Vassal-Drones, drones, worker bees - these units are diverse in responsibility and use, but also diverse in nomenclature. The 'Vassal' project that birthed them gave no formal name to the finished and enclosed product, so employees and visitors give them various nicknames. Playful nicknames such as "mandroid" or "dolly" are heard just as often with derisive titles like "rubberdoll" or "toy" or "whore". The titles do not always match their use, however.
The three individuals above have been anonymized through the form-matching Vassal-Drone suits. Their former identities were, in no relevant order:
I. A recently-acquired scientist specializing in psychotropic drugs and mind-altering substances. The doctor was acquired from a government prison, and was forcibly enclosed in her suit until her background check can complete.
II. Subject 9093, pictured center, had expressed an interest in MirageCorp after several in-person visits and online research. A persistent network agent noticed their unusual activity and tracked their online presence, noting a correlation with several websites advertising a very esoteric pornographic content. Subject 9093 was acquired while out for a jog, and seems to be enjoying the new rubbery skin in which they have been enclosed.
III. Volunteer 1045 is serving out punitive duties after neglecting her assigned workload. Although employees are encouraged to enjoy the facilities and unique benefits that MirageCorp provides, engaging in sybaritic pleasures and neglecting one's tasks is a serious offence.
MirageCorp drones do not have a purpose to complete. Their purpose is simply to be. Other drones produced by rival companies might be aimed at pleasure or work or other rote tasks, but the units pictured above are fulfilling their designated task simply by standing in a line.
Long-term storage takes up space. While still commonly practiced by MCI and Phantom's minions, drones can be moved from one location to another at a moment's notice, eluding authorities or assailants. Not only are they portable, but they are flexible. Units are enclosed in thick layers of smart-materials that resemble latex or neoprene, but still have a wide degree of motion.
Being enclosed and sealed into the picture suit is the end-goal, for while so sealed the subject is alive, healthy, and utterly helpless. Drones generally enter several states while enclosed:
A. Units can be kept in a dream-like state, during which they can be commanded to perform very rote tasks. While in the dream-state, they are barraged with subliminal and superliminal effects to endear them to their state as submissives that crave sex, stimulation, and structured enclosure. This is the most common state for a drone.
B. Units can be kept 'inert,' or asleep, during which their body functions are slowed. This is ideal for use as furniture or decoration.
C. Units can be freed from all mental conditioning, but have their physical bodies under control. Cortical stimulation allows the drone-suit to move their muscles regardless of their input. Ideal for use as security or for complex tasks. Often, this is paired with intense stimulation. A barrage of physical, audio, and visual input reinforces themes described above. It is more overt than the dream-state, and is generally less effective. It can be used as punishment, or for more willing drones, reward. Pay attention to the occasional squirm or the wiggling of the knees; these tell-tale signs indicate that the drone's senses are overloaded with licking, teasing, sucking, probing, thrusting, rubbing, and all manner of physical stimuli to bring them to the edge of release, over and over.
D. Units can be freed from all forms of restriction and conditioning. These individuals can be dangerous. Some resent their time spent as rubber-dolls. The ideal situation is a subject that is freed from their mental and physical restraint, but is willing to continue regardless. Their lust for latex and taste for titillating submission is quite permanent.
Once a subject can be left on State D and remain nonthreatening, they are deemed suitable for release. Some individuals willingly enter into State D for short periods in order to enjoy the anonymity of being a drone, and the physicality that results from their drone-state.
