The Crux of Fate: EssraaThe west side of the Nile was greener. It wasn’t a metaphor, it was a reality. Development had focused on the lusher side of the river ever since the massive Nile had been dammed in the twentieth century. The river had flooded like clockwork for untold eons, but now its irrigation was regular, controlled, and completely man-made. That meant that the idea of keeping both sides green and serene was antiquated, foolhardy, and impractical.
Hence, the resort faced west.
It was an expense that Essraa had been willing to pay for. Building her resort - the “Fourth Kingdom” - had taken a lot of capital, and that funding had only come from countless hours of scraping, investing. A culmination of years of climbing the corporate ladder, working in offices, making use of her degree. It had taken quite the loan and the convincing of marketing, construction, and licensing teams to get everyone on board for this, but now it had paid for itself.
