Four months ago, Emily had just been another customer service rep working off her student loans at the local department store; just thinking about her sudden change of fortunes brought a smile to her face. Captain Christie Chambers had been better than her word, when she’d promised the college graduate free housing for signing up as her administrative assistant she could have never imagined a place like this. A spacious condominium on park grounds with only a few distant neighbors wasn’t something you’d just give away. Working at Grainer National Park really was the opportunity of a lifetime; good pay, reasonable hours, a friendly boss and a condo to boot.
