Another commission from :iconshennanigma: for the MCI Vassal-Drone theme. I'm really pleased I was able to have that lovely artist do a second piece; keeping the aesthetic is important to any corporation, especially an evil one. ;)

Drones come in various shapes and sizes, with the most obvious being the variation between male and female. The idea of a fully anonymous "one size fits all" drone is enviable but not always possible, especially in large MirageCorp branches.

"I make no distinction or preference between the male and female forms," CEO Phantom said at a 2016 press conference. "Our products should be free for use by any and all individuals." Although the cameras were off and microphones silenced, she elaborated in a post-conference speech that "female curves are more frequently appropriated in imagery featuring restraint," but she intended to extend most of the MirageCorp line to others.

In esoteric circles, some drones can even be
loaned or rented for exorbitant sums. Drones that have been trained or possess natural inclinations towards servitude are transported to wealthy dominas and princely masters. Thus far, none of the rented drones have reached their date for release and as such, are not available for interview. Their comments on their time as rented drones usually boil down to moaning, self-gratification, and wobbling knees.

The introduction of a male drone was in a test-phase for some time. Some males had already been equipped as drones; often padded with heavy synthtex and smart materials to appear feminine, or squeezed into a slimming drone-suit. Recent improvements to the ((StudentofRubber) droning process now allow men the same opportunities without pretense. Already, male assets are being repurposed as drones;  removed from dollhouses, disinterred from storage and reskinned as a general-purpose employee.

Regardless of gender, the effects are the same. Alternating between dreamlike pleasure, intense stimulation, and isolation, vassal-drones serve flexible roles within Phantom's hierarchy. Phantom herself claims that they are an egalitarian measure. Superspy or spellcaster, scientist or servant, all are equally nothing within Phantom's realm. All can be prostrate at her tall boots, and all can service her bewitching, buxom form.
