One random day, the Head Chronicler was only a head on a shelf along with her other heads. The only body around was that of her head swapping dawn creed maid that sat in the corner while the two heads of the maid were also on a shelf. It was an easy going day at first until there was a slight bump. All the heads were shocked as they started chatting about said bump. Then again, any small thing is worth chatting about if you were stuck on a shelf for too long.
"Huh?" the Head Chronicler said. "Guess I'll check on that."
A bag magically opens itself to reveal a bunch of bones as it releases the bones and assemble a full skeleton body minus a head. The skeleton picks up the Head Chronicler's head and puts it on, not before skin and clothes slowly form. The Head Chronicler then cracked her neck before heading out of her cart to see what they bumped into.
"I'm glad it's not a squirrel or something like that," the Head Chronicler said.
She spotted what appears to be three headless bodies of soldiers, one male and the other two were female. The Head Chronicler then took the bodies inside her cart as all of the heads get to see. The heads were amazed that there were some spare bodies to be around as a large commotion arise.
"Hmm, who will be the perfect fit for these bodies?" the Head Chronicler said calmly. "That princess did tell us that we might as well take them."
A head from Elios floated towards the Head Chronicler from the shelves and declared. "Obviously should it should be me! I waited for a new body ever since that gas incident. I can never forgive my body for abandoning me afterwards."
The head had a pink bob cut hair with a steam punk looking cap on her with goggles rest on them. As stated, she lost her head in a gas incident and that also explains why she can float around.
"Calm down Brigitte, I have considered you," the Head Chronicler said. "I'm taking account of all the heads who needed a body."
"Sorry," Brigitte said. "Oh, how I miss those gears, my tools, and so much of my job."
The Head Chronicler pets the head. "You'll get back on your feet soon."
A glowing skull cackled. "I demand to take the young man's body so that I can reunite with my wife Josephine!"
"You sure about that, Juan?" the Head Chronicler asked. "Besides how you look and how Josephine looks now, there's also the fact that you may not be able to be attached to this body at all."
"Nonsense! I am grateful for your services, but I ask that you fulfill this selfish request after allowing you to use my corpse for entertainment! Then again, I get to share my achievements to others before my untimely death!" Juan said as purple mist spread further from his openings.
"Right..." the Head Chronicler said.
"Now come on then, let me take the lad's body," Juan said.
"Can it knucklehead! You don't got a neck!" a male head said with a jester hat.
"It matters not! We'll work it out! Besides, you're just a jester that survived the iron maiden," Juan said.
"Don't you dare talk to my love that way," a head of a noble woman with really long hair said.
"Sorry milady," Juan said.
A gothic looking head asked. "Perhaps I might be an option?"
Said head wore black make up with messy black hair. The only color she sported is a pale white which was her own skin. You can tell that she was a witch since her accessories were enchanted artifacts and she wore black runes on her face.
"You still owe me big time! Besides, I still got your body in here," the Head Chronicler said while showing the head her beaded bracelet. "Same goes for any head that owes me stuff!"
"When I get out of here, you'll rue the day that you confine..."
The Head Chronicler placed her finger on the head's lips to shut her up. She looked around to see proper candidate on who deserves until she spotted the head of a Parathian child. Her name is Eerika and her story was told before. She was the youngest head in the collection and most heads that were around her age tend to come and go, especially if they owed her since they get priority in getting a new body or their body back. However, Eerika was here the longest due to her complex views on getting a body.
"Hmm... nah!" Eerika said. "These bodies are too lean. I want something that will make me a buff warrior."
"Well that takes care of that," the Head Chronicler said. "But are you sure? Living with me as a head is not something a kid should go through forever."
"It's either a buff body or my body. Not really sure about the latter until I slay the woman. My body might not be worthy of me anymore or worse, I might be too weak for my body," Eerika said as she is growing upset before calming down. "Sorry for showing signs of weakness."
"Now now, you are strong in your own right during your time here. Being able to stay courageous and happy without a body. That's strength on it's own," the Head Chronicler said. "Besides, you also hunt animals without a body which is impressive on it's own."
"But I want to do more!" Eerika said.
"There there, you will. We'll encounter something big for you later," the Head Chronicler said.
"Perhaps I could have the body. In case that I ever see my daughter again," said the head of an older woman who looked worried. She looked away as if she said something rash.
"Not a bad idea, Peera," the Head Chronicler said. "It's best to be presentable for a momentous moment. I'll even restore your youth to match the body along with your daughter with a potion. My treat!"
"Thank you," Peera said as the Head Chronicler picked up her head and placed her on one of the female bodies.
"Oh my, it's been so long!" Peera said as she started to feel herself and tearing up. "AHHHHHHH!!!!!"
"Hmm, I guess another good choice is the Seeker," the Head Chronicler said as she looked away from Peera.
The Sun Creed head looked at the Head Chronicler in embarrassment and said. "I don't think I'll match well."
"But you deserve better," the Head Chronicler said.
"I enjoy being a head for you. If I were to go out on my own, I doubt that I will fare well. If I had a body and stayed here, the place will be more cramped and I doubt that I will be useful as a maid," the Seeker said.
"That reminds me. Yin, Yang! Which of you two would like this spare body? You wouldn't have to share no more," the Head Chronicler said.
The two maids were currently heads on the shelf as they looked at each other and came up with an answer. However, they seemed to be at odds on the matter.
"Obviously Yin should have the body. It's healthier than her old one and I can manage with her old body," Yang said.
"I vouch for Yang since she needs a more fit body for her martial arts. Obviously, it's best for my sister," Yin said.
"Come now Yin. You need a healthy body for once," Yang said.
"But you deserve more than I do. My body had been a hindrance for you," Yin said.
"I'll skip on you two for now until we find two compatible bodies," the Head Chronicler said.
The two maids looked disappointed and looked at each over for messing up their opportunity for each other. They only bowed or nodded their heads in silent.
"Hmm... on second thought, why don't you take over both the male and female bodies until we can properly decide on who gets what?" the Head Chronicler suggested as she randomly got a devilish idea.
"Excuse me?" Yin asked.
"I always wonder what's it like to have a dick," Yang said.
"If Yang is fine with it, we'll do as you say," Yin said as she looked a bit nervous.
"Excellent. Remember that it's only temporary until I can properly decide on who gets the bodies or if we find the original heads," the Head Chronicler said.
Yin gets the female body while Yang gets the male body as the Head Chronicler attached them onto the shoulders. The two maids were adjusting to their new bodies as they had to share the same body for so long.
"Wow, I feel less sick with this body," Yin said.
Yang tapped her groin and said. "Whoa! It feels weird. Am I technically a guy?"
"Whatever you feel comfortable with dear. Now then, you are free to change into your maid outfits," the Head Chronicler said.
"Thank you milady," Yin said.
"I'm not used to wearing this armor anyways," Yang said.
The twins started stripped off their clothing as the Head Chronicler summoned Yin's original body and took off the dress. All of the heads that were interested were aroused with many different reactions. The jester tried to close his eyes as his wife glared at him. The gothic head and Brigitte sneered at the sight. The Seeker was blushing and struggled to stay calm. The only head that didn't have much of a reaction was Eerika who just looked at the three and the other heads who were overreacting.
"You do realize that they are just changing their clothes," Eerika said.
"Child, close your eyes!" the noblewoman's head said.
"Ooo la la," Brigitte said while looked really red.
"You are not helping!" the noblewoman's head said.
"See child, some girls rather not show off their bodies to others. It can be consider scandalous," Juan said.
"Whah! Whah! Whah!" the Seeker said while looking really flustered.
Peera stood up and turned Eerika's head away from the sight to the wall, much to the head's demise. Peera did the same for some of the heads for their sake and for the maids.
"Hey! What's that for? I see nothing wrong here!" Eerika complained.
"This is for adults Delilah... I mean Eerika!" Peera said.
"This is stupid," Eerika said.
"Madam! I wasn't looking!" Juan said as his skull was turned away.
"Not now Juan!" Peera said.
"Thanks Peera," the Head Chronicler said.
"This is why changing clothes here is so embarrassing," Yang said as she looked and touched her new man parts.
"Must resist, must resist. Ms. Peera, please help me," the noblewoman said as Peera turned the head away from the sight.
"Wait the minute, I wanted the body too. Did everyone forget about me?" Dragon, a former soldier, said.
"Oh right," the the Head Chronicler said. "I'll definitely list you on potential candidates. Besides, it would be interesting to see how our maids work with two bodies of their own for now."
"Fine," Dragon said. "I'll wait as long as this joke last or if we find the original heads."
Yin and Yang were now fully clothed in their maid outfits with Yang looking a bit more flat. The two looked at each other and seemed content with their new look.
"You looking good big sister," Yang said.
"Same can be said for you too. Even if it doesn't match," Yin said.
"I'll get used to it. Maybe I can get a new body that's female someday," Yang said.
"Oh, you two look so adorable!" the Head Chronicler said. "Now, to put her away."
With a small spell, the naked body of Yin was returned to the Head Chronicler's bracelet.
"Now that's settled, I'll figure out who really gets the two bodies after my nap," the Head Chronicler said as she reduced herself to being a head and returned to being on the shelf. All while her body was reduced to bones once again and swept into a bag.
"I hope I can trip less now," Yin said.
"Peera, you might want to step back as it's getting stuffy here," Yang said.
"I feel violated! The void is coming closer!" Peera said.
"You're not under that spell anymore," Yang said as she held onto Peera to calm her down.
"Oh, sorry." Peera said.
"Oh oh," Yin said.
The Head Chronicler was so sleepy and tired that she stopped using magic altogether and completely resting. That resulted in the Head Chronicler looking like a boney zombie.
"I'll deal with the master, you two turn the heads forward again," Yin said.
"Yes, sister," Yang said.
"Gladly," Peera said as she took deep breaths.
