side bang with sharp looking eyes, as if she was trying to find a target. She simply brushed the side of her bangs and gave a serious look.

“Rei Shinozaki. This is the magical bounty hunter Killer and I have been contracted to kill you. Normally I would not make an announcement, but I was told by the many benefactors that hired me to do so by joining this competition,” the bounty hunter said.

“Hold on! You shouldn’t be saying stuff like that!” said someone outside the video.

“What? I am only explaining the facts about my goals as you said,” Killer said.

“Damn it! We’re live online!” said someone. “Just tell her about what you do!”

“My job description?” Killer said. “Very well. I am a trained hunter against magic users and had finished multiple jobs that I would keep classified. I know anti-spell magic with some skills in combat magic and in stealth.”

“Anything personal?”

“Classified information. I have a policy to keep information on who hired me and myself to myself,” Killer said.

“You seriously need a life.”

“I’m currently not dead of course,” Killer said.

“That’s not… nevermind! We’re screwed! The boss won’t be happy about this!”

Rei looked shocked at the video as she was frozen stiff. She waved her wand to have a handkerchief float towards her and wipe the sweat from her forehead.

“Uh… such an interesting character, huh! The producers sure know who to pick for this show!” Rei said. “Onto the next contestant!”

Rei quickly had her phone out and started making a phone call quickly as she looked rather concerned with the audition.

Contestant 2:

In a throne room sat a demon girl with a fluffy dress and cape with shades of magenta. Her skin was a slight tan despite living in a dark and gothic looking place with molten pattern twin horns popping out of her head of magenta hair and a dragonic tail that looked almost as big as her body. Her cheeks had shining scales that may look like blush if it weren’t for the fact that it went down to her neck.

Her throne was of an abomination of a chair and person while her legs sat onto a sickly looking goblin. She would sometimes tap her twin horns at the face part of her chair as she finds relief in the moans of said chair.

“Salutations. My name is Queen Eriza Bethy of House Bethy! Home of Dragons and Demons, conqueror of magic and blood, and the most beautiful demon across the land!” the queen said.

The demoness got up from her throne and glanced at the camera while trying a seductive pose. All while hoping that it got her good spot. Any subjects that were in the room gave a forced round of applause to appease to their queens.

“I intend to use this competition as a way to create a base on Eerth, as they say, and use it to conquer Eerth! Your military and government did not take me seriously but I will show you all that I am a force to be reckoned with! With my wit, magic, and beauty!” Eriza said.

A map magically showed beside the queen as she knelt down and covered her face with one hand. The map showed a magenta shade to represent the lands that she conquered which was the majority of the map. All while flipping to another map to show how she had conquered worlds besides her own.

“For generations, half of my family were dragonic conquerors who took over lands through war. The other half were demons who practiced the dark arts and aided many kingdoms for conquest. I am the result of when two mighty forces combined. While most of my family had perished, I did more to do them proud by conquering the multiverse!” Eriza said as she looked very proud. “Prepare yourself, Rei! You may think that I will be your apprentice but it would be the other way around! Knowing your reputation, I am willing to allow you to be my subject.”

The dragonic demon girl gave out an evil laugh with all the guards cheering for her. She began taking her cape off as the guards looked excited and then…

“Phew! Managed to cut it off at the right time!” Rei said as she looked at her phone. “What do you mean there’s no one else who can join?!”

“Literally no one else besides these five and we’re running out of time!”

“Hell, why bring in someone who wants me dead and now a conquering bitch?!” Rei asked.

“Again! Our options are limited! Besides, AGNA is more popular and we’re not that known yet. At worse, a rip off.”

“Whatever. I’ll roll with it and think of a way to make it work,” Rei said as she remembered what she was supposed to do. “Oh right, Eliza. Love the optimism but calm down a bit.”

Rei tried to collect her thoughts on the contestant only to realize one major detail. “Oh right. Conquest and all. Let’s um… see the next girl while I panic in the background.”

Contestant 3:

“Is this thing on?”

After some tapping, the camera showed a girl who was black and had black pigtails adjusting her glasses. She wore a dark blue robe with a badge on her right side of her chest. She had boots with some heels that had a logo on each side similar to the badge that she wore.

“Hello! My name is Noel Isobel Brandy Pastel Pasteur Livington and I am a recent graduate of Puffington School of Sorcery and Alchemy. With a degree in General Sorcery and a minor in General Alchemy,” the witch said. “By Earth’s standards, I am a high school graduate with some years in community college. At least that’s what the landlady said.”

Noel got out some papers before looking back at the camera. “I had experience in working with potions, summoning familiars, performing high level elemental spells, and altering reality spells.”

The witch looked at more of her papers and said. “I assisted a professor on their quest to improve on a regenerative spell using Jumbo Slugs. I learned many techniques in medical magic in the process and it was thrilling to be their apprentice.”

A box appeared as the witch opened it to reveal some cards. Said cards had creatures bound inside and moving. “I was part of the Gathering Monster club as an extracurricular if you need to know that.”

Noel then looked to the side and looked shocked. “Oh no, I’m taking too long. I really hope to be picked to be your apprentice and succeed in your challenges to be your assistant. I sent you my resume and cover letter in my application as well.”

The witch took a deep breath before she turned the video off hastily and quickly.

Rei was finished screaming but she did pay attention to the video introduction. She took some deep breaths before sitting on her chair in front of her laptop to calmly explain her thoughts on the introduction.

“A recent graduate at Puffington. Man, I actually wished to be there but I ended up in a normal highschool. Even though I work on stage magic, doesn’t mean it’s not magic,” Rei said. “This contestant does look promising but she got to realize that this is not a job interview.”

Rei then took a sip of tea that was floating near her seat before poofing it away. “Even if she loses, I could fit her in to work in my head store instead.”

The magician looked down and realized that there were two more head icons that she needed to cover. Though it was from her looking at her computer screen then looking down.

“Oh right! Next girl!” Rei said.

Contestant 4:

In a bedroom, there was a sandy haired woman tied in twin buns in a pink shirt with a white center with splashes of pink and jean like shorts. She had what appeared to be a toy like wand at hand while doing a dance like pose.

The woman said. “Hi everyone! My name is Rosa but I’m actually… give me a moment. Pinkie Pinkie Magical Change Me!”

In a flash after waving that wand, the woman was now in a pink dress with a large circular skirt, pink vest over a white sleeveless blouse, and white boots. Her hair was now pink with her twin buns slightly larger with twintails hanging out of them. Topped with a small witch’s hat that manages to not cover up her long exaggerated hair.

“The magical witch, Pretty Pink, has returned! Even though the evil Darkbrine no longer haunts us, I want to be the magical hero for you all! Now this is a chance for me to make a comeback!” Pretty Pink said as she posed. “Especially with the rumored evil that lurks in this competition! I swear to prevent any evil from ruining television for you all!”

Pretty Pink then winked with a peace sign over her eyes. “Please cheer me on when I’m on stage!”

“Hey Rosa, I got dinner ready!” said a man.

“Coming dear!” Pretty Pink said.

…

“Wow! Such energy and charisma. Though something feels off,” Rei said. “I really hope that she can impress me. Maybe she needs to cut down on the magical stuff and try to be more… showy or something to reflect her age while giving a sense of nostalgia. We’ll figure it out later in the show.”

There was a long pause as Rei summoned her cup of tea once more and started drinking it until it was empty. After poofing it away once again, she continued.

“I felt that I had seen this girl on the news before,” Rei said. “Oh whatever! Here is our last contestant! Enjoy!”

Contestant 5:

In a gothic bedroom, there was a white haired girl with her electric guitar. She had a black shirt with a gray hooded jacket cover it while wearing said hood and hair messingly stuck out of it. She wore a black jeans that looked ripped as if she did it herself rather than buying in a store where it’s always like that.

“Hello. My name is Jeanne de Luca. I’m… I’m a vampire,” said the shy girl. “Don’t worry. I know how to control myself.”

Jeanne held out some red packs with her name on it while moving the camera to a barrel in her room. She moved the camera back as she still looked nervous.

“See, I’m a friendly vampire with stuff that keeps me friendly. Though I can understand if you are still afraid of me. Especially since my family is literally the vampire mafia,” Jeanne said.

Jeanne leaned forward and noticed that she was still holding her guitar. “Oh right. I play guitar but I can also use magic with it. Kind of like a wand. There’s your typical dark vampiric abilities like hypnosis or shapeshifting but I can use other forms of magic on the side like support magic.”

Jeanne then started playing a riff from her electric guitar which for some reason was loud despite not being plugged in. Suddenly, there were some neon lights appearing behind her, consisting of geometric shapes. Popping out as if you were watching a 3D movie while moving in and out to show off.

Fireworks sprouted from her guitar that consisted of banners of skulls and bats. Before her room can set fire, she summoned rain to put out the potential flames while drying things up with the wind. Her sample performance ended with her room left untouched despite the chaos that happened.

“This is what I am capable of doing and I hope you like it, Ms. Shinozaki,” Jeanne said. “It took some practice for many years but I… I know I can be a proud assistant with my skills.”

The vampire blushed before going to the camera and turning it off.

Rei clapped proudly and said. “Wow! I could use an assistant like that. Imagine mixing music with stage magic like the way she does it. That would be so cool! She’s even a vampire so no complaints about working the night shift!”

Rei then made the photoshopped heads of the contestants grow on her video feed to show off the contestants. The magician looked excited as she got a good look at the photos closely before announcing to the webcam.

“There you have it folks! When we have our first episode at an unidentified date, you get to see these girls in action!” Rei said. “Until then, see you soon and be sure to drop by my head shop!”
