Lucina was not one to shy away from battle, having plenty of experience under her belt, a long list of skirmishes and assaults. She had survived ambushes and sieges and having taken an active part in them, and her skills were a testament to that. Trained first by her father, then by experienced teachers, and finally, by her own life-experience; she was able to wield her sword with ease and grace, delivering slash after blow with little effort as her feet moved around with precision, grace and swiftness. There was little doubt about her skill, even if her attacks weren’t as powerful as other fighters she faced against.

She had joined the fight some time ago, not able to quite recall an exact number, but it had been a chance to hone her own abilities and try new approaches to her technique. And her foes were as numerous as varied, facing heroes and villains, mortals and deities, humans of all kinds, animals and monsters. And she had learned not to judge someone by their appearance, as outlandish and strange as it may be.

But that mattered little to her, as one of the things she had finally longed for the most had come to happen. Her father, exalt of Ylisse, had finally joined the battle. She had wanted for so long to fight against him, to learn from him once more in circumstances that did not involve a cataclysmic event, and here she was fighting side by side with him.

It was a three-side battle, which had been put together to welcome the new fighters to the group. They were a powerful entity, two sides of the same person, but each being perfectly able to stand out on her own. The warm and caring redhead, dressed in a crimson and green outfit that outlined her curvy figure; and the boastful and confident blonde, who wore white and green on her clothes, just as alluring and attractive. The redhead used fire to power her attacks, the sword she wielded tracing arches of flames and fiery coronas; while the blonde moved at a blinding speed, using light and energy attacks to exploit the opening created by her partner. It had been decided to fight in three duos, so that both newcomers got the full experience instead of switching back and forth.

- Lucina, on me!

- Yes father!

Following her father’s lead, they both lunged forward, delivering a powerful barrage of attacks that made the duo of women step back, bringing them closer and closer. Chrom prepared a powerful thrust, while she blocked and reflected the enemy attacks. The attack hit home, hitting the redhead in the body and making her tumble. The blonde immediately came to her aid, jumping in the air and delivering a barrage of energy bolts.

That would have made them retreat, but a fireball that approached them at breakneck speed gave them more reason to do so. The flaming projectile exploded as the hailstorm of light fell on the previous position, father and daughter focusing on the other duo of fighters. The great hero of legend, a blonde boy clad in blue tunic, wielding a powerful sword able to banish evil and an assortment of items; and a blonde girl dressed in pink and white, a mighty princess who used powerful spells in battle, hurling fireballs and summoning hulking suits of armour, making her just as dangerous if not more.

- Don’t forget us! -Shouted the princess.

- Pft… think you can take me?

The redhead was up again, her blonde partner boasting and taunting. She definitely had a liking to showing off, and the princess had her very own reason to do so. She prepared herself, making sure her stance was correct and matched the one of her father’s; while the swordswomen launched their attack. Instead of answering them, father and daughter launched their own offensive, going after the hylian pair. They had been caught off-guard, and the princess tried to summon one of those suits of armour as the boy took a defensive stance. The chest plate and the helmet came to be, followed by a sword and shield, sabatons, gauntlets and greaves. But that would be it, as the clash was inevitable by now.

- Link!

- Hyaaa!

The boy ran forward as the armour barrelled towards them, the two newcomers also entering the clash. Chrom was able to cover himself and deflect the suit of armour, delivering a powerful attack that destroyed the suit and hit the redhead woman too, having caught her within range. Lucina wasn’t as lucky, being hit by both the hero and the blonde woman, the attacks of both allowing her to remain in position instead of flying off the battlefield.

As her father delivered powerful attacks against the fiery redhead, throwing her damaged body off the cliff and into the abyss below, he dashed towards the princess. Caught by surprise, she could only let out an eek before her father delivered a powerful attack. It hit home, time freezing for a moment as the woman’s eyes widened and her mouth opened, no sound coming out as she rocketed off the stage, leaving a trail of smoke behind.

However, Lucina could not look at his father’s prowess, as she was locked in a vicious struggle against the hero and the blonde woman, the three swords clashing and struggling to gain ground while making sure they did not back down. She put everything she had into holding, all of her strength, her will and heart, her very soul. Truly admirable and a magnificent display of her physical and mental strength, but her foes did so too, both steels glowing with power. But no matter what, she would not back down, as her father would be here soon to help her.

But time froze for her as a loud crack was heard. The eyes of the three widened as they saw Lucina’s falchion crack, the blade shattering in a thousand pieces as both attacks made contact with her. As she flew through the air in shock, her body disintegrated in a beam of light. But as she started to become whole again, something felt different. Some of the fragments of her own sword had hit her, and the other two blades had poured energy into her now broken sword. Could that have affected her somehow. And if so, who had been the first to land the attack on her?
