...
In the protoplasm vat, Robin's protoplasm is swimming around with other lost souls like her. She was one of the latest victims to these creatures who ran this island. Filled with regret that she was not careful enough and should of seen this coming. Now she is simply a blue floating head forced to swim in this vat. Wait... something came up on Robin's mind.
"Wait a minute! How can I forget?!" Robin said, "I still got my most valuable weapon! My head!"
The protoplasm wished she has her hands to do a thinking pose, but she would have to do with all that she has. She stopped swimming and simply drifted in the vat. Surprisingly, this helps her think more ideas better when she had a body.
"By the gods! I'll get my revenge on those creatures once I get my hands back from them!" Robin cheered.
Plan A
Robin attempts to swim up for once as she notices that most of the protoplasms only swam around the vat rather than above. The protoplasm got to work as she begin swimming up only for the current to push her down. Despite not having the limitations of a body, she felt herself getting tired and losing stamina. She barely made it to the top, let alone the highest that any protoplasm can reach as she was thrust down to the bottom.
"From the force and current, it would be impossible to get out of here. My mass in this state isn't helping and I'm only slightly heavier than a small pillow," Robin said, "I would need an equal amount of force to push myself out of here."
Robin notices that despite not really trying to move, she is still moving with the current. She also notices that she is gaining elevation as she tilted her head up slightly. The protoplasm thought about it more but realize the flaw to the plan.
"Even if I do it myself, I'm don't have the stamina to do so," Robin moaned, "To think my lack of exercise caught to me even in a spiritual level. It wouldn't make sense as my heart isn't stopping me since I don't have one anymore."
Robin kept floating until she spotted what appears to be Lucina and that particular protoplasm can help Robin with her plan. So the tactician protoplasm swam to Lucina only to bumped into the former princess.
"Robin?!" Lucina asked.
"Lucina! Thank Naga I found you!" Robin said.
Lucina's eyes widen, "No... that means that they got you too!"
Lucina then got closer to Robin as she panicked, "Did you see what they done to my body?"
"Uh... they gave you a nice outfit?" Robin said.
Lucina blushed a darker shade of blue, "This is worse than I thought."
"I should have Miriel analyze the blush of a soul," Robin said before shaking herself, "Never mind that! I have a plan for us to escape!"
"Really?" Lucina asked, "I'm not sure if I can since I don't have my sword or hands to hold a sword at all!"
"No need! Your training will not be wasted for this plan! Just follow my lead and we'll be out of here in no time!" Robin declared as she made a confidant expression.
"What are you doing?" Lucina asked.
"I need hands to convey the idea," Robin sighed.
Plan B
Lucina and Robin's protoplasms descend on the bottom of the vat as Lucina got herself pumped for Robin's plan. The plan is for Lucina to swim as fast as possible all the way to the top, using the current to speed her up. Lucina is doing some odd facial expressions and sometimes moving herself here and there as Robin looks in confusion.
"I don't know if stretching is necessary for our state," Robin said.
"I need to work with everything I have left," Lucina said as she then perches her up her lips, "Feel the burn!"
"Ready when you are!" Robin said.
Lucina is finally warmed up as she said, "Ready!"
Lucina's protoplasm went with the current at an alarming fast pace. It could be argued that this state is faster than running with a body due to having less mass. The princess' protoplasm eventually went so fast that she brushed other protoplasm heads out of her way. She does reach to the top as she managed to crash into the surface.
"Yes! I did it!" Lucina cheered.
That sense of happiness was short lived as Lucina felt a strong force keeping her from fully exiting the vat. Lucina felt the breeze of outside air only to be pushed down and fell into the bottom of the pit like a comet. The whole vat shook as it felt as if some part of it broke. Every protoplasm saw this and felt a sense of hope but it was short. The souls then kept swimming as some have doubts.
"Lucina! Are you okay?" Robin asked.
"Argh! I was so close. If I were faster... maybe I could get out," Lucina said, "I should do some more training then!"
"You do that while I'll come up with more plans that might help!" Robin said.
So Lucina's protoplasm went off to train while Robin is left lost in thought, but all alone. She continue drifting as she is thinking up of many odd ideas with some of them being flawed or not work at all.
"Maybe stacking each other might work, but that barrier is trouble some. Unless we build a stable structure of us all the way up to the top!" Robin said, "But that would need blueprints to perfect."
"I have a suggestion."
Robin looks back and saw what appears to be Aversa's protoplasm. The tactician's protoplasm often feel uncomfortable with Aversa, but now is not the time to be picky.
"I'm listening," Robin said.
"What if we all push this vat on one side together?" Aversa suggested, "The structure of this vat seems to be unstable and it could drop us all."
"With the amount of souls here and our mass... it may work!" Robin said, "Aversa! This could work! We just need to rally everyone here!"
"All in the days work big sister!" Aversa mocked.
"Don't call me that!" Robin said.
Plan C
The protoplasms here were surprisingly willing to follow this plan as they saw first hand of what Robin's plans could do. They seemed desperate in trying to do anything to get out and are bored out of their minds. All from the spinning and swimming, it's driving them crazy.
The plan specifically has all the protoplasms assigned to an edge of the vat that seems to be tilting. Since they are constantly circulating, each protoplasm would take turns in pushing when they reach that spot before leaving it.
"Is everyone ready?!" Robin asked.
All the protoplasms cheered as Robin the shouted, "Go!"
All the protoplasms did their best to push as the vat is slowly making progress in tilting more. It was small but it was working in subtle ways. All the protoplasms kept at it as they headbutted the walls. However, the protoplasms were also so bouncy that the structure was falling apart here and there.
"Okay! Plan D! Use our bounciness per say to push as well!" Robin said as the formation starts to break apart.
Surprisingly the plan was going faster as there was more force on the vat. The whole cauldron felt like it was falling as all the protoplasms begin to cheer about their escape. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred. Every protoplasm got tired. Robin was confused over how this happened as all of the protoplasms drifted back into the current.
"Damn it! We were so close!" Lucina cried.
"Now what? Aversa said as she was close by.
Robin looked at the two protoplasms with a woeful look. So far her plans aren't working, but they are making some progress.
"I'll just keep planning of course!" Robin said with some optimism, "We'll be here for a while, but I know that we'll eventually get out!"
